The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet spends a lot of time helping people around the world reach happiness and enlightenment. He enumerates 19 life lessons that we all should follow. Some of them are “Don’t let a little dispute injure a great relationship;” “When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it;” and “Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.”

What if the Dalai Lama is also relying on these principles, but misinterpreting some of them? What if He thinks He has succeeded by suppressing the Dorje Shugen practitioners to get the public and world’s attention? Or what if He is not just following them at all? The little dispute over the religion has injured a great relationship of the Dalai Lama with the Dorje Shugden practitioners. One never knows what kind of skills or potentials these practitioners have outside of the differences in religion. Now that the public knows what the Dalai Lama has done to them, his relationship with world people will not be as great as before when they did not know anything about the incident. Moreover, I don’t even know if the Dalai Lama realizes that He has made a mistake, but if He does, He needs to take immediate steps to correct it because more and more people will know the damaging fact about His conduct. And it will be too late for Him to correct it when everyone doesn’t look up to Him.
