Praises to Khache Marpo (kha che dmar po) by the Fifth Dalai Lama:


Riding on a saddled precious horse
Having the power of the wind,
Traversing the universe in an instant,
Praise to Yaksha Khache Marpo, the doctrine's watchman.

Furious mighty being biting the lower lip,
Three eyes blazing the sun and moon watching enemies,
Emanating messengers taking the life of false guides,
Praise to the liberator of the ten enemies.

Wearing leather armor, banners, colored garb and
Leather helmet with a victory banner, treasury of 9 good signs,
Tying enemies with a lasso, piercing their hearts with a lance,
Praise to you and your retinue.

These praises are taken from a ritual to Khache Marpo written by the Fifth Dalai Lama (5DL, Volume Da folios 147r-148r). According to the colophon Khache Marpo requested the Fifth Dalai Lama to write this ritual. Khache Marpo is most commonly known as Dorje Shugden's minister (ODT, 143).

Trode Khangsar is Dorje Shugden's Ashokan Pillar, according to the White Conch Dictionary it was established by the Fifth Dalai Lama himself. Management of Trode Khangsar was entrusted to Riwo Choling monastery, a Gelug monastery in Lhoka. On the same lot of Trode Khangsar was a small shrine called Monkyi Khangsar (smon skyid khang gsar) where Khache Marpo was invoked via oracle (WCD, 1312).

I read that Khache Marpo is actually one with Hayagriva and hence enlightened and a Dharma Protector in his own right. He must have willing bound himself to Dorje Shugden in order to assist him in his great work to benefit struggling practitioners of our world. I read from another of Thom's posts that Khache Marpo is 'stirred' by what is happening. Perhaps it would be good to solicit him to move Dorje Shugden's practice quicker and faster in the world. The great king Dorje Shugden himself is too humble and modest to promote himself I guess.

Yes this is truly HISTORY in the making! What a phenomena... the billions of Chinese Dorje Shugden practitioners will definitely affect the world. Soon we'll hear of Dorje Shugden chapels everywhere across the globe, and Lamas can give Dorje Shugden teachings in public in big arenas. I wonder how the Tibetans are going to react then? They keep saying DS will harm them and their cause, I guess in a way it will if they go on thinking this way, unfortunately.

I also love the fact that the 32 deities in Dorje Shugden's mandala are all emanations of the great protector himself - they are all worthy objects of refuge in themselves. DS entire Mandala is so highly blessed and enlightened. I especially love that above him, Setrap and Amitabha also reside. And Dorje Shugden & entourage all abide under Tsongkhapa's throne in Tushita itself. His place of abode, his own nature and the nature of his entourage arise out of the Enlightened mind - what more perfect being to take refuge in!

I know this thread is old but I finally found the connection between Ts'u Marpo and Khache Marpo and it is in the biography of the 5th Dalai Lama on this website... http://dorjeshugden.com/wp/?p=3290 Do check it out.

The Fifth Dalai Lama’s collected works also contains a short propitiation to the Yaksha Khache Marpo, in volume Da folios 147a5-149a5, written at his request. The description of Khache Marpo closely matches the attendant deity found in Dorje Shugden rituals. Also, this writing mentions Tsi’u Marpo, the Seven Blazing Brothers, etc.; therefore, Khache Marpo is most likely an individual form derived from the Tsi’u Marpo pantheon.
