CTA lost face again, asked to leave conference. Who respect them? Would you ask a USA/UK/Germany/Japan delegates to leave a world-class conference? No, only useless delegates representing useless administration will get booted, and nobody care about it.

Three Tibetan delegates left the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB) conference after China's delegation threatened boycott

Yeosu, South Korea -- Three Tibetan delegates were forced to leave the delegates’ assembly meeting after Chinese officials threatened to boycott the 26th World Fellowship of Buddhist Conference’s delegate’s assembly on June 12th, 2012 claiming that they represent Tibet’s government-in-exile.

Two Tibetans, including a senior envoy of Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, are in Korea to attend the biannual event currently being held in the coastal city. The two are Samdong Rinpoche, a former prime minister of Tibet’s government-in-exile, and Pema Chhinjor, minister of religion and culture.

AFP reports a spokesperson stating that “The WFB secretary-general accepted the Chinese demand that the Tibetans leave so the meeting could go smoothly,” as the spokesperson “...called the decision by the WFB chairman ‘embarrassing.’ ”

The Chinese delegation left for Busan on Wednesday morning in a vehicle provided by the Chinese Embassy, the organizing committee said.

Seventeen delegates from China and the Chairman of the WFB returned to their home countries on early morning of June 14th, 2012 in what was said to be an apparent protest against Tibetan participation.

The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, the main organizers of the the 26th World Fellowship of Buddhist Conference of South Korea, criticized the Chinese delegations’ actions and showed support to the Tibetan delegations.

In a statement released on June 14th, 2012, the Jogye Order criticized the actions of the Chinese delegations stating, “...Tibetan participation is a WFB approved representation, and the Chinese delegation’s apparent protest against Tibetan participation goes against values of what the Buddhist communities across the globe stands for...”

The Jogye Order also states, “Through the World Fellowship of Buddhists Conferences in South Korea, we hope that the Buddhist communities across the globe can once again  recognize Tibetan Buddhism warm heartedly, and we also actively wish for Tibetan Buddhism to be freely practiced in Tibet.”

It is really sad that the Central Tibetan Administration was treated like that. However, I believe this treatment will intensify and not get less. The Chinese will be hell bent in suppressing the CTA especially once the Dalai Lama is not around anymore. If there is going to be a search for the Dalai Lama's incarnation, i believe it will be highjacked by the Chinese and they will turn it into another Panchen Lama situation.

I believe the Tibetans can do little to change the eventual outcome. Their time is coming up real soon, especially once the Dalai Lama leaves, there will be a power vacuum and what little unity they are experiencing right now, will be torn to shreds. The wealthy will abandon the country and seek greener pastures overseas and get assimilated into foreign societies. Those that are left behind will also be assimilated into Indian society.

So what is left? The monasteries will continue to prosper under the support of the remaining Tibetans and foreigners. It would be good if the CTA apologize and make up with Dorje Shugden then and not hold out for worse things that will come their way. It is just too bad.

Oh dear... I cannot imagine what more is install for the CTA after His Holiness passes. The would be totally snuffed out, not included in anything because the do not represent any country/nation. The more they create a separation between Shugdenpas, the more they become a minority and weak.

And while CTA and narrow anti-shugdenpas are doing this, the Shugdenp High Lamas are meeting with more and more foreign officials and well making friends with China. SMART. The CTA should really wake up alreadyand be SMART before it is too late. They can say whatever they want to say and how Shugden Monasteries and High Lamas are being funded by China, but at least they are creating good relations that brings about peace for everyone, and eventually this will help those Tibetans in China. This is also a gateway for Buddhism to spread in China.

I guess the goal of High Lamas is totally different from the CTAs...

High Lama's goal is spreading the Dharma so I guess having said that... it is out of the window for CTA?

What Big Uncle said is true. China will definitely continue their threats and protests, why? Because they can!

I applaud the organiser who "criticized the Chinese delegations actions and showed support to the Tibetan delegations". But their support is nothing, as they too, under pressure, requested Kalon Pema Chhinjor not to attend the conference. In appreciation, they waived Kalon Pema Chhinjor's airfare and participation fee. What else can they do? The Chinese made their point, although it shows the lack of least respect and consideration for the conference. Let's see why.

