Letter from TYC
« on: November 28, 2014, 05:36:51 PM »

I find that this letter by the TYC is very insulting to assume that only that the people who do not rely on Dorje Shudgen do not have right to have a youth association. Furthermore what has the TYC in their years of struggle?

With US President Barrack Obama already officially recognizing Tibet as part of China, and with the likelihood of the other Western countries following suit, it is amazing to see that the TYC is still struggling to uphold a lost cause. If TYC truly cares about the future of Tibetans in Tibet and everywhere in the world, shouldn't they really take a hard look at the real situation with Tibetans in Tibet. Instead of clinging on to a past where, a country was lost, letting go, and seeing that the culture and religion of Tibet can still be preserved, although in a different political climate, is surely the best way going forward.

Hence, going after DS groups, who are fighting for the ban on Shugden practice to be lifted , is wasting time and effort, which should be used more constructively. The ban divided Tibetans not the protests against the ban.

Agreed. I just cannot understand. TYC & DSTYC are two different names and entity. Why did TYC need to make such statement?
As a Tibetan Youth, they should look into the welfare, cultural, education and youth development, building a leader for the society, unbiased and not involve in politics.
Why do they still cling on the “Free Tibet” or the ban? After all, they should look into how to unite the youth and develop them with positive values.
