Dorje Shugden Empowerment At Manjushri KMC - New Kadampa Tradition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaTdFH2vLJk#)
Did you guys see this video that highlights a Dorje Shugden empowerment event at NKT. Unfortunately for us, the actual ritual is not recorded in this video except for a few photos. However, a few snippets of the Dharma talk is shown in this video.
It is so neat! I have never been to a Dorje Shugden empowerment and it is so interesting to see all these faces that attended the empowerment. This was of course conducted at their main Manjushri center in England but imagine events of similar capacity being conducted all over the world. Just one organization is spreading Dorje Shugden to so many people from around the world. It would be neat when the ban comes down and all Gelugs join hands to spread Dorje Shugden out into the world. I just can't wait and meanwhile, I can only rejoice for what NKT is doing.

It is great to see so many people attending Dorje Shugden empowerment in the UK. It's true that if the ban is lifted, then more lamas can resurface from "underground" to give more empowerments to the masses. In the meanwhile, Shugden lamas can always promote Dorje Shugden in China. The Chinese government supports the practice and even restore monasteries and temples of Dorje Shugden in China.
This is Geshe Wangchuk giving Dorje Shugden initiations to thousands of people in Tibet. [url]http://dorjeshugden.com/wp/?p=8039[url] Imagine if hundreds of thousands of people attended?
It's our job to promote Dorje Shugden peacefully all over the world so that HHDL's claims become nullified. Instead of always asking for Dorje Shugden to help us, it's time to repay his kindness by promoting his practice aggressively.
Producing a top quality movie and documentary of Dorje Shugden would create a huge impact on a global level.

There are 1100 Kadampa Centers and branches in 40 countries around the world, and all centers only has one protector - Dorje Shugden.
Also, they are famous for their The International Temples Project (ITP) that was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso with the vision to build a Kadampa Buddhist Temple in every major city in the world.
These Temples are dedicated to world peace and everyone is welcome to visit them and enjoy the peace and tranquility they provide.
They also do daily puja at Kadampa Buddhist Centers, which is the Heart -- a Guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa combined with the condensed sadhana of his Dharma Protector and a short mediation on Lamrim. Of course, they were also the one who published 'Heart Jewel: The Essential Practices of Kadampa Buddhism'. In this day and age, because they are big and independent, hence they do not fear the ban and their organisation continues to grow with the blessings of Lord Protector Dorje Shugden!

Thank you for posting this video although too short. The dharma talk, introduction to Dorje Shugden's practice is BEAUTIFUL. Geshe Kelsang really can produce such great Western teachers. I think it is beautiful this holy nun can speak in perfect English and explain the practice and empower so many into Shugden's sacred mandala.
I feel so every grateful to teachers like this Gen-La Dekyong who patiently and with such devotion spread the lineage of our teachers as taught by His Eminence Geshe Kelsang who is a living Buddha in our 21st Century.
I wish Geshe Kelsang very very very long life.
And I wish his devoted disciple Gen-La Dekyong many more years of turning the wheel of dharma and Shugden empowerments.
May Geshe Kelsang's centres continue to thrive another 1,000 years!
Very wonderful video we must share with others.

BEAUTIFUL AND INSPIRING. Despite all that is happening, with the ban and with many many year of the Tibetan Govt putting them down and discrediting all that they've done, even putting out petitions to hunt down Geshela... his work, his students, his Dharma teachings and centre continues to flourish!
This is a clear indication that they are definitely spreading pure Dharma and if they are not, wouldn't they have closed down by now according to the laws of karmic repercussions for those who practice and spread tainted teachings? What more they are practising a "demon cult" Dorje Shugden according to the Tibetan Govt. Well if they truly are then why are they still growing??
According to PK Dey, a human-rights lawyer from Delhi, Dorje Shugden worshippers are suffering harassment from the Dalai Lama's followers and his government, citing door-to-door searches and wanted posters as examples.[68] In 1998, Dey stated that he had gathered 300 statements from Tibetans living throughout India who claimed to have been subject to harassment or attack because of their worship of Dorje Shugden.[113]
Tibetan Government in Exile issued a politically motivated letter expelling Geshe Kelsang from Sera Je Monastery. Tibetan politics, especially as mixed with religion, are no stranger to medieval intrigue and corruption. This curious piece of agitprop, which was intended to punish and ostracize Geshe Kelsang, is full of strong accusatory language and numerous references to 'cult', 'cultists' and 'cult leader'. Through these actions, the Tibetan Government in Exile intended that the cult label would stick to punish Geshe Kelsang for daring to disagree with the Dalai Lama and pose a serious obstacle to the growth of the NKT (which, unlike Tibetan Buddhist groups, is not under their control).
And even after all these accusations... they are still growing. Doesn't that tell you something? I think Geshela and his students show great courage and loyalty towards their Guru and practice. And because of this they grow, unlike FPMT who seems to be going the opposite direction due to their broken samaya, which is very unfortunate. Perhaps this is why Lama Osel is now Osel Hita and will not return to FPMT as their root Lama.
Discriminatory policies of FPMT:
(1) no one who holds any position in the FPMT organization is a Dorje Shugden practitioner
(2) those who seek ordination within FPMT are also not worshipping this Wisdom Buddha,
(3) Buddhist Dorje Shugden practitioners may not even attend teachings within the FPMT!

In this time of ours how many organisations can boast of producing many monks and also great teachers when everyone's desires are overwhelming them it is NKT of course.
What cults actually produce dharma teachers that benefits the community and all, under NKT the dharma teachers teach compassion and how to gain inner peace there is no Buddhist Jihad. The teachings from NKT and all of Gelug tradition promotes peace and harmony and it is of so much benefit to transform people's lives.
Again I ask what cults produces teachers and monks who expound the truth! Cults do not talk about the reality or what is real or the truth, if it did all its followers would run. Outwardly Dorje Shugden looks demonlike to many people who do not understand the iconography behind it, but he is pure compassion!