Over 1,000 delegates from 49 countries took part in the 26th WFB conference in Yeosu in Korea. 2 months ago, The Third World Buddhist Forum opened in Hong Kong, and more than 1,000 Buddhist monks and scholars from over 50 countries and regions attended the forum together with the 11th Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu. I am sure everyone wants to appease China and the World Buddhist Forum will only continue to grow to highlight the Chinese-chosen Panchen Lama as the World Buddhist Forum was organised by *Buddhist Association of China, *China Religious Culture Communication Association, together with the Hong Kong Buddhist Association.

One thing for a fact is that whether we are standing on the side of the Tibetans or on the side of the Chinese, we tend to forget that when it comes to just pure Dharma(that's when you remove the impurities of the politics and all), that's exactly what people want and will just soak in a tub of learning, contemplation and practice. By doing what we do now in hopes for the expansion of Dorje Shugden works and lifting the ban, we look forward to making Dorje Shugden global and all these suppression will just come to an end on its own.

Whether HHDL passes on or HHDL announces the lifting of the ban it does not matter, what matters most is that we need to come together and make this ban well known to the world and educate people the same things as we are doing now.

Precisely Harry Nephew... And I am sure that is what HHDL has planned all along. The survival of Dorje Shugden practice come what may. If the ban had not been brought to light and the Dorje Shugden issue not brought to the attention of the Chinese government, when HHDL enters clear light, like CTA, Dorje Shugden practice may well sink into oblivion!

More and more as time goes by we see the meticulous plan unfold. If HHDL wanted Dorje Shugden practice to continue flourish, what better way than to use the delusions of the Chinese Government and their dislike for HHDL to champion the cause. Very smart marketing... let the opposing party do the work by using oneself as the catalyst!

The pressure from the Chinese Government will indeed increase as long as CTA exists. Because CTA is that nagging torn in side of the Chinese Government. Sooner or later that torn will be removed and if CTA were smart they would get that ban lifted as soon as they can and truly champion the cause of the Tibetan people starting right from "home" by instilling basic human rights. Because in doing so, will make them look like the saviour of Tibetans and they would have more international support!

No one wants to "bash up" free loving people who have ideals... but if CTA cannot even sort out internet issues like the Dorje Shugden ban, sure that says something about CTA to the world. No respect. No integrity! Show the way already CTA, even HHDL has "shown the way" in stepping down... Time to lead!

China wins again @ Milan. Nobody dares to offend China. Please read the news below.

Dalai Lama out of running for Milan honorary citizenship while in Britain

On June 21, the Dalai Lama learned he is no longer going to become an honorary citizen of Milan, Italy, as expected. This news came despite the fact that this citation was in the offing prior to Thursday.
According to a report from "La Repubblica Milano," the rash, reverse decision in this European fashion capital came about for the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader who has already been honored by both Rome and Venice.

Suddenly, the Italian Foreign Ministry and the Chinese ambassador put their heads together and decided to nix the idea. These officials were confronted by angry Tibetan cause supporters who were disturbed about the impending honor being reneged. Before today, the ceremony was to be bestowed upon the Dalai Lama when he reaches Milan next week after visiting Britain.

One reason for the turnabout is reportedly because Milan is currently in talks with China to host a 2015 international exposition. So, certain Milanese leaders think if the honor went on as scheduled then that action would throw off the sensitive discussions.

That said, those in favor of making the 76-year-old monk an honorary citizen of Milan were not happy, to say the least. In fact, Pietro Tatarella, an influential city council member, said, "Today I am ashamed to be a representative of a council and a city that are scared."

However, in light of this move, other Italian towns are stepping up, glad to offer the Dalai Lama honorary citizenship. So, it's likely he will see some movement regarding this situation in the near future, possibly in Matera where the mayor has said his city is ready and willing to defend human rights all over the world and to accept His Holiness into their fold.

Currently, the Dalai Lama is enjoying a week-long tour of the United Kingdom where, yesterday, he met with Prince Charles at Clarence House.
