On December 27, 2013 around 4:00 AM in the morning long-time assistant of His Holiness Trijang Rinpoche Gen Chonze was making water offerings in Trijang Ladrang in Shar Gaden Monastery. Gen Chonze is already 84 years old and has been serving Trijang Rinpoche’s previous incarnation and the current one till now for over 60 years. Gen Chonze is very devoted to Trijang Rinpoche and is a simple monk and has lived in Trijang Ladrang (residence) most of his life. While making the water offerings in front of Lord Buddha’s image he heard a loud banging at the door of the gate. He assumed it was people who wish to come in to circumambulate as Tibetans normally would early in the morning.
He opened the door and five masked and gloved men took out their knives and started attacking the innocent old monk. Gen Chonze shouted and the Ladrang dogs started barking very loudly. The resulting commotion woke up the rest of the students who came running. This alerted the attackers and they ran off. During the attack they did not say a word and their hands and bodies were covered so no one can see who they were. They were silent during the attack which is very strange nor did they ask for or take any valuables from Trijang Ladrang.
In fighting them, Gen Chonze pulled off one of their gloves which is kept in the Ladrang now. The monks of Trijang Ladrang and Shar Gaden Monastery do not believe it is robbery by the locals because they would not have knocked on the gate’s door to bring attention to themselves, nor would they come into the premises when monks are walking around and the lights are on. They would be more stealth and quiet. It is clearly concluded the Central Tibetan Administration of Dharamsala had sent these men to harm Gen Chonze in retaliation to Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche refusing to attend the Sera Monastery* Lam Rim talks by Dalai Lama. It is incredible that while the Dalai Lama is in Sera Monastery from 25 December 2013 to 3 January 2014 to teach compassion, tolerance and emptiness, just hours away an old monk is being attacked due to incitement at the teachings. The Dalai Lama had a lengthy speech against Shugden and insisted his practice damages his person although the mystery continues on how Shugden can harm the Dalai Lama an attained monk according to his disciples.
A few months back, Dalai Lama had sent the Gaden Shartse Abbot to request Trijang Rinpoche to attend the talks and demanded Trijang Rinpoche to give up the Shugden practice contrary to Dalai Lama’s previous statements. Trijang Rinpoche had replied politely he will not attend the teachings being held between 25 December 2013 and 3 January 2014, and he will continue his Shugden practice. This greatly displeased Dalai Lama and angered the Tibetan Government in Exile known now as Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), and perhaps in this incident of Gen Chonze’s attack, the abbot’s failed visit to Trijang Rinpoche and his subsequent report to the CTA contributed somewhat to this tragedy. The Abbot should take some responsibility in this. CTA has been known in the past to incite riots and violence among the Tibetans if certain factions do not bend to their ways. This follows their pattern of violence in which is common place among the Tibetans.
In addition, there have been monks who have attended the Sera Monastery Lam Rim Teachings by Dalai Lama who heard the Dalai Lama say the pujas by the Dorje Shugden people are ‘killing’ him. This was meant to incite the Tibetans to do something against Shugden practitioners and Serpom and Shar Gaden Monasteries it seems. Otherwise how can Shugden peaceful pujas and prayers be ‘killing’ the Dalai Lama? This violent attack on an innocent old monk happened a few days immediately after the Dalai Lama’s accusatory speech against Shugden practitioners again publicly regarding the pujas harming him. The monks out of concern called Shar Gaden Monastery and warned them that there will be violence against them and especially after the Sera Monastery Teachings (December 2013). True to their warnings, the violence and revenge attacks on Gen Chonze have begun because Trijang Rinpoche refused to attend the teachings in Sera Monastery. Serpom Monastery and as well as Shar Gaden Monastery in South India have braced themselves for more violence from the CTA. The timing and coincidence of this attack directly after the Dalai Lama’s 27-minute speech against Shugden practitioners are uncanny. Perhaps the CTA attacking Gen Chonze is to send a warning message to all Shugden practitioners to fall in line or similar action will be taken against them also?
Serpom and Shar Gaden are two monasteries totaling around 1,200 monks who refuse to abandon their Dorje Shugden practice. For this reason the CTA has had them ostracized and stripped of all rights such as medical care at Tibetan hospitals or the right to vote among the many other unfair practices.
For many readers, it might come as a surprise to you that the CTA and Tibetan leadership are capable of these actions, but to the Tibetans in exile it is common place.
The CTA may deny their involvement in this attack on Trijang Ladrang. Even if the CTA did not direct these men to attack Trijang Ladrang, their incessant dissemination of anti- Shugden propaganda has now incited non-Shugden practitioners to take matters into their own hands. Hence the CTA are guilty by association because their repeated reminders of the ban have resulted in a violent attack on Trijang Ladrang and an innocent monk. This attack was to send a message to Dorje Shugden practitioners everywhere – give up the practice or there will be consequences. To continuously speak about the harmful effects of a practice is totally against the religious freedoms of Shugden practitioners to express their beliefs in peace. The CTA’s responsibility for this incident at Trijang Ladrang is undeniable; whether directly or indirectly, their actions resulted in an attack where an innocent old monk was hurt.
We are happy to report that after spending four days in the hospital, Gen Chonze has some scratches, bumps , bruises and swollen eye but otherwise he was in the hospital and now recovering at home in the Ladrang in Shar Gaden Monastery. This violent attack came just days after Dalai Lama’s speech in Sera Monastery against Shugden and accusing Shugden pujas as harming him. CTA immediately sought revenge against Trijang Rinpoche for not attending Sera teachings. This was also perhaps to teach the Dorje Shugden practitioners that you may not defy the Dalai Lama or there are consequences many have concluded.
CTA often vents out their anger and revenge in violence. Although outwardly they speak of compassion, tolerance, love and world peace, they contradict what they profess in handling their own people who are mostly illiterate and dare not complain or speak up. CTA needs to keep up their peaceful front to continue to gain sponsorship in the millions and support from the West.
The Tibetan government lost their country to China and until now are unable to retrieve it back or make any headway. Why? Because the way they operate their country is not for the benefit of its citizens but pure corruption and favoritism. Violence is common place although vastly unknown to the outside world.
If the Tibetan leadership is truly concerned regarding the harmful effects of Shugden’s practice, say it once and leave it be. Why repeat again and again at every opportunity unless it is to outwardly say you have freedom to practice, but inwardly to incite the Tibetan people to take action sometimes against Shugden practitioners? This is fear tactic as well as loss of freedom of religious practice.