This wasn't a recent empowerment was it? The original video was posted up in 2010 but I hadn't seen it before, so thanks for the share. It's amazing to see how many people there were. It's a good sign that the practice and lineage certainly seems to be flourishing in the face of so much opposition (and even that characteristically bad weather of the north of England!)
I liked this, what Genla Dekyong said:
We need help, support and power - we need power. [...] We're asking Dorje Shugden, "please help me with my Dharma practice" [...] So through coming under Dorje Shugden's loving care, and relying upon him, he will guide us on the correct path - what an amazing path.
I have been thinking about what it means for someone to help us in our Dharma practice. What exactly is that? And how would this be of any relevance or interest to someone who is NOT in Dharma, nor actively looking for anything spiritual? Would they feel that all of this does not apply to them and they "don't need it?"
I have been coming across quite a number of Dharma practitioners who give the impression that unless you are in Dharma and following such-and-such a path, in such-and-such a way, then you don't need Dorje Shugden or Tsongkhapa's practices (or any practices for that matter). They feel that unless you are following the path in very specific way, then you may as well not do it at all. I've also been noticing with some interest how there are very strong opinions on this forum that don't think it valid or "right" to talk about Dorje Shugden in the capacity of him helping us with the more mundane matters of wealth, health, family, relationships etc.
So let's look at this statement again: "We're asking Dorje Shugden, 'please help me with my Dharma practice'"
First, what does Dharma practice mean? This alone has so many varied meanings for so many people (not always necessarily correct meanings or motivations). But ultimately, I think, we engage in Dharma practice - or actually, in anything that we do - to find happiness, wisdom to know what to do in difficulties, and peace. We all want the same things, whether we manifest them in the same way or not.
So while one person's dharma practice may mean intense study and meditation upon the Lamrim, another person may express their practice simply through offering a candle daily. That's what their level of "practice" is for now. In some cases, people may not even be able to find that interest in themselves for spiritual practice because they are so very much absorbed with the world outside of themselves - the finances, families, friends, relationships, children, career. We can't fault someone for that in the same way we can't fault our pet dogs for not having an inclination for Dharma - everyone is at different levels and each have their own karmic dispositions, and environments.
If you consider things in that way, then we can't impose our concept of what "dharma practice" is on someone else, expecting people only to engage in Dharma if it is direct study of the Lamrim, retreats, study, teaching - and all the things that would be considered very "heavy" and far removed for the average person out there.
I've been thinking about this debate on here as to whether it's beneficial to "promote" Dorje Shugden's practice as one that will help us in wealth, relationships, friendships, businesses and careers, family, health - which should really be the very things that we're trying to detach ourselves from.
But hey, you can't get rid of an attachment overnight, plop someone into a retreat and tell them to start reading the Lamrim. It isn't going to happen and we have to be realistic about that. But what we CAN do, is to start at the level they are at, wherever that might be. Work with the attachments, instead of to deny them. Isn't that precisely what Tantra is anyway? So if someone is interested in money, give it to them first - reveal to them the true blessings and powers of the Dharmapala through the language they're most familiar with - show me the money!! If someone wants health, then give that to them first. Feed the body before you feed the soul, as it were. People aren't going to even want to go near a lamrim book when they have supposed "problems" to deal with first on the outside. So let's deal with those "problems" first, help them solve those and then introduce who's really behind helping them solve the problems - Dorje Shugden.
So in this way, I think that "helping someone with their Dharma practice" could be something that doesn't look at all like what we think is Dharma. It may very well NOT be the Lamrim, or any kind of formal practice. It could just be to ease their secular concerns first before going to the next level. Not everyone out there in the world wants to sit on a forum and discuss spiritual matters, so how else can we get them to understand the blessings of the Dharma and the Buddhas?
I like what Genla has said here because she has spoken in terms broad enough to encompass many different needs and levels of practice. This is precisely Dorje Shugden's nature - to not discriminate between one person's needs and another. the way of the Bodhisattva after all, is to find every possible way, tirelessly to relieve the sufferings of others. And mind you the word "sufferings" doesn't have to mean a deep, philosophical, sociological postmodern condition. It could mean someone doesn't have a job, or enough money to put food on the table, or a very troublesome child, or an abusive partner. Before getting into the four noble truths, the 8 verses of mind transformation, the 6 of this and the 10 of that, wouldn't it be great if we could just help out these people with what they need now?
Dorje Shugden manifested at this time not just to watch over us as we perfect Nagarjuna's middle view of emptiness. Surely, as part and parcel of that, he will help us from the very basics of stepping foot onto a path to lead us basics. It's unfortunate that we've come to a time when we need this kind of babysitting, but that is the reality of the world now. Shugden would not be the fully enlightened buddha that he is if he didn't help us on every level - from the basest, most mundane - up to full enlightened. And yes, that could possible, very well mean helping us to win the lottery. I don't think we should scoff at that idea, but regard it as a true skilfulness - an answer to that very prayer spoken by Genla: "Dorje Shugden, please help me with my Dharma practice"
-
I am sure there must be many other groups or dharma centers throughout the world that are encouraging and teaching new practitioners, and when the time is right, they will publicly emerge like wild mushrooms. NKT centers remain steadfast with Dorje Shugden practice no matter what HHDL said. To them CTA is just a small thorn that will be brushed off in due time. Soon.
It is refreshing and healing to watch such videos and they would be great aids to share with new inductees. It gives renewed hope to the older practitioners especially in monasteries where the ban is in effect for some of these great practitioners are aging.
-
I am not sure if this is empowerment, but seeing the number of turnouts in the hall make me very happy!! Dorje Shugden practitioners has been "suppressed" for many years, and it is always glads to see this go mainstream!!
I have a request: Can someone here please show the monks in Shar Gaden & Serpom Monastery about such videos. Let them know that they are not alone and we are in this together!
What is said in this video is exactly what my Lama told me, "Pray to Dorje Shugden to guide us in our Dharma practices". If we have a strong motivation to practice Dharma and we pray to Him, He will give us the necessary resources. More importantly, when we pass away, He will come in a form of a monk and hold our hands to a good rebirth so that we can continue our practice IF WE ARE FAITHFUL TO HIM.
I certainly hope that when I die, I will see Him in a monk robe and hold my hands to a good rebirth. After all, that is most important for me now...

