Mysterious white conch-shell in Dungkar Monastery
« on: January 20, 2012, 09:51:57 PM »
Dungkar Monstery (in Tibetan means white conch-shell monastery) is Domo Geshe Rinpoche's monastery, it was destroyed but was rebuilt again last year by the local people. When the construction plan was going on, suddenly a swarm of bees appeared on the site, the people found it annoying and planned of get rid of the beehive on the day of reconstruction itself, or else the work could not begin. However, on the day of reconstruction itself, suddenly all the bees were gone, and what what was left behind was a white color beehive, and it looked just like a WHITE CONCH-SHELL.

Heya Namdrol,

Thank you for sharing this pic. The Tibetans believe that when bees come in swarms and builts a nest in the Lama's Ladrang or monastery, it is a sign that many people will come to assist in fulfilling the Lama's wishes and works. Bees are considered constructive and productive beings, they represent skillful and productive people whom will come assist in the propagation of the Dharma.

How wonderful when they left they left an auspicious mark of the Dungkar. It is another confirmation of what has been foretold would come true.

Dungkar Monastery is located at Chumbi Valley in Tibet.  It was here that the 14th Dalai Lama composed "MELODY OF THE UNCEASING VAJRA". It was also the Oracle from Dungkar Monastery who took trance of DS who confirmed Lama Zopa Rinpoche as a tulku.  How interesting Dungkar Monastery played a significant role in these events.  Now that the new incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche is back, there could be more important events arising from Dungkar Monastery.  Could these be signs of the appearance of the white conch-shell in Dongkar Monastery?

It is really auspicious for bees to come and build their hive. What more that they left behind a conch shell like hive. just like Harry Nephew said this is a sign of many people coming to help. It is also a sign that there will be growth in the place. This is very auspicious. Not only the Tibetan believe this, many other cultures also believe, like the Indians and and the Muslims.

The Conch Shell in Vajrayana Buddhism is a symbol which fearlessly proclaimed the truth of the dharma. Among the eight symbols, it stands for the fame of the Buddha's teaching, which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.

Since it is Dongkar Monastery, we can also take it that there will be growth in Dorje Shugden practice. Rejoice to hear this piece of news. Thank you for sharing the beautiful picture.

More and more signs that were doing the right thing, no matter what the naysayers will believe. I hope Rinpoches monastery comes up with more auspicious signs. Itll really give faith and hope to all the people who are facing hardships because of the ban. May Dungkar Monastery become as great as Gaden where another famous white conch was found ;)

Thanks for this wonderful news Namdrol, it was a shining light for me on this dreary Saturday.

Dear Namdrol

Thanks for the picture. Is the conch shell left by the bees still preserved in the monastery? The attained beings do not need "miracles" of such but it appears as signs of auspiciousness for us all to see and rejoice.

May there be unending auspiciousness surrounding the works of compassionate beings.

It is not so mysterious if you know the significance of the conch shell with Lama Tsongkhapa and the first Dromo Geshe Rinpoche. Lama Tsongkhapa dreamt of a conch shell falling into his lap and having unearthed a conch shell during the construction of Gaden Monastery.

The first Dromo Geshe Rinpoche's monastery is called Dungkar monastery. Hence, there's a lot of significance of the conch shell associated with this line of incarnation. It is beautiful that the Protectors of our lineage (Dorje Shugden) have manifested very clear indications to herald the coming this living incarnation of Manjushri.

Amazing photos to proof unmistakenable signs. Signs like these instills faith and trust in our unattained minds and corresponds with our ability to believe what's infront of our eyes is true. Its like how when highly attained beings whose life will be very beneficial to sentient beings are born into this world, there will be many mysterious occurences and signs given, for instant the dreams that the mother would have. Also, it is akin to when Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen was murdered and the people experienced extreme weather conditions before the composition of praise from the 5th Dalai Lama as shown in the illustrated story on the home page. Therefore signs like the beehive which is shaped into a conchshell and all the others here is definitely possible, the only limitation lies within our own minds. May the current incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche excel in his monastic education in Shar Gaden and continue to show signs of his highly attained state in spreading the doctrine of Lama Tsongkhapa far and wide; as symbolised by a conch shell.

