Dalai Lama to run for seat on CTA in 2020 election?

It would appear that the 14th Dalai Lama may be seeking a seat on the CTA in their 2020 election.

2020 Election Even More Crowded as Dalai Lama Announces Exploratory Committee.

The Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader says he would run as an “interdependent” candidate.

By TricycleAPR 01, 2019

With 16 Democratic candidates competing in the 2020 presidential primary and more expected to announce, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama shocked political observers on Monday when he revealed that he has set up a committee to explore the possibility of joining the race.

“People say that the Dalai Lama, he cannot be president,” the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” “but if you stop and reflect more deeply—with a clear, discerning mind—then you will see that US politics is all very unusual, and so, yes, a Dalai Lama president is not that much weirder.”

Rejecting the “dualism” of the two party system, the Dalai Lama said he would run as an “interdependent” candidate on a platform of “ending all suffering.”

This is not good because is best Dalai Lama just focuses on spiritual instead of political. Best not to mixed between spiritual and politic. Once these two mixes, we will only see how spiritual being use for politic matters. Keep these two separated from single-person management is good. Each individual can focus on their area and no one can take advantage of each other area.

We cannot allow people to use religion to control people. This is what happens to CTA and that's why Tibetans in India never succeed in anything but just created more and more suffering to their own people. Tibetan should take this election seriously and really work it out for a change.

If the Dalai Lama does run and wins a seat in the CTA what will happen next.

Well the CTA could vote to make him the new President of the CTA.

The Dalai Lama is losing his grip of power over the Tibetans.

The Karmapa has turned his back on the Dalai Lama and his CTA.

It appears he needs an new job with new powers.

All hail the new president of the CTA, the 14th Dalai Lama.

If the Dalai Lama should win the seat in CTA, then there is a great possibility that the Tibetans in exile may integrate back into Tibet under the autonomous rule of China. The Dalai Lama had long expressed his wish to return to Tibet and Lobsang Sangay has used every method to defy the Dalai Lama's wish. In his public statements, he had always put China on the guard with his disparage and verbal attack. Totally opposite of what the Dalai Lama wishes. So to be at the helm of CTA, the Dalai Lama will be in control of the direction of their policies towards China and eventually open the access for them to return. Definitely an interesting contest to watch.

Dalai Lama running for the seat may also show that he's not happy with the current CTA. He would like to manage it back or even appoint new leaders to help him. I hope to new management for the Tibetan that really able to make a difference and not corrupted. Tibetan has been laid back for the longest time and it is time to stand up and work out for their future. It is time to show Tibet is really democracy now.

The Dalai Lama is a "Dictator" and a "Thug".

What great changes do you think he will engage in?

None.

He now wants total control of the CTA to silence any opposition there that still exists against him and HIS CTA.

Does this Buddha of Compassion still have a BAN against the followers of Dorje Shugden???

YES!!!

What do people with power want??

More power.