I love the description and explanation given by the anila on the Dorje Shugden initiation. It is so simple, so to the point and it represents what Dorje Shugden means so accurately and his goal and his mission as well. It is very nice to hear that she reminded everyone on the real purpose of Dorje Shugden, that he is here to help us remove obstacles in relations with our Dharma practice. That I think, is the most important part of all. If we request Dorje Shugden's help for mundane things such as money and material wealth, then we are directly pulling him down on the level of a spirit as people usually do ask spirits for such things as well. Why ask for something so small from such a great protector as Dorje Shugden when he can confer upon us the attainments of Bodhicitta to us? Is that not a waste? and to ask for anything less than that is more or less practicing him for the wrong reasons.
I have heard from my lama about what this initiation entails. It is basically the Lama taking the hand of the student with one hand and taking the hand of Dorje Shugden with his other hand, and joining the student's hand with that of Dorje Shugden. Then, the lama tells the student that this is your protector and that he will protect you until you attain Bodhicitta. It is a very beautiful ritual, if one may call it as that. As much as I love Dorje Shugden, it is humbling for me to admit that I have yet to receive this from my Lama, but every time I think about sogtae (the name for Dorje Shugden's initiation), i would start visualizing and imagining how it would be when I actually receive the initiation. Wow!! to actually hold the protector's hand! To be guided by both my Lama and protector in my Dharmic endeavors so that I may never ever lose my goals in this life or in future lives! My heart is filled with excitement and tears are welling up in my eyes as I visualize my Lama telling me "This is your protector until you attain Bodhicitta".. I am dreaming and praying for that day to come. It would be one of the most memorable day of my life!
NKT Is still growing well and strong despite all the nasty press against them, created by the self proclaimed crusaders and people who are jealous of their growth. I must admit tho, a center of that size would have their share of politics, but people who abandon Dharma due to politics should not even be in Dharma anyway as they did not study and practice the Dharma for the right reasons but only for a false sense of peace and security. But despite all of those, more people are actually learning and benefitting from them rather than running away. More people are receiving initiations. More people are studying the Lamrim. More and more people are becoming monks and nuns and even more are training to be teachers due to the very complete system of education that was modeled after what is used in monasteries. If this is not a sign of success, what is?
The initiation of Dorje Shugden read out really makes me feel safe. No doubt it reminds me of my protector, but at the same time, it felt like something that I used to have. It is a very familiar feeling..I felt very soothed and safe by her reading. Also, Dorje Shugden's initiation is unique as it does not entail a lama putting a vase over your head, but your lama actually takes your hand to join with that of the protector. Another unique trait of our wonderful protector!

Not everyone out there in the world wants to sit on a forum and discuss spiritual matters, so how else can we get them to understand the blessings of the Dharma and the Buddhas?
There is some good points to ponder here... thanks honey. Yes I do think the "norm" out there who is the majority does not even know about Buddhism let alone some Protector that promises them He will protect and help them on their "Dharma practice" So far 8 out of 10 of my friends thinks Dharma is meditation, 6 out of them thinks meditation can be YOGA - the exercise that helps one shape the body, and 3 out them do not like or wants to go near any "organised religion"... to them everything is a cult haha.
So basically most people are interested about improving themselves without the hocus-pocus stuff on faith but hocus-pocus stuff on improving their livelihood, relationship, wealth, career, family... they would surely embrace and be more open. Hence in this so called degenerate times, we got to use very skillfull methods to bring them on to that eventual spiritual "path".
Skillfull would be to use what they are most attached to, the very things they value to draw them in... so if it is money, career, relationship... so we use that to talk about Dorje Shugden and how He could possibly improve their "lifestyle" - no harm trying some may think... some will consider and some will do anything to have a good "feng shui" happening in their life.
Hence yes ultimately Dorje Shugden's role is to benefit the "Dharma Practitioners" to gain "Bodhicitta" and be on to the all "Enlightened path" but this BENEFIT can be in so many varied ways and activities... surely Dorje Shugden would know which is best for the person, that is why Dorje Shugden is Manjushri.
So far most of the people who came across Dorje Shugden I know is because they had some kind of problem and they needed quick help... after Dorje Shugden helped them... their faith then grew and that is when they start "practising Dharma".
Here are some accounts of what people have been experiencing, they tell their story and how Dorje Shugden benefited them ;) http://dorjeshugden.com/wp/?cat=943 (http://dorjeshugden.com/wp/?cat=943)

NKT has always amazed me. Whenever I meet people and discuss about Dorje Shugden, they will always ask: "are you from New Kadampa?" This simply means that NKT is famous for Dorje Shugden practice and the dharma work that they are doing. The 1000 over centers around the world, it always amazed me that even with the ban, the protest, the pressure around all around... NKT managed to surpass all of these and the practice is growing even more and touching more people... This proven that if it is pure dharma and practice, it will grow. Again, it shows the power of Dorje Shugden. Just like what the wonderful holy nun said, we need power and support from a wisdom being - Dorje Shugden.
The video simple exudes calm and peace. How I wish I was there? I almost forgotten how wrathful Dorje Shugden looked! I am amazed at NKT's achievement, the will to spread Dorje Shugden and they have benefited so many people. I can't wait for the time when the ban is lifted. How powerful Dorje Shugden will be!

