Silence over Dorje Shugden

It is not unusual that people have such divergent views on the Dorje Shugden issue. I believe that people will find the issue a 'hot' topic and some people will be totally against this practice although so many credible highly attained Lamas have recognized him to be one with Manjushri. Hence, the ban does evoke such powerful feelings in people.

We, Dorje Shugden practitioners are of course not happy with the ban and especially those who put in extra effort to enforce the ban on Dorje Shugden. I don't think we can help it at this time except work harder to promote Dorje Shugden to the world and ensure people know the truth of the matter. All those who have spoken against Dorje Shugden would one day regret and some would even apologize to Dorje Shugden. This was explained by Karche Marpo in trance to Gaden Jangse monks who were unhappy with the ban and requested help and assistance on this matter.

This is very good that we bring up such subjects that are deemed too sensitive on other forums so people will still have an outlet for the truth. Once the ban has been lifted, the world will really know who Dorje Shugden is and more people would enter the Dharma because they gained his powerful assistance. And the only way the ban can be lifted is when the Dalai Lama knows that Dorje Shugden has made it big all over the world

To quote the Dalai Lama.

"This does not mean there is no conflict. So long we human being with sophisticated mind is there, some conflict is always there. So while we are promoting peace, we must promote some non-violence method; that is dialog. Today's world is heavily interconnected. Therefore interest is not clear cut. Therefore the best thing is dialog and compromise. Their interest is also your interest. The destruction of your neighbor is also the destruction of yourself. Understand that reality. Then carry out dialog. Respect other's interest.Respect other's view.Share their interest and then compromise with a spirit of reconciliation. Then we must make every effort to promote dialog."
Yes but why is the Dalai Lama not applying this to the Dorje Shugden issue as well? There has got to be a non violent way of implementing the ban without causing harm to those who insist on practicing Dorje Shugden. Also, the Dalai Lama has consistently refused to discuss about the issue so far. So why is the Dalai Lama not practicing what he preached?

It is therefore very clear that if these forums share the view of the Dalai Lama, they must promote dialog. Only with dialog can we understand other's view and interest. Only with dialog can we have true harmony and avoid destruction of your neighbors and yourselves. Only with dialog can we change our understanding and values. Only with dialog can we rest our fears. Only with dialog can we have true equanimity and altruism.
When there is discussion, there is learning. When there is learning, we can improve our understanding of the subject matter. That is why there are debates in monasteries and all subjects can be debated about and there are no holes barred. The whole objective is to shine light on all subjects and to view them from different perspectives so that we get a very clear overview of the whole thing. When we have a clear overview of things, we learn more and we can understand more perspectives and we know when and where to apply the teachings or what we have learnt.

After all, we are all Buddhist.
And the Buddha encourages inquiry and dialogue.

In trying to appear to be the more politically correct team, these people seem to have lost the whole essence and spirit of what being Buddhist is about: free inquiry and investigations. They lose their Buddhist qualities and values for being politically correct in Buddhism... how Buddhist is that? Where is the Buddhist spirit of enquiry and investigation? This is also another reason why this forum is important: so that there people can express their opinions about Dorje Shugden without being silenced.
