As we know there are 4 main schools in Tibetan Buddhism each having their own head. Panchen Lama belongs to the Gelug school. If he becomes the new 'Tibetan Buddhism's patriotic leader' wouldn't we go back to square one where the head of one school dominating over other schools?
Agreed with what fruven has said. If Panchen Lama is to really head all schools, wouldn't there be another conflict again?
Personally I think that what is going on does not make sense at all. Simple reason, if even within the Gelug lineage cannot be gelled as one, what for aim to gel all four Tibetan Buddhism schools together? Till the ban on Dorje Shugden is lifted, even with H.H Dalai Lama making friends and having peace with other religions is pointless. Simple reason, if within his own boundary, He is not able to manage well, what for expend that area?