Gen-la Dekyong is so right when she says "we need help". Boy, do we need help! Not only is it the time of degeneration, but Shugden practitioners are facing tremendous pressure for their faith. In the face of all these obstacles to growth, I am happy to see that Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is able to garner so much support - financial and spiritual - to bring Dharma here to the West in such a big way. The temple is beautiful and the grounds are huge. There are so many disciples there, young and old, all following our sacred lineage and upholding it, in the same way that the sangha are doing in India and beyond.
Geshe-la has accomplished so much for the Shugden cause, and although he faces a lot of criticism for his methods, the protests he has so-called organised, and for being a "cult", no one can deny he has built a bastion of Buddhism in the West. Is there a bigger picture coming soon? Will the ban be lifted soon? Whatever the answer is, Geshe-la's work will stand the test of time... and if/when the ban is lifted, NKT will be in a prime position to explode the path of Shugden to the world.
I so so wish I could have been there but I wasnt in the country. How fortunate the audience are to have received the sacred lineage. And i do rejoice that there were so many who were able to attend. I love Gen-la Dekyong's description of Dorje Shugden's love, power, and protection towards us. I love how she can communicate directly to the English speaking students, without the barrier of a translator. I love how she looks so happy when she is teaching; almost radiant, with her Guru's teacher behind her. I also love the comments from the audience, and rejoice to see that young or old, all have found a path in Buddhism and in Shugden. More western sangha please! May the lineage spread far and wide!
-
It is really great to know that there is Lord Dorje Shugden empowerment, especially it is done with so many people despite the ban. Rejoice with NKT is doing. I truly pray that the ban will be lifted soonest so that there will be more Lord Dorje Shugden empowerments to be given to bless more people.
“We need help, support and power – we need power…. We are asking from Dorje Shugden, ‘please help me with my Dharma practice.’”
My eyes are wet and feel so connected when I heard what Gen-la Dekyong said. Yes, that’s what I have been praying to Lord DS and he has been supporting me all these while since I known him. I have more chances to learn and practice Dharma now. Without him, I think I would not have progress so far in my Dharma practice, meet with so many Dharma brothers and sisters and be so closed to my Guru. Thank you Lord DS.
Let’s work hard to spread Lord DS teaching and create massive awareness so that it will push CTA to lift the ban soonest! When that day comes, more people will be blessed and benefited from Lord Shugden.
-
This video is beautiful and the dharma talk by Gen-la Dekyong is inspiring.
Despite the ban, it is great to see so many people attending the Dorje Shugden Empowerment and I rejoiced that all these people have the merits to receive this sacred empowerment. This is a good sign that the lineage and practice is growing. I can't wait for the time when the ban is lifted and all those DS practitioners now underground can resurface. Dorje Shugden will spread and flourish even more all over the world.
Let us play our part and support the lifting of the ban as we need Dorje Shugden in this degenerate time. "Dorje Shugden, please help me with my dharma practice."
-
Thank you for sharing this video. I was so touched by the sincerity of Genla Dekyong. She is so gentle and genuine and conveys the care of Dorje Shugden so well. I really wish that many more people will watch this short clip and be as touched as I was. It really moved me to tears to hear someone speak with so much conviction about the loving kindness of Dorje Shugden. And I loved to hear the testimonials of those who were at Manjushri Centre – when I heard them say how peaceful it was and sociable, I really felt like hopping on the next train up to Ulverston. London is so crazy and I do love it here but sometimes I would love to take a break and find some peace. Those who are at NKT, is it really so peaceful or is it a façade? I don’t mean it with offence but sometimes dharma centres appear all jolly hockeysticks on the outside but inside is chaos and turmoil and more stress than the outside world. So what is NKT really like? Do share!
-
Yes, we have no power to overcome our delusion, we need help, we need Dorje Shugden help me with my Dharma practice. Dorjen Shugden is sure would benefit all of us in our Dharma practice. Let us together support the lifting of the ban.
Thank you for Genla Dekyong, this video is inspiring.
-
I have never been to a Dorje Shugden empowerment ceremony before but this is really going to be interesting for me. It is great to see so many other students and teachers in the world are doing their part to help promote the practice of Dorje Shugden! Genla Dekyong for me is such a gentle lady in her speech to spread the practice of Dorje Shugden. i am so ever envy of the people who attended empowerment meetups such as these more so it is of Dorje Shugden. I sincerely wish the practice be lifted as soons as possible so that more and more people are aware and be able to practice is openly. I pray for myself to be able to attend one such event during my lifetime!
-
what is this all about? everything this nun says is so vague and new agey. all this stuff about love - oh please. there are so many bookshelves full of these kinds of self help lovey lovey books. give me a break already. this isn't dharma. she doesn't say anything tangible. she just keeps saying you should pray and ask shugden to help you. and love makes the world go round. and we need help and support. So pray, hm!! isn't buddhism about helping yourself and not just throwing it all on some god to help you? this sounds just like those christians sermons they made me go to as a kid where they just tell you that you should put your faith in god and that's the end of it. Buddhism is supposed to be so logical and progressive. but here she is just talking like those wooly new age healers. i didn't learn anything from this video and i find it hard to believe that anyone here who is a real practitioner would either. how is this an empowerment?
why do all of you just jump on some invisible band wagon rah rah rah all just saying how great it is. do you really think it is? what do you really get out of this video anyway that could actually help you or which you don't already know from a self help book?
-
I like this video very much, in fact, it is too short, and I love the explanation of Genla Dekyong, it is so insightful and powerful, every sentence, every word he said really touches deep into our heart.
I like especially the statement below:
We have no power on our own to overcome delusions, we need help, and we need Dorje Shugden’s help.
Yes, only enlightened being can help us in this degenerate age, due to the attachment through our senses, we created such delusions, that bring us to a stage that we are so destructive to the people around us. In such, we definitely had no power to overcome our delusions, therefore, we need help, and we needed help so much to fight with our delusions.
Dorje Shugden is born in this era, he is specifically manifest to cater to our level of delusions, he is the un-beatable protector at this time. Seeing so many people attend the Dharma talk by Genla, it is very inspiring, these people are educated, and they understand the effectiveness of Dorje Shugden in helping in our daily life. Despite the ban of Dorje Shugden, but as we all can see here in this video, Dorje Shugden still shines very well.
No one else in this world will love us like how Dorje Shugden does.
-
Dear Wisdom Being,
Gen-la is giving a talk in London this weekend. Get there if you can. x
-
Cool video,
What beautiful surroundings, beautiful temple.
Gen-la's voice is beautiful, so appeasing.
Dorje Shugden may be baned in the Tibetan community but what is the Tibetan community compared to the world population? What if a ban upon a small community means that the practice of peace and kindness spreads throughout the world population?
Thank you for sharing this video.
-
It is amazing to see so many people of the West is a Dorje Shugden empowerment. THis is the first time I see such a thing and I am impressed. Genla Dekyong is so calm and collective in delivering her teachings. I really what she said that we need Dorje Shugden to help us in our Dharma practice. Suffering, pain and difficulty comes from delusions and to overcome these delusions, we need help from Dorje Shugden because we have no power to overcome it.
Dorje Shugden is the protector of our time now because of the degenerate times where people are chasing for materialism. So, Dorje Shugden works in a way to provide some form of materialism to the person who prays and through that creates a way to help the person to develop the Dharma seed in them, so eventually they will start their journey in Dharma.
As for Karla, did you not hear from the participants that they had a beneficial time in the empowerment and they came out recharged with a better frame of mind. There's no better way to learn from someone who knows than reading from a book.
-
Thank you for the video. I felt peaceful watching this video and felt a great that DS practice is still very strong and growing rapidly. NKT is worldwide and growing fast and big.
Yes we need help in overcoming our delusions we need a powerful protector Dorje Shugden to guide us to the correct path.
-
It is most heartening to note that there was such a big crowd of people attending a Dorje Shugden empowerment, at a time when the ban on Shugden practice was already on in full force. Not only that. H.E.Geshe Kelsang and NKT have done Dharmapala Dorje Shugden proud by spreading His practice so far and so wide. They have now over 1000 centers around the world and there are many NKT monks and great teachers like Gen-la Dekyong, who has conducted this empowerment ceremony so beautifully.
I love watching this empowerment ceremony. The words of Gen-la Dekyong are both simple and profound at the same time, very suitable for the differing needs of the people present for the ceremony. Some would be new to Dharma and some would be serious practitioners. Gen-la Dekyong begins with requesting Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden to "please help (us)with (our) Dharma practice". This is the need of every Dharma practitioner, that our Dharma Protector will help us with our Dharma Practice.
Then Gen-la goes on to entrust all at the ceremony to the kind and compassionate care of Shugden, like the care of a "qualified father or mother"; so all are embraced by Shugden's powerful love and care, the care of "Wisdom Manjushri" . Further on, Gen-la entrusts all who are present to Shugden's guide, for Him to guide on "the correct Path, the path of Sutra and Tantra". Such an all-encompassing empowerment!
-
It's a very nice and soothing video, thank you Big Uncle for the sharing.
I really like the part Gen-la Dekyong says about the care Dorje Shugden gives to us, it's really more that anybody in the world, the cares that protector gives us is beyond our imagination. Although the way Gen-la says is very gentle and soothing, yet I feel strength from Dorje Shudgen, from his loving and kindness.
May I gain more merits to have chance to have the empowerment of Dorje Shugden one day.