This is just pathetic of the CTA to tend to such an imbecilic and lowly stunt of injuring a sweet, old, and not to mention amazingly devoted practitioner of Dorje Shugden and disciple of the holy Trijang Rinpoche.
Why create such an impact that leads to a rise in forthcoming violence and injuries, all for what? When did religion incest itself with qualities of war? Humanity is already fading to it’s core and this proves that the CTA are already aliens to its definition. CORRUPTION is overriding and no one seems to notice because it is casually sneaking up in our conversations and the things we do daily through malicious categorization – Dorje Shugden practitioners and Non-practitioners. Why does it have to matter!
The ban must be lifted! Now that it has succumb to such degrading actions…and aren’t tibetans a country of religion and peace? The Ban had just made highly respected titles into a ratchet distaste of society overnight. THIS IS SICKENING!

No matter what DS practitioners have to face and go through, they do it without any retaliation whatsoever. Despite the hardships, suffering and pain that His Holiness has caused for them because of the illogical ban, they hold no ill feelings towards His Holiness and even causing harm or hurt to those close to and around His Holiness would not cross the minds of DS practitioners,
But in this case, look at what the anti-shugden people have done. And they claim to be Buddhists whose fundamental teaching is not to bring suffering onto anyone.
What did Gen Chonze do to you? Nothing. What troubles did he create? Nothing. What harm did he do? Nothing. There was nothing that Gen Chonze did wrong besides having tremendous guru devotion and he gets hurt and punished for that?? Are you, CTA, telling us that his guru devotion is non-exemplary that is why you are causing harm to him? An 86 year old monk is punished for loyally serving his guru, who mind you in his previous incarnation, was the tutor to His Holiness too! . Great picture you have painted here, CTA. It’s a shame, and you should be ashamed for your actions.
Funny how you have to result to violence to ‘teach’ others a lesson, or to inflict fear onto others. No other way, is there, because you know that the basis to the ban IS unjust and illogical.

