Tibetans were very fortunate to have practised Buddhism when it was introduced from India. Tibetans had preserved Tibetan Buddhism very well until the present day. Pure lineages of the Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyu and Gelug are available to provide authentic paths to liberation from samsara and full enlightenment.
However, the Wheel of Dharma had left Tibet and moved to the West. Though Tibetan Buddhism is still being practised in Tibet, it is slowly experiencing a threat from the other religions. The evangelical activities of the Christians are taking root in Tibet and causing more conversions than before. Chinese had similarly practised Chinese Buddhism for centuries. However, though Chinese Buddhism is still being practised, the other religions had caused many Chinese to embrace Islam, Christianity and so on. It is not that these other religions are bad, it is sad that Tibetans do not treasure the purity, rarity and preciousness of Tibetan Buddhism. Soon Tibetans will lose this wish fulfilling jewel (Tibetan Buddhism) if they were to convert their religious beliefs to other religions in this degenerate age!