What a wonderful video. The short teaching by Gen-la Dekyong is so simple yet powerful, not only her devotion toward Dorje Shugden but also to her Guru Geshe-la.
At 0:52 she mentioned : "Geshe-la said love is the best method to solve our daily problems; is the best method to be happy; is the best method to make others happy". Relying on Dorje Shugden is not about to have any mystical, supernatural power, or just material wealth although we need them in daily life. The most important point to be remembered is that we are requesting Shugden the wisdom Buddha to give us the support and help our spiritual practice. Not just solving our daily problem, but making others happy as well which is a Bodhisattva way of living.
We need power, we need support from our Guru and Protector. Testimonial given by the attendee are mainly focusing on love, peaceful and sociable. If Shugden really a "demon", I would say he is the most lovable "demon" we have ever met. I rejoice for the growth of Shugden practice. I pray that Shugden empowerment will be given to the world by various language and places.

Thank you Big uncle for sharing this video.
I like the part Gen-la Dekyong says about the love and care Dorje Shugden gives to us.
She said "He will guide us to this correct path, NOW IS THE TIME TO RELY UPON DORJE SHUGDEN"
We can rely upon Dorje Shugden in our dharma journey, embodies DS good qualities and he will help us in our dharma. And if with deep faith we develop respect for him and hold these special feelings continually, we are relying upon Dorje Shugden in thought.

Thank you Gen-la Dekyang for sharing the benefits of practicing Dorje Shugden, his love to us is more than our parents.
May the ban be removed very soon, may the people all over the world know Dorje Shugden. I wish one day I can receive an empowerment like this too.
-
Thanks for sharing this video clip, Gen-la Dekyang she has a very kind look and soft voice, listen her teaching feeling very calmly. Dorje Shugden is a very powerful protector, protector help me a lot, thank you Dorje Shugden.

I've had the opportunity to visit Manjushri Centre many years back and remember spending some time appreciating very much the beautiful forms of Dorje Shugden in the main prayer hall. I love how Geshe Kelsang Gyatso has made Wrathful Dorje Shugden forms to look so peaceful, to match the mental inclination of western practitioners. And Gen-la Dekyong certainly projects a very peaceful demeanor, gentleness, and such sincere and moving teaching to introduce King Dorje Shugden.
The delivery is so gentle that Gen-la Dekyong beautifully showed through her speech, the gentle and caring qualities of Dorje Shugden.
Now, who would believe the atrocious accusations against gentle Dorje Shugden after listening to Gen-la Dekyong!
Much appreciation to NKT for creating this video and making it available to us all over the world. I love how the short excerpt is interspersed with pictures of people smiling, happy and sharing testimonials about their experience. Great way to promote Manjushri Centre's teachings and Dorje Shugden.

They were so fortunate to receive DS Empowerment. What Gen-la Dekyong said during the ceremony was really touching, DS is compassion, DS is love. She mentioned Dharma is the only thing that can bring us out from our delusions, and DS is here to give us help, to assist us in our spiritual practice.
I am a practitioner for almost 10 months now. I have not received the empowerment, but I feel the power of DS. DS has helped to create condusive environment for me to do my spiritual practice. Compared to 10 months ago, my Dharma knowledge has improved a lot and I am able to help others with Dharma.
I hope I will be able to receive DS Empowerment in future. Finger crossed.. :)

Thank you big uncle for sharing this video here with us although it is short and does not contain a lot of information. To me, I would definitely be drawn to Dorje Shugden after listening to Gen-la Dekyong. She exudes such a positive energy and she is very soft spoken yet convincing. Everyone could see that this is the result of her DS practice that promotes peace and harmony, inwardly and outwardly. I rejoice for the members of NKT in this empowerment ceremony. May I have the merits to attend a ceremony such as this soon.
-
Thanks for sharing this short yet awakening video. I'm amazed to see the turnouts in the hall. With all the activities that NKT has been doing, it clearly shows that they surpass all the ban, protest and pressure from anti Shugden people, and they make Dorje Shugden practice grow. Dorje Shugden practice is definitely pure Dharma, otherwise NKT wouldn't be growing at such rapid rate.
Love when the holy nun said :" We need help, support and power…" We indeed need help from this Wisdom Buddha to clear our deluded mind that obstruct us from pursuing our Dharma path. I was moved by how Dorje Shugden's caring and loving qualities was delivered by Gen-la Dekyong in a very gentle and pleasing manner. May the ban be lifted very soon!! I really wish the monks in Shar Gaden could have this opportunity to spread DS practice freely and openly...

This is great video to watch, thks for sharing!
Genla Dekyong done such a good job, i felt calm and learn so much whatching this video. She has power of speech, her talk get to the point and easy to understand. This is true dharma. Now i understand the main reason behind that NKT can grew so fast with so many branches all over world, which is result of guidance of great master Kelsang Gyatso. Not only this, is their dharma teachers sincerity true motivation to share with others the meaning of happiness by spreading buddhism.
NKT practicing real compassion to overcome all obstacles and unfair treatment from CTA to non stop spreading dorje shugden to the world. This shown no matter what happen will not stop them practicing dorje shugden. We should hold ds practice well and gather our positive forces to make the ban lifted.
May i receive dorje shugden empowerment one day!
-
Thank you for posting this video although too short but it is a good talk indeed. The energy from Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong is so peace and so patiently. i was move by her talk when she speaks we need power and help from Dorje Shugden in our dharma practice. It is true we need tremendously help from Lord Dorje Shugden to remove our illusion because we are so silly.
How powerful by just loving kindness with our heart can bring so much joyful to ourself and people around us. I strongly believe if we practice it well every single day with the support, power and help from Lord Dorje Shugden and Je Tsongkhapa, it will bring us up to the beyond level.
Very wonderful video i must share this with my friends.
Thank you again for NKT for producing all these wonderful video. Rejoice...
-
Thank you very much for the video. :) From the video I observed that it is not uncommon as I think and people are open to Dorje Shugden. It is my limited thinking and view when I first heard of the ban without checking the facts and by indirect observation from other people practicing. Are they becoming more kinder, more compassionate, becoming more human being?
It is some of us, include me, who jump up and down saying this is spirit worship because of what we had heard while we continue to go to temple to ask for assistance from deities without questioning ourselves what we are doing at this moment is spirit worship. We trust our wisdom. No matter which side we support, we are not spending our time wisely by shouting negativity continuously. This tell others it is okay to look down on others beliefs, which is the opposite of what Buddha taught.

