Another Buddhist site being preserved by the Chinese government! It is good to know that the Chinese government values the Buddhist heritage. Perhaps what they see is the historical value but not the religious value. Whatever it is, it is still very beneficial to the Buddhists.
As China is getting more powerful and wealthier, their budget to preserve the Buddhist culture also increases. The Chinese government doesn't neglect religion. They understand that religion is needed to impart value such as kindness, generosity, harmony, respect, and tolerance. If they are opposed to religions, they would have forbidden completely the practice of any religion at all.
The Chinese government gives religious freedom to its people. As long as the religion promotes good values and help to unite the people, the Chinese government will give their support. The Chinese government will not tolerate when people use religion to create disharmony and unrest in the society.
