I like the way you have said it, Red Lantern. It is true. If we know the true existence of self, and realise that we control our own minds, any unfortunate event can be seen as fortunate. It is when we want to blame, want to leave the situation to others, want to find fault, or whatever, is when we will feel unfortunate about any situation we are in and start to complain and dwell.
To have a strong and stable mind is key to success in life, because that means in any situation, you are able to get out of it. Dharma gives you a strong and stable mind, when you accept that you are the cause for whatever situations you encounter - so there is no need to blame.