This morning I came to know of this attack made to the Precious Gen Chonze,a diamond pure monk all his life and perfect example of Guru devotion to His Guru H.H.Trijang Dorje Chan.
One of the most lucky person on this planet,I felt very sad for the people who out of their misfortune committed such a disgracefull action of beating a Very Venerable perfect monk all His life.
I pray from the depth of my heart that such actions may never again happen and that all Tibetans high or low may find real peace!

“It is clearly concluded the Central Tibetan Administration of Dharamsala had sent these men to harm Gen Chonze in retaliation to Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche refusing to attend the Sera Monastery* Lam Rim talks by Dalai Lama.”
And how is this clearly concluded by the article? Just because they didn’t want to steal anything? Mere ASSUMPTION. The author of this article has no idea who those men were or what their intentions were, she just merely jumps to conclusions based on predetermined factors in her mind and everybody here jumps on it without any clear evidence.
On the other hand, I could say that this was a “false flag” attack in order to paint HHDL in a negative light with the same amount of evidence given in this article. Basically, there is no way you can come to clear conclusions without clear evidence.

This attack obviously shown us that all the information has been shared on this website is true to the core! When people uses violence, they are resolving to fix the problem quick! If you think about it, the Tibetan has always wanted to be back in Tibet and they are highlighting the fact of Chinese’s oppression of the Tibetan to the world, bringing the attention to the world that violence is not the way to solve any problem. If that’s the case and they themselves doing things with the same method, I do not see how they can rule their government to the success. In a way, they are the same as the Chinese, both wanting things their ways and only know to solve problem with violence. No concern of the people welfare whatsoever.
There is no way that the CTA can be left not responsible for this attack. Because:
1) Gen Chonze was & is Trijang Rinpoche’s personal attendant
2) No other monk was being attacked
3) The attack way is obviously planned with a goal to hurt Gen Chonze
4) The linkage with the recent refusal of Trijang Rinpoche to attend H.H. Dalai Lama’s Lamrin teachings.
It is very sad that people are still selfish for their personal gain. They think nothing about people’s welfare and wanting to make sure their personal interest is being protected. So long the Shangri-la dream of a mystical Tibet with pure Buddhist practitioners. Tibet-in-exile is obviously the true scene of the barbaric behaviour the Tibetans used to and continue to have! How do you support a country like this?

Two Truths,
As an influential leader among the Tibetan community, shouldn’t HHDL be telling his people not to use violence against those with different opinions or views? HHDL as a Nobel World Peace winner has been travelling around the world to promote peace and non-violent, why is he letting this happen in his Tibetan community? Is this double standard or what? I am really confused. Can the Nobel World Peace Panel perhaps justify the act of this man? On one hand HHDL is asking people to resolve conflicts peacefully, on the other he allows attacks in his Tibetan community by keeping quiet.
As stated in his official website:
1. “The Middle-Way Approach is proposed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to peacefully resolve the issue of Tibet and to bring about stability and co-existence between the Tibetan and Chinese peoples based on equality and mutual co-operation.”
All these years HHDL has been trying to settle the political difference with Chinese government peacefully but yet among his Tibetan community he is allowing attacks to happen without saying a single word. I think it will take Chinese government a long time before they agree with the Middle-Way Approach because very obviously he can’t even apply the same approach among his fellow Tibetans.
2. How the Middle-Way Approach is explained on HHDL website is this:
“A. Meaning of the Middle-Way Approach
The Tibetan people do not accept the present status of Tibet under the People’s Republic of China. At the same time, they do not seek independence for Tibet, which is a historical fact. Treading a middle path in between these two lies the policy and means to achieve a genuine autonomy for all Tibetans living in the three traditional provinces of Tibet within the framework of the People’s Republic of China. This is called the Middle-Way Approach, a non-partisan and moderate position that safeguards the vital interests of all concerned parties-for Tibetans: the protection and preservation of their culture, religion and national identity; for the Chinese: the security and territorial integrity of the motherland; and for neighbours and other third parties: peaceful borders and international relations.”
It is the same for Shugden practitioners, we also do not accept the fact that Dorje Shugden was accused as a evil spirit, but we also do not seek for HHDL’s acknowledgement of Shugden’s identity. All we want is that we are allowed to do our practice in PEACE.