Wow! There are sure a lot of responses. Thank you and I am glad you guys find it wonderful to see so many people receive the empowerment and blessings of Dorje Shugden at NKT. I have been researching online a little about Dorje Shugden's empowerment and I found out that it is traditionally called Sogtae or Life Entrustment. And so I found a rather interesting article that gives a description and explanation on Dorje Shugden's Life Entrustment that might be helpful in understanding what it is :-
Life Entrustment
A complete and historical understanding of life entrustment, or srog gtad (pronounced as 'Sogtae'), would be welcome in order to properly consider something so-often mentioned but rarely understood. In any case, many detractors of Shugden utter the words “life entrustment” as if it was a grave matter somehow distinguished from the rest of Vajrayana Buddhism. However, the term is overly mysterious when considered out of the context of having considerable knowledge of Vajrayana Buddhism. Upon examination, life entrustment can be found for many other protectors. And life entrustment is not unlike many other subsequent permission initiations (rje gnang) given for yidams, with a few exceptions noted.
The exact origin of life entrustment seems to be unknown, and it is also possible that the term came to be popular at a certain time and was used in place of initiation (rje gang). It would appear that “life entrustment” (srog gtad) and “life empowerment” (srog dbang) are used interchangeably. Although life entrustment is similar to a subsequent permission initiation (rje gnang), it would appear the term life entrustment is never used in relation to yidams. Life entrustment does not entail self-generation, and it appears there is a lack of recognition of this fact by Von Brück. This is possibly the root of confusion of Von Brück’s investigation of this matter:
The meditational practice regarding these yidams is identification with the deity, which is possible through complete surrender or the 'life-entrustment' of body, speech and mind by special initiation. (CDI, 335).
Describing identification with a yidam, self-generation or deity yoga, as life-entrustment is a misappropriation of the term life entrustment considered here. Self-generation and life entrustment cannot be assumed to be the same thing, the former term is used to describe this identification with the deity in practice while the latter term is used in the initiation process only. Usage of the term surrender is also non-technical within the context of Vajrayana, and it is not relevant within the context of initiation or subsequent deity yoga itself.
In any case, one can find life entrustment rituals in the 17th century by the Fifth Dalai Lama for the protector Dorje Barwa Tsel. Dreyfus claims that “It does not appear that these ceremonies are practiced in the case of protectors such as Ne-chung, but I have not been able to obtain clear information on this point.” (SA, 266). However, a life entrustment ritual for Nechung can be found in the collected works of Thuken Dharmavajra (1737-1802, bka' srung rgyal po sku lnga'i srog gtad bya tshul ches gsal ba). By the 19th century, life entrustments can be found in some Gelug masters’ collected works. In the collected works of Changlung Pandita (1770-1845), one finds a life entrustment to the Five Warriors connected with the Hayagriva Most Secret Form (rta mgrin yang gsang). The collected works of Gendun Dargye has a life entrustment ritual for Setrabchen per the instructions of his teacher Gomang Tenpa Choepel (1840-1907/1908). Life entrustment rituals for various protectors can be found in the collected works of Rongchen Kirti Lobsang Trinley (1849-1904), including Setrabchen and Dorje Shugden. In particular, as mentioned earlier, there existed a different life entrustment for Dorje Shugden written down by Rinchen Wangyal (1741-1812) of Sera Monastery.
Life entrustment rituals can be found in other traditions as well. This includes the works of Jamgon Kongtrul who has life entrustments connected to Tsiu Marpo (Gnod sbying ya ba rkya bdun), Four Face Mahakala (ye shes mgon po gdong bzhi pa'i srog gtad), and other protectors. Life entrustments can be found to other protectors such as Ekajati and Maning Mahakala.
Some may get the impression that life entrustment initiation is complete surrender to a protector; however, upon examining several initiation rituals, this is certainly not the case. Rather, what is found closely resembles permission initiations (rje gnang) related to yidams. This is case for the Fifth Dalai Lama’s life entrustment initiation for Dorje Barwa Tsel (lha chen rdo rje 'bar ba rtsal gyi srog gtad kyi rje gnang mu thi la'i 'phreng ba bzhugs so: 5DL, vol.22 pages 857-868). This particular initiation includes blessings of aspects of the protector through the medium of a torma. Also, in this initiation these five blessings are followed by a command (bka' bsgo) to the protector to protect the initiate from harm and demons, to perform activities on behalf of the initiate, and to increase the prosperity, merit, and Dharma activities of the initiate.
Initiations in general may entail the initiate abiding by certain commitments (dam tshig) after receiving the initiation. This is a common feature of Vajrayana Buddhism. In some cases, this means daily recitation of a sadhana. With protectors it may entail that monthly fulfillment or torma rituals be observed, which is less time consuming in comparison to a daily sadhana. For example, the life entrustment to the Five Warriors related to Hayagriva by Changlung Pandita states that one should offer tormas (mchod gtor) on a monthly basis.
Von Brück claims that a controversy with the Shugden life entrustment has to do with his ontological status, i.e. whether he is a worldly deity or not. He claims that life entrustment would be appropriate only if Shugden is transworldly and not worldly (CDI, 341). However, such a dispute would have been a long standing issue with the some of the other protectors listed above. In particular, in the conclusion of Thuken Dharmavajra’s life entrustment to the Five Kings we find the statement “Although you are beyond the world you assume a worldly form.” (LCN, vol. 7 page 790). This matches Pabongkha Rinpoche’s ontological view of Shugden, so there is nothing new that Pabongkha Rinpoche introduced that would cause a valid objection to having a life entrustment.
Von Brück also claims that Shugden is not mentioned in a particular Tagphu initiation manual, and because of this it means that Shugden is not from a high class of deities:
In his 'Initiation texts for the practice of the visionary teachings' which he had received from Losang Choekyi Wangchuk (blo bzang chos kyi dbang phyug), there are teachings on Amitayus, Avalokiteshvara, Vajrapani, Tara and the Guru Yoga, and there is no mention of Shugden because the text deals with high Tantric initiations. That Shugden is not mentioned in this context suggests that he considers the deity not among this high class of deities. (CDI, 339).
However, this argument is a complete fallacy on the part of Von Brück because the initiation manual is for 13 visions of an earlier incarnation of Tagphu, Losang Choekyi Wangchuk (1765-1792), and it was a later incarnation of Tagphu, Jampel Tenpai Ngodrup (1876-1935), who was Pabongkha Rinpoche’s master. This initiation manual is specific only to Losang Choekyi Wangchuk’s visions. The later Tagphu incarnation received these initiations of his earlier incarnation and propagated these to Pabongkha Rinpoche. Pabongkha Rinpoche never claimed that the earlier Tagphu—Losang Choekyi Wangchuk—had had a vision of Shugden, rather it was the later Tagphu—Jampel Tenpai Ngodrup—who did so, at the request of Pabongkha Rinpoche. Therefore, the fact that Shugden is not mentioned in the initiation manual is not because of his ontological status, rather Shugden was simply not included in the set of visions of the earlier Tagphu incarnation.
In summary, life entrustment initiation to a protector resembles a subsequent permission initiation (rje gnang) to a yidam, with the exception of self-generation (as protectors are not yidams). It would appear that there is no reason or known historical case to raise the issue of a controversy in relation to life entrustment as von Brück does. We find life entrustments in the Gelug tradition for several centuries. In particular, Nechung is considered ultimately enlightened taking a worldly form, which is the same view of Dorje Shugden posited by Pabongkha Rinpoche, Serkong Dorje Chang and other masters. It is not clear if there was a controversy related to a Nechung life entrustment or not, but it would not be a fair exception to single Dorje Shugden out. Moreover, we find that an earlier eminent master preceding Pabongkha Rinpoche, Serkong Dorje Chang, did raise the subject of Dorje Shugden life entrustment and actually recommended it. It would appear that an issue with life entrustment was raised only due to bias against Pabongkha Rinpoche.

