The North and South Korean Leader Historic Meeting
« on: April 29, 2018, 12:40:30 AM »
Yesterday, the relatively young leader of North Korea, Chairman Kim Jong Un crossed the border and stepped his foot on North Korea. And with the spirit of friendship and goodwill, he also asked President Moon to step foot briefly on the North Korean soil.

His action, although simple had a great symbolic meaning. He is the first leader of North Korea in decades who is willing to open up to the superpower and played his diplomatic role skillfully and with grace. I hope he will be the beacon of light to the people of North Korea and continue to bring the spirit of peace and harmony to the people around the world.

What Chairman Kim and President Moon showed yesterday was an example that everything is possible and it brings a new light of hope that the Dalai Lama too will follow Chairman Kim's and President Moon's footsteps to unite the Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners.

We do not want conflict. We only want peace and harmony and the freedom to do the practice that our teacher gave to us.

The historic meeting between the North and South Korea leaders brought about a new light towards world peace - the closing of a nuclear test site. It also brings the two leaders closer and hopefully more collaborations in the very near future that benefit the whole Korea, and the world eventually. No one thought that this 73 years separation will be resolved but nothing is impossible. Comparing with this, the Dorje Shugden matter is only 20 years old, so it would be much easier for it to be resolved. For us who are respectful of His Holiness, the longing for unity between the Shugden & non-Shugden people is unbearable. The segregation has been too long. We love His Holiness and miss him very much.

Well, this sure spark some new HOPE and shows that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! This means the Dorje Shugden ban can reversed and PEACE can be restored within the Tibetan community again. Before this ban happened everything was fine and everyone got along well. Tibetans were then respectful of each other even though each school had their own protector practices! Each to their own and everyone just got along which is exactly how it should be, in the spirit of true Buddhist practice.

So seeing this news about North & South Korea, they aint exactly spiritual leaders or a religious but these to political leaders can find a way to resolve their issues and make peace, surely the holy Buddha of Compassion the Dalai Lama can do so as well in the very near future!

The meeting of the North and South Korean leaders is indeed a very historical one. Korea became two countries due to the difference in political stance. They have not had any dialogue or meeting for many years. But now, they finally met up.

Dorje Shugden ban was imposed 20 years ago due to the difference in religious belief. The pro-Shugden and anti-Shugden people don't talk to each other. Even though pro-Shugden people have expressed many times for a dialogue with anti-Shugden people but the request was not taken seriously.

If North and South Korean leaders can meet up to talk about their differences and perhaps try to find a common ground so both can become amicable, why not the anti and pro-Shugden people? Peace and unity is very important if the Tibetan leaders want the free Tibet movement to be a success. I hope this will happen soon.

If the North and South Korean leaders can meet up to have a dialogue, why not the CTA and Dorje Shugden followers? After all, Shugden or non-Shugden believers, they are all Tibetans. It is time to put what Buddha Shakyamuni's teaching in practice, be tolerant and respectful to people who are different from us.

Until today, the Tibetan leadership still has not solved any of the major disputes within the Tibetan community. In fact, they are the one who created them. For examples, Dorje Shugden ban and the two Karmapa disputes. None of the two Karmapas is allowed to go back to Karmapa's monastery in Rumtek. Not only that, it confuses the followers as well, they don't know which one to follow.

Dorje Shugden ban has destroyed many families, broken the relationships between friends and teachers and students. There is no benefit from imposing the ban, it causes disunity and disharmony within the Tibetan community. Disunity and disharmony are the real reason why free Tibet movement is not successful after so many years.

The Dorje Shugden ban can be solve easily if the CTA wishes to. However, CTA has been complicating things on Dorje Shugden practice and made it a taboo for everyone. On top of that, His Holiness the Dalai Lama supports the ban and spoke outwardly about it. This makes everything worst.

If only His Holiness the Dalai Lama willing to meet with the leaders of Dorje Shugden practice and reconcile the differences peacefully, there will be no ban. Even leaders of two very different countries that have been enemies for years can come together peacefully, I am sure that we can do that too with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

CTA always said that they wanted to protect Tibet and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. If the ban continues, more Tibetans will have to suffer and the community will not be able to progress. Dorje Shugden and non-Dorje Shugden practitioners will be fighting with each other day and night and nothing will get done. Tibetans will forever be a refugee in India and suffer poverty generation after generations.

If anyone asks why the Tibetans are still not progressing, this is the reason why they refuse to move on. They know very well that China is getting stronger and more powerful every day, instead of fighting against China, they should cooperate with them. Many countries that are friendly with China have benefitted in some way or another.

The Tibetan leaders have their own agenda for going against China. If the Tibet issue is not resolved, they can continue to get free money from their sponsors. They use the issue to victimise themselves to get more financial support.

Even though the Tibetan leaders act like they are fighting to free Tibet but they are not. After 60 years of struggles, they don't spend time to really look into why, they put the blame on Dorje Shugden. They distract people from scrutinise their failure by creating many issues within the Tibetan community including the two Karmapas issue.