Such attack is nothing short of an attempt to instill terror on people for the only reason of their choice of worship.
Clearly, it is to be condemned with much strength by EVERYONE.
People must be free to practice the religion of their choice.
To attack a monk, or ANYONE for that matter, on the basis of his choice of worship is a disgrace to Buddhism, it is a disgrace to humanity.
It is also putting down the century-long Tibetan tradition of debate, it is putting down the Tibetan history and culture.
The matter over the practice of Dorje Shugden needs no violence.
It is a matter that is fit to be discussed through debate, with compassion, with forgiveness, with intelligence and in respect of each other.
Violence helps NOT, it helps NOBODY.

According to wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sangha
Sangha (Pali: सङ्घ saṅgha; Sanskrit: संघ saṃgha; Chinese: 僧伽; pinyin: Sēngjiā[1]; Tibetan: དགེ་འདུན་ dge ‘dun[2]) is a word in Pali and Sanskrit meaning “association”, “assembly,” “company” or “community” and most commonly refers in Buddhism to the monastic community of ordained Buddhist monks or nuns. This community is traditionally referred to as the bhikkhu-sangha or bhikkhuni-sangha. Within this community those who have attained a higher level of realisation are referred to as the ariya-sangha or “noble Sangha”.
The Sangha is the third of the Three Jewels in Buddhism. Due to the temptations and vicissitudes of life in the world, monastic life is considered to provide the safest and most suitable environment for advancing toward enlightenment and liberation.
In Buddhism, the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha each are described as having certain characteristics. These characteristics are chanted either on a daily basis and/or on Uposatha days, depending on the school of Buddhism. In Theravada tradition they are a part of daily chanting.
Its really a Big Shame that as Buddhist practitioners but harm an innocent old Monk. Everyone have their own Guru, Yidam and Protector we should not be act like this.
Some more if really the pujas by the Dorje Shugden people are ‘killing’ HHDL where is the proof?? Why HHDL still alive at such age??
Please Stop Violence Immediately and please dun do this Again!!!

It is unthinkable and will not work if any government is involved in religious issues. It is always hoped that the CTA is the official bearer to bring about the issue of Tibet ‘s political status with China.
However, CTA seem to focus all its efforts to stop and punish Shugden practitioners. It is extremely negative karma to harm a human being and more so when it is a robed monk and who is very advanced in age.
In any society the violence to any one due to religious freedom is not an acceptable morale conduct, let alone for it to be executed within the monastic community.
CTA established its intolerance and disrespect for freedom of religion and basic humanitarian rights.
It is inspiring that Dorje Shugden practitioners will continue to suffer such injustices so that the ban on this Uncommon Protector will be lifted and many will benefit from this practice.