what is this all about? everything this nun says is so vague and new agey. all this stuff about love - oh please. there are so many bookshelves full of these kinds of self help lovey lovey books. give me a break already. this isn't dharma. she doesn't say anything tangible. she just keeps saying you should pray and ask shugden to help you. and love makes the world go round. and we need help and support.

Dear Karla,
This video was uploaded for viewing and many who are aware of NKT's development know what is this video about. As real practitioners of Dorje Shugden, we rejoice because of the people who went for the empowerment and how much they will benefit from His practice. By the way, its only a 4 mins plus video so it is most probably a tiny fraction of the whole empowerment. How can you say judge and have thoughts that you think you know? ;D Genla Dekyong was giving a Dharma teaching so how can it not be Dharma? Dharma have to be tangible? If without Dorje Shugden, Buddhas, Gods and Allah, does this mean all of us can just rely on books on bookshelves? Everyone can still be happy and self helped through books? Praying and asking for help is a way to help us overcome our obstacles so that we are able to practice Dharma and that is why He is called a Dharma Protector. ;D

Thank you for the video Big Uncle. Too bad it was a short one with only pictures. Tried to look for the longer version but couldn't find it, instead I found this by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso giving a Dharma teaching about Dorje Shugden.
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's Talk on Dorje Shugden (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2r2YHNOy3E#)
Genla Dekyong's speech is so gentle and comfortable. Really inviting to hear Her give the short Dharma talk. I am really amazed at the amount of people who attended. The picture that captured my attention was the picture of the little girl. So young and so good karma to be able to have Dorje Shugden in her life at such a young age. May all of us who practice Dorje Shugden continue to benefit many and join together to lift the ban once and for all.
How can a 'cult' be SO HUGE and STILL GROWING? ??? Amazing that people can be narrow minded and create such lies! May they stop having wrong views and wrong perceptions that will create more negative karma.

Dear Big Uncle,
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. It is wonderful to see so many people received Dorje Shugden's practice on that fortunate day... I wish more people will be fortunate enough to receive His practice. I feel so touched watching this short clips of Geshe Dekyong... I love how she delivers the Dharma to the people, so peaceful. It is so befitting for NKT's Manjushri centre to have a resident teacher that have the speech like Manjushri's.
Watching this video reminds me on how fortunate I am to have received Dorje Shugden's practice from my kind Guru. In this degenerated time, not only is it difficult to come across the Dharma, but to have particularly be connected with Dorje Shugden's practice is most precious as His help comes swiftly, no matter terrible our present karma is. My kind Guru have always stressed on how DS is the protector of our time and through His help, we can clear the obstacles to our Dharma practice.
May NKT continue to bring Dorje Shugden's practice to countless of people in this age... we all know we're in dire need of His blessings.
-
It's good to see there's so many people from the west is benefited from NKT, and be able to receive a very powerful Dorje Shugden Empowerment. Genla Dekyong speech is gentle yet very very clearly stating the benefit of practicing Dharma and be compassion and having Dorje Shugden as our Dharma Protector so that He can clear our obstacles in order for us to pursue our path in Dharma. Genla Dekyong delivered Her speech with so much care and compassion and sometimes i wonder why would them accusing us as a Cult and yet we are not the group of people who dragged, spitted, destroyed a statue!!! We are not the group of people who use force, throwing stones into a holy places. We are just a group of people who choose to follow a path which so many High lamas had practiced. How can this be? Cult?
-
Thank you Big Uncle and bambi for sharing the videos. I really enjoyed them both and feel very peaceful after watching it. I used to go to an NKT centre to listen to the resident monk teach dharma, and i feel that the way the monk teaches is quite similar to Genla here... very soothing, patient, and calming. I suppose they are a reflection of their guru Geshe Kelsang Gyatso who is just radiating with kindness and love. It is great to see so many participants feeling happy about the workshop, and engaging in meditation together.
if worshipping a spirit could result in one being so happy, at peace and clam, then that spirit is a REALLY good one. I have not heard of a spirit that brings happiness to others.
May Geshe Kelsang Gyatso live long and well to achieve NKT's goals. We support you!
-
This is so neat, the nun speaks so well, her soft voice represented her kind heart, makes me so wanted go for the empowerment, she is the empowerment, she represented Kadampa & DS so well!
I hope more dharma center will conduct DS empowerment, seeing so many people attended the empowerment and benefited form there, how would Dorje Shugden be evil, as claimed by a few from Dharamsala? These people saying bad things, on what basis and what evidence they have? If they dont have evidence, perhaps they are the one spreading rumours, creating gossip out of jealousy, and they are actually the bad guys?
You have anything to say or defense?
-
This video is very beautiful! My wish is one day I will create the cause for receiving DS empowerment..
I would like though to have more explanations on the empowerment itself and it will be great if we can see the full empowerment video.
-
It's so fortunate to have received the empowerment, rejoice for the participants.
What Gen-la Dekyong said in the video is so real, so close to my heart and feeling, it touched me. Even I just reciting our Dharmapala's mantra only for few months but could feel the power already, it has the emotion stabilizing and encouraging powers.
I am new to the prayers and sadhana, but love especially the Daily Sadhana and Request for Activity of Gyalchen Dorje Shugden Prayer composed by Yongzin Trijiang Rinpoche. What Gen-la Dekyang expressed on the love of Dorje Shugden for all echo with the prayer which says "...the time has come for protect the humble who are without a protector!"
May all have the merits to receive our Dharmapala's blessing and empowerment!

