In Melodius Drum Victorious in All Directions, the extensive Dorje Shugden kangso, following the Praise to Manjushri and Ganden Lhagyema, the practitioner does the self-generation practice of either Heruka 5-Deity, or Yamantaka (Vajrabhairava). HERUKA 5-DEITY resource
The only commentary on Heruka 5-Deity I've ever read, besides a transcript (unavailable to the public), is the book Source of Supreme Bliss, available from Dechen Ling Press. This is an excellent commentary on the generation stage by Ngulchu Dharmabhadra, and an excellent commentary on the 5 Stages of Heruka Completion Stage of Master Ghantapa by Panchen Losang Chokyi Gyaltsen.