The first thing that came to mind is: how could any civilized person attack an unarmed, elderly individual who dedicated his life to serve the Dharma?! It is appalling, disgusting, unnerving and inhuman.
Based on track record and result from past action, it is logical to deduce that the CTA is behind this event as they have been consistently the sole organization propagating anti-Shugden movements all along. However, this time round, they really brought themselves up a notch on the scale of evil.
The monastery is supposed to be a sacred space where people visit and go to for refuge for peace and spiritual growth. This life-risking event jeopardizes the holiness of monasteries and, maybe even other religious sites. Imagine the magnitude of negative karma the CTA is creating with this attack. Their inability to see a bigger picture and realize how their short-sightedness can negatively impact the entire world of Buddhism make them unfit administrators, what more leaders to a community in exile.
All these recent blunders of the CTS is regressing the works of HH the 14th Dalai Lama and also reduces the credibility of His Holiness: how could such a great personality develop a group of such low morality who strategizes dangerously.
It would be wise for the CTA to immediately stop these harmful acts. I believe that creating awareness of the world through this detailed article is one method that can discourage the CTA.

One would think that a country and government in exile will understand the angst and agony of being deprived the right to be free. To launch an attack on Shugden practitioners defy and breach every single laws of humanity from the right to religious freedom to the freedom of choice. Is the world so blind to not see the carnivorous desires of the CTA to devour the governance of Tibet, snatching it directly from the lamas at the same time crushing a tradition so pure and meaningful that is not only worth preserving but perpetuating? Putting aside the issue of cultural preservation, which to some may not have any direct significance, harming and inflicting an innocent human who is quietly practicing his religion of choice, is despicable.
We must practice what we preach, Mr. Dalai Lama.

How could the monks practice peacefully if there are violence among the place they live? CTA could deny involvement but as the government of Tibet they didn’t maintain peace. If you want peace you don’t go around banning and stopping people from any contact with Dorje Shugden practitioners. CTA is basically isolating people from Dorje Shugden practitioners and claiming they are harmful. You don’t go around banning a practice or tradition when some people who don’t share the same belief or harmful.

To think that an old monk happily going about his morning ritual has to go through this attack is beyond words.
Why would anyone want to hurt someone who has not inflicted any harm on you? Were the attackers blindly following instructions? What do they hope to achieve? Instill fear? Fear of what, who? Why come in the dark of the morning, all covered up?
Apparently the cold attack on an innocent old man was uncalled for. If you have an issue that needs to be heard, bring it up to the correct/proper authority. Do not use force.
Why are you not doing this the true Buddhist humane way, without violence?

CTA will not be able to contain the ban much longer and this is the reason why they are desperate trying to re-enforce the ban through violence. The violence on Gen Chonze, an old monk by 5 masked men is totally cowardly and revengeful.
They should be uniting the Tibetan instead of tearing them apart through prosecution of a legitimate and authentic practice. Why lose the focus and the foresight? After all the Chinese and Panchen Lama will identify the 15th Dalai Lama’s reincarnation in Tibet and he will be trained by the Panchen Lama. The Dalai Lama will practise Dorje Shugden again in his 15th reincarnation. CTA cannot succeed in the ban.

This is very disturbing… how can anyone hurt an old man that didn’t do any harm to other people? Even if he practices something you disagree on.
This incident is unmistakably done to retaliate against HH Trinjang Rinpoche’s refusal to submit to HH Dalai Lama and CTA’s demand to stop Dorje Shugden’s practice.
It shows that CTA is feeling the heat from HH Dalai Lama’s camp. It surely does, by merely looking at the ever rising popularity of HH Trinjang Rinpoche and the growing of Dorje Shugden’s practitioners, one already can see that CTA is loosing grip of its own Tibetans and its ‘fight’ with China authority. Then again, it is still wrong to put this old monk through all this pains.
The ban is really unnecessary and didn’t do any justice to anyone. It only generate hatred, which is the total opposite of what Buddha taught.
Down with ban!

The 5 masked and gloved men attacked Gen Chonze immediately after he opened the gate. They never demanded for money or other precious materials. After attacking Gen they did not steal anything else too .The motive for this attack seems to be to hurt or give a warning to Gen. What message do these attackers want to give to Gen; or to the Shar Monastery; or to the Dorje Shugden practtioners; or to the world ?
Whatever is the message , violence should NEVER be used. It is shameful and disgusting to attack a 84 yrs old helpless monk !! Whoever who did this and whoever that instigated this should repent and apologize for their unnecessary and barbaric actions !

