President and Trump are working things out after some turbulent period since their first meeting at Mar-a-lago. The request for Trump to do something about the “suppression” of Tibetan Buddhism by China - as stated in this article: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/us-should-take-up-tibetan-buddhism-suppression-with-china/1/1049257.html is not going to be entertained anytime soon. In fact, China has shown greater interest to promote Tibetan Buddhism than Trump had ever shown in his lifetime.

*China says 'good preparations' should be made for Trump's visit*

BEIJING (Reuters) - “Good preparations” should be made by China and the United States to ensure that U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to China later this year is a success, Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi told U.S. Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump will likely visit China in November as part of a trip that will take him to an ASEAN summit in the Philippines and an APEC summit in Vietnam.

The two sides should make good preparations for the visit to ensure its success so that “concrete achievements can be obtained and conditions can be created for good prospects, giving fresh impetus to bilateral ties,” Wang said, according to the official Xinhua news agency on Thursday.

Close communications between Xi and Trump have meant a “smooth transition” and a “good start” in China’s relationship with the United States under the new administration, he said.

A “stable and healthy” relationship between the two countries is good for both countries and the international community, Wang told Pence on the sidelines of the annual general debate of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

China’s relationship with the United States has been strained by the Trump administration’s criticism of China’s trade practices and by demands that Beijing do more to pressure North Korea to halt its nuclear weapons and missiles programs.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Trump met for the first time in person at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida in April. Trump has since played up his personal relationship with Xi, even when criticizing China over North Korea and trade.

The two sides launched a 100-day economic plan at that meeting, including some industry-specific announcements such as the resumption of American beef sales in China.

There has since been limited progress on trade relations, especially after Trump began to launch trade investigations into Chinese practices via the World Trade Organization.

Trump’s administration has also repeatedly called on China to do more to rein in North Korea and has threatened new sanctions on Chinese banks and other firms doing business with Pyongyang.

China says it is already doing all it can to pressure North Korea and that those countries directly involved in the stand-off on the peninsula should take responsibility for resolving tensions.

Not surprising. Maybe that was really the reason why US stop funding CTA these days because Trump wants to make friends with China. Interesting. CTA receiving another major blow to their existence.

Trump is a businessman first and a politician second.

Yes Trump inherited some wars and conflicts, from previous presidencies, but he rather make love than make war. In that aspect Xi jin Ping has the goods on Trump. President Xi is a man who is willing to go the extra mile to achieve his goals and the goals of China as a dominant superpower. 

Fighting wars may impress American's allies in Europe but I do think many Americans are weary of war, American involvement directly and indirectly into so many conflicts around the world, has brought on 'invisible' enemies that can blend into the American heartland. Perhaps for the good of the world, Americans is suffering from 'conflict' fatigue, after non stop intervention and getting involved in wars almost non stop after world war 2. American strategic policies have brought on more sleepless nights, than prosperity, so a change in American policy would be a great welcome.

Definitely CTA has reason to fear this growing friendship between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping. CTA faced a drastic cut in sponsorships from USA since President Donald's ascension. CTA has nothing to offer whilst China offers ludicrous trade agreements and bilateral political alliances. When will CTA make any wise decisions that will bring benefit to their people instead of using them for monetary benefits.

Another reason for CTA to see the uselessness of them continuing with tarnishing China. With the growing trend of tolerance towards China by the world at large, now including USA, a major powerhouse, CTA really should stop antagonising China which actually jeopardise efforts on furthering the Tibetan cause.

Any success or progress with the Tibetan cause require China’s cooperation so CTA should instead work on improving the lack of trust to atbring China back to the negotiation table. That is if CTA really intends to keep their promise to Tibetans about the Tibetan cause.

Sadly, looking at their actions, CTA would just likely continue in their usual way to bad mouth China to get sympathy for more donations and get as much as they can before their time is up. If only Tibetans would demand more out of CTA and hold CTA accountable for their actions (or failures for that matter).

Whatever temporary 'aberrations' may occur  over North Korea, China and US are set to go into a roaring relationship moving forward.The Tibetan leadership  should take the cue from this, as other countries are  moving into active engagement with China, recognising it as the superpower that it is.Best way to go forward is to re-initiate negotiations with China for Tibet's autonomy.

Everyone in the world wants to be friend with China as China is growing to be bigger and stronger in many aspects such as economy, social and become one of the powerful countries in the world. We can see so many examples such as USA government does not want to pay for Tibetans anymore, Australia do not plan to meet with His Holiness Dalai Lama, Switzerland and Butan rejecting Tibetans, etc etc.

Wake up CTA! Please do not abuse others sympathy for your own gain and power. Think about your people! Find ways to be friend to China so that Tibetans can go back to China and be united.

I am not sure of this the real reason why US stopped paying CTA anymore money. Maybe they see CTA existence is irrelevant anymore and they don't want to anger China by continuing supporting the corrupted CTA.

The two major economic superpower, are now starting to work together on a variety of issues and collaboration.

America used to play the Tibetan card on China, it is less willing to do so now.

I also think Americans are less willing to bleed for the companies and corporations of America, and the war nothing to do with ending tyranny. Not many wars after WW2 are to end tyranny. Nowadays wars have much business interests tied in and commercial benefit. While one profits from war, others pay it with their lives and blood.

CTA has just lost its biggest supporter of the past, with America engaging Chinaat a game that could potentially benefit the population of both countries.

Trump may not be of a very savory character, but he always has the financial bottomline in mind. Anything that will help his company make money and make him look good in the process will be very welcomed to him. In this case, he has a lot to gain to side with China. The CTA is nothing but a bleed on his resource now. Doubt he will stand by quietly and continue to fund them.