Dear Wisdom Being,
Gen-la is giving a talk in London this weekend. Get there if you can. x
Hi Gomchen!
For benefit of those abroad, like me, what amazing teaching did the compassionate and kind Gen-la Dekyong give over the weekend? Is it up anywhere that we can watch?
I love this short clip of NKT’s Dorje Shugden empowerment. Watching it already gave me such peace and calm in addition to excitement, I cannot imagine how it must've been there personally! It must've been so beautiful. It was the perfect venue and surrounding to an empowerment so significant and precious in one's lifetime. The chilly weather, the green, the beautiful centre, the participants, the shining smiles and Gen-la's gentle, loving and kind demeanour. No doubt it would've been a beautiful weekend.
I would love to have a centre like Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, having vast grounds, serenity, sangha members roaming the grounds.. it's so conducive to one's spiritual practice! I just went onto their website and watched the "video tour", you guys should check it out. Their centre is mouth watering –it looks so well kept and enticing, with so many different facilities to foster different needs.
Also, I like Gen-la’s speech where she mentioned that love is the best method to solve our daily problems, that it is the best method to make us happy and it is the best method to make others happy. I feel that this is because from LOVE comes forgiveness, comes rationality, comes kindness towards others. It is the direct counter towards anger. When you operate from love towards others, whatever limitations you have to what you can or cannot do, what you want or don’t want to do, will dissolve, because all you’d think about is how it will affect the other party if you don’t do it. Our daily problems arises through self-cherishing thoughts, needs, wants and actions, hence love is the best antidote to reducing and ultimately destroying the self-cherishing mind.

This VDO is just the part of empowerment which i think it is well done, very inviting and i feel rejoice after i watch it. I don't think there will be a VDO of the whole day of the empowerment, even i wish.
Of course the first feeling after watching VDO is happy for the continue growing of NKT and rejoice with people there who have merit to receive Dorje Shugden empowerment. They are very fortunate to engage in the sacred practice which will protect them till their last day of life. Despite the discourage of the practice but people still attend the practice with happy face, it shows that people are study and know how they should continue with their spiritual path. Their faith to Dorje Shugen are so strong, i just could not imagine how happy they will be when the ban lift as there will many more people can get benefit from his practice.
May all this empowerment be a cause for the bigger empowerment for many more people in near future.
-
A video so well done I played it a couple of times. I feel so much peace and joy from listening to this video. Gen-La Dekyong spoke with much gentleness and calmness in her voice. At that moment, I prayed for Dorje Shugden to please guide me in my dharma practice. It was so simple yet powerful prayer.
We are so very in need of Dorje Shugden's guidance. Thousands of years ago, thousands can attained arhatship after attending just one teaching from Guru Buddha Shakyamuni. During then, it was "easier" to gain realisation. Why? Because the now are full of deluded minds, distractions with material needs, increased habituations, attachments and negative inflicted emotions. The Buddha himself said that to live as a nun or monk for a day in our era is equivalent to an entire life of an ordained person during his time. It is that difficult to live an ethical life now.
Therefore, the reliance on the ‘Three Roots’ - Guru, Yidam and Protector has become more crucial now than before due to the dark ages, kali yuga. With Dorje Shugden, the possibility of realising Buddhahood is made possible. This brings much positive hope for us and this video radiates that positivity.
-
It is a waste that the video was not of the whole ceremony but thank you nevertheless.
NKT is established in nearly every nation worldwide and their members indeed have the merits to have received the empowerment despite the ban. Gen-la is so patient, knowledgeable, caring and compassionate, speaking in a clear voice. The look on her face tells you that she must have done something good and definitely her practice is not wrong.
May there be more empowerments.
-
Wonderful to have series of Dorje Shugden empowerment around and to have thousands of people throng the venues for this sacred practice. Imagine all those erudite masters whom are practitioner of DS could come out in the open to confer such empowerment everywhere. Just couldn’t wait longer to have the ban be lifted soon. Just couldn’t bear to see all these erudite masters to have to hide and do. Just too suffocating to have them hiding and could not do more for what they should be doing to spread dharma.
We have to do more with passion for the sake of all and the erudite masters to surface. Let’s free them and free ourselves for them.
-
Dear Manjushri,
I was not able to attend.

I enjoyed listening to the Dharma talk. It is very moving, spoken from the heart, with so much faith and conviction in the power of Dorje Shugden. I'm sure Anila spoke from experience. I agree with everything she said, about this powerful practice being the best method to be happy and make others happy. I believe it really works. Dorje Shugden will help us in our Dharma practice and will look after us like a mother or father. I'm very happy for those who received the empowerment that day. They will benefit themselves and others.
-
The words spoke by Gen-la Dekyong, are so true and sincere, her voice so soothing and calming, my mind was so peaceful after watching this video. It’s a shame, that this is the only footage we got. The attendees of this empowerment must have felt really uplifted and blissful :). The few testimonials from the attendees give me much positive feeling about this empowerment ceremony. Gen-la Dekyong beautifully shared teachings on love and how our love and reliance on the love of Dorje Shugden can help us remove obstacles in our daily live and our Dharma practice.
I’ve never been to any empowerment or initiation ceremony; hence do not know anything about the procedures and things that happen during the ceremony. But watching this video and the many happy faces that attended, it must have been a powerful experience. How I hope that I’ll be so fortunate to attend an empowerment ceremony by my own Guru in the near future.
Ohhh… I get goosebumps just by imagining it. ;D
I would like to share with everyone an audio teaching of Gen-la Dekyong I found on youtube. I find it educational, interesting and humorous.
May we stay strong in our practice and may our practice removes our sufferings and benefits all this around us.

When I heard Gen Dekyong speaking, it touched me because I know that she is speaking from her inner core of her heart. No one will know how Dorje Shugden or Je Tsongkhapa have touched us individually. We only know for ourselves how we have been touched and how this blessing has brought us to where we are today.
It is so fortunate for these people in NKT to be able to receive these sets of teachings which definitely originates from an authentic source. Indeed and I have my 1000% faith in Dekyong-la's words, "Dorje Shugden will care for us like no other mother or father have done before!"
I rejoice in the teachings and its flourishing through the work of these wonderful people in NKT
My great respects to you Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Dekyongla and of course Dorje Shugden!!!

Why not get empowerments of paths/methods that bring liberation such as Kalachakra, Vajrakilaya, Avalokitesvara, Tara, Yamantaka. Why an initiation of a spirit. It's kind of strange.
Why not go for the top and practice the top methods. Each of these practices have their special unique dharma protectors as in Vajra Vega for Kalacakra, etc.
Why take initiation of a spirit?