This is utterly disgusting!!! How can a Government/ Administration incite violence against their own people. If they are really unhappy with Trijang Rinpoche for not attending the teachings by the Dalai Lama, they can use other peaceful methods rather than hurting an old monk.
True to the article, it is really a retaliation done by the CTA to show their unhappiness with Trijang Rinpoche. And also a warning to others that if they do not follow or listen to what the CTA says, then bad consequences will follow. It is such a barbaric act in this century where all the Dalai Lama promotes all over the world is compassion and peace!!!

This is really unbelievable and very disturbing! CTA again act inhumanly and really give a very bad image to the Dalai Lama. Using violence for spirituality, really doesn’t equate anything Dharma teaching from the Dalai Lama at all. Once hand giving a lengthy speech against Lord Shugden practices and on the other hand CTA act insanely attacking a respectful monk who has been servicing the Dalai Lama’s teacher (previous life) great master Trijang Rinpoche.
CTA who’s again using violence which is the only barbaric method that they know to govern their people obvious shown how they fail to hold their country not to say how to improve the situation but it’s really fail as in basic human value.
Frankly speak if the pujas by Lord Shugden will really kill the Dalai Lama as Dalai Lama claimed, Dalai Lama would have dead by now as the pujas have been done for so many years and by so many monastery. Yet Dalai Lama still able to give his Lamrim talks at Sera Monastery recently. Look carefully by against the cruel government CTA for the ban of the Lord Shugden pratices where until today there is still no basis to support the claim of harming the Dalai Lama causes so many people in suffering and this is obvious and can witness with our own eyes!
The world should know how this barbaric government runs their show and it definitely will not give any good impression to the Dalai Lama from the view of the world.

As long as I know in the short period I have been learning Buddhism, this act of violence is utterly and completely NOT Buddhist. This attack is no different than barbaric actions by animals without sense. I am shocked to read this and that the CTA is behind it. Yes there is no concrete evidence, I guess the CTA is not as dumb as they look but the chronology of events makes it way too obvious. Like what is written in this article the Dalai Lama and the CTA are guilty merely by association of igniting this act of violence. Guilt does not necessarily mean being caught in the act. In fact to ignite such acts through talks under the pretense of compassion is MORE evil and cruel. This is not religion it is pure evil manipulation no different than politics and gangsterism. THIS IS SHAMEFUL and EVIL. From the bottom of my heart I wish karma takes action on the CTA! And may the many reading this speak up for the many under attack who cannot and dare not. AND, if the practice is killing the Dalai Lama then my simple question is Why is he still alive to talk at Sera?

OMB… This is not Buddhism but downright attributes of hooliganism. How can people on the banner of spiritual practice cause harm onto others, especially one of such defenselessness? Where is the compassion? Where is the act of kindness… all i see is hatred and we all know where that comes from and leads to… not a good place. Enough of this nonsensical violence already. We have to PUT A STOP TO THIS HURTFUL BAN!!!!
This is not religious freedom! This is just plain and simple a human rights violation in any sense of the word. To top it off, its physical and mental abuse and invasion of private property… so many violations for what the CTA deems to be done in the name of spiritual liberties! Whole load of horse shit if you ask me. It is just pure and simple anger and hatred which has NO place in Buddhism and the modern world in general. We can STOP THIS. Make this story go viral and get the attention of the world and then we will see who stands for such acts of cowardice and malice!

This is too much!
How could you yield violence against an old man, especially an old monk, a monk who serves a high lama, HH Trijang Rinpoche, who holds the many lineages of Tibetan Buddhism and Guru of many many students in all over the world.
If this is done by CTA, it’s even more shameful. As a Buddhist, how could we act against principle of compassion and plotting to hurt a monk whose religion and belief is different from yours?
CTA, you are no different from Myanmar government who formulated national government actions and policies which are the main source of brutal persecution and human rights abuses that in effect has led to the ethnic cleansing of Rohingya, the Muslims citizen.
The more CTA uses violence and extreme acts to threaten people to stop practising Dorje Shugden, the more we believe what CTA bullshit about Dorje Shugden is getting less and less popular and people less and less believe in their whatever they said or demonize DS.

In any normal society, any civilised person wouldn’t mask themselves, go up to an elderly person, bash them up and not want any materialistic item in return. Unless they’re deranged and enjoy hitting helpless people for fun!
There’s so much negativity preached by the CTA about Shugdenpas: they worship a demonic spirit, they are evil, they are against the Dalai Lama etc etc.
If being a Shugdenpa means being a devoted student of my Guru (serving him life after life), being a simple Dharma practitioner and not reacting negatively towards my attackers – all of which was displayed by Gen Chonze, then I choose to be a Shugdenpa. Not a follower of the hate party.
Stop spreading hate, CTA. You’re a government body of a “nation” that promotes love, peace and compassion!
If other monks like Ashin Wirathu can be arrested for inciting violence – why not the CTA or (I’m sorry) HH the Dalai Lama?
Inciting violence against a particular party is extremely dangerous as it becomes uncontrollable and untraceable on a bigger scale, as compared to a focused attack.
Besides karma taking its course, who will be held accountable for the attack on Gen Chonze?
Who should be held accountable, the initiator or the attackers?

The violence will only get worse once the Dalai Lama’s new book on Dorje Shugden is published. Prepare for the worst.
Meantime, watch this video in response to the book:

Show me where HHDL has said to use violence. Show me where exactly on the video of his teaching in Sera where he states Shugden pujas are killing him. I watch when he spoke about Shugden and when the book was presented and I didn’t hear him say that. Show me proof this attack was done by the CTA. Again, the article itself is merely based on assumptions.
Until I see proof/evidence beyond “oh they didn’t steal anything” I think its better not to jump to conclusions like everybody else on this website. Just because saying the CTA did it can be used as a talking point for your agenda doesn’t mean you should jump to conclusions without substantial evidence.

In addition, I know there is at least one person on this website who believes Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche is a fake Trijang Rinpoche, who is just becoming the leader of the Shugdenpas in order to defect back to HHDL later, so how exactly do you know for a fact someone with this belief didn’t conduct this attack? The fact that the attackers didn’t steal anything can be enough proof for this theory too… if you take that as enough proof to prove anything.

two truths, what you say doesn’t make sense to me. You kept harping show me the evidence. There are so many articles here on this site related to CTA anti-Dorje Shugden actions on faithful Dorje Shugden practitioners.

I am not convinced with what two truths say. He kept justify his position with little solid backing of what he says. Readers should educate themselves on the Dorje Shugden issue from other posts. More over one should study and gain some Dharma insight to understand better. One would easily be misled if one doesn’t investigate more.
No spirit can harm Dalai Lama who himself is enlightened. As Dharma practitioners, monks included, one vows will protect one from spirit harms. Saying Dorje Shugden is a spirit harming monks who hold their vows well contradict Buddha’s teachings. Harms come to one due to one’s own karma. Also there are so many spirits out there. Why this so-called Dorje Shugden ‘spirit’ is getting so much attention?

two truths you have been jumping to conclusion that CTA is clean, innocent, and have nothing to do with the violence that are happening to Shugden practitioners. Well read more.

No one with the right mind would blame a spirit on his own incompetence. Well CTA does in fact put the blame on spirit.

CTA you’re very brave to be inciting Tibetans to ostracize and harm your own Tibetan monks under Dalai Lama’s nose. This shows your level of Dharma maturity and spiritual maturity. Dalai Lama has given so many talks on to be compassionate to people regardless of traditions. And here you’re doing the opposite what he says. Do you have no respect of His Holiness? And not even a shred of shame nor guilt for your negative actions towards your own Tibetan people?

Shame actions of five masked men, they use knife to attack a unarmed monk. Fortunately, there is no cause life danger of the old monk. This class lawlessness gangster has not wavered Shugden practioners. This case will only make all Shugden practioners to be more united together.

Some of you are not understanding me clearly. It is this article that makes the charge that the CTA was behind this attack (and the rest of you all), so it is up to you all to back up your claims with evidence.
I’m using the example of how some people believe Trijang Rinpoche is a fake Trijang Rinpoche and how those people could be behind the attack with the same evidence you all use to say the CTA is behind the attacks. I never said I believed he is a fake Trijang Rinpoche.
If you make a claim the burden of proof lies with you… and this article and the rest of you here have not provided any proof one way or the other.

@Two Truths
I personally cannot say that the hit was ordered by CTA, but we all know that those 5 cowards attacked Trijang Labrang because of Dalai Lama’s provocations.
1. If Shugden was a evil spirit, being Avalokiteshvara himself, he can get rid of him with no issues. Why isn’t he doing it. There is so many powerful lamas and dharma protectors. Why aren’t they getting rid of Shugden??????
2. They have been against Shugden since the 5th Dalai Lama. 14th Dalai lama tried since 1996. Still him and his evil entourage is not able to get rid of Shugden.
3. It should be obvious by now that Shugden is reality a wrathful emanation of Manjushri and you can’t destroy him.
I wish people would wake up and stop hating their own people.
If Dalai Lama were to put the effort he made on banning shugden on to freedom of Tibet. I think by now we would have achieved at least autonomy if not freedom.

“we all know that those 5 cowards attacked Trijang Labrang because of Dalai Lama’s provocations.”
Really??? do you really know??? again where is the proof???
Here is a quote from Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche from http://www.dorjeshugden.com/controversy/articles-controversy/radio-interview-with-trijang-chocktrul-rinpoche/
“In my own Labrang I have recently witnessed a kind of factionalism and I have discovered that one person in particular was planning an evil conspiracy. This plan was to murder my assistant, Tharchin, and to implicate His Holiness’s government in exile with this odious crime. The conspirator aimed to become chakzoe [manager] of my estate. Tharchin has been very kind to me, more so than my own parents, and has taken care of me since I was three years old. As well as managing the affairs of my Labrang.
With my own ears I heard this person discussing on the telephone a plan to assassinate Tharchin. It is really a matter of great sadness and surprise, especially since the person involved in this ploy has been very close to me as well. If he succeeds in his plan, it would be a cause of great trouble for the Labrang, as well as a cause of disgrace to the Tibetan government and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
These are not lies, but true facts which I want everyone to know. That is why I made this statement.”
You all here need to open your own eyes and demand real proof instead of gobbling up gossip and hearsay just because it fits your agenda.

The quote by Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche is more proof that this was an attack by Shugdenpas on Trijang Ladrang to make it look like it was the fault of the CTA and HHDL. Ever heard of a false flag attack? Google it.
Again I quote:
“In my own Labrang I have recently witnessed a kind of factionalism and I have discovered that one person in particular was planning an evil conspiracy. This plan was to murder my assistant, Tharchin, and to implicate His Holiness’s government in exile with this odious crime. The conspirator aimed to become chakzoe [manager] of my estate. @ Two Truths aka fanatically DL encapsulated
Even if DL takes a crap, you will find some good quality in it.
I believe the person who got attacked is Gen Chonze la and not Tharchin as you mentioned above.
BTW world is watching. DL can’t BS for ever. Mixing religion and politics is old
Tibetan trick that will not work in the 21st century.

The very fact that Shugdenpas would plan such an attack (according to Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche, some would say the highest lama who practices Shugden) regardless of the individual mention is more proof than provided by this article.
This shows that there are Shgudenpas who are willing to carry out such an attack. This time it just happen to be Gen Chonze instead of Tharchin.
Why don’t you follow the example of Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche, where he never speaks negatively about HHDL, gives respect and even displays a picture of HHDL in his gompa, yet practices what he thinks is right. That is a true example of a Dharma practitioner, not protesting and bad mouthing HHDL.