Big Uncle, what's the significance of the conch shell that is associated with this line of incarnation? What's the story between the conch shell, Lama Tsongkhapa and the first Domo Geshe Rinpoche?

It is indeed not so mysterious or strange to have such miraculous phenomenon happening around such attained masters. In fact it should be the "norm" or at least expected.

But what is incredible are the signs that manifest and the significance of the signs that gives us clear indications and clues which I think are rather cool (for lack of better word!)

The significance of the white conch-shell (as pointed out by Big Uncle) is no coincidence I am sure. How incredibly fortunate we are to have such a remarkable being back in our presence. May we have the good karma and fortune to gaze upon the countenance of such beings life after life.

This incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche was found by HH the current Trijang Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden via his oracle. Confirmed by both the lama and protector as the unmistaken incarnation. I am not surprised these auspicious signs appear around him.

I really have great faith in Domo Geshe and tremendous hopes.

Yes, the amazing appearance of the white conch-shell at the construction site of the new Dungkar Monastery being rebuilt is truly very auspicious indeed. It testifies to the amazing 'connection' between the current incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche and the current incarnation of Trijang Rinpoche, and Dorje Shugden, who  recognized the young Domo Geshe Rinpoche as the unmistaken incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche.

The conch shell was also an auspicious sign that appeared when the Dungkar Monastery was built by the first Domo Geshe Rinpoche. The conch shell may well be the reason why it was named Dungkar Monastery. The following lines are quoted from the write up on the biography of the first Domo Geshe Rinpoche(from this website): " With a white conch manifestation just below the monastery, and another one from which issued the sound of a conch when blown into, Dungkar Gonpo has borne that name since 1662".

When high lamas and their students are accomplishing deeds that will bring great benefits to others, auspicious signs eg. rainbow, bees, bodhi tree growing out of concrete floor ,etc. will manifest.

Sceptics may say that these are purely coincidences . However, I have witnessed  so many auspicious signs around masters whose only goal in life is to benefit others to dismiss such signs as coincidences.

If we are scared of ghosts and spirits, why do we not believe in the existence of holy beings ?

If we believe in the Dharma, the six realms, the Lamrim, we will believe there are many holy enlightened beings besides Buddha Shakyamuni , who are constantly helping us along the path, giving encouragements wherever virtuous deeds are performed.

May Domo Geshe bring immense benefits to beings in the ten directions and 6 realms.

More MIRACLES around Domo Geshe Rinpoche!

The manifestations of such miracles or auspicious signs represent that this Domo Geshe is the real incarnation, as he is the reincarnation of Mogalanna, which is one of the Buddha's chief disciples who was famous for his psychic powers. This confirms it as no other tulku when recognized could manifest so much auspicious signs. Also, it could be a sign that Domo Geshe will really benefit a huge number of beings.

These signs help to reaffirm the disciples faith and also to reaffirm what has been described in the Buddhist text on the manifesting of a great being, that those are not superstitions but it is something that can really happen. During our time, there are less and less of more such signs as there are very little masters around who exhibit such signs, so to see such signs is incredible indeed.

Skeptics exist because they are too afraid to be wrong. They are too afraid to have their own projections and preconceptions of the world and everything challenged. So they go around disproving others os that they will appear correct. They direct their own shortcomings on others so that nobody will pay attention to their own shortcomings and fallacies. It is a kind of drawing attention away from their weaknesses so that people dont realize.

In the end, people will realize what they are and they will lose the respect that they get. Also, in the long run they lose out as they are stuck with their own way of thinking and are unable to move from that when a better and more positive view comes along their way. So they remain and become bitter individuals who have achieved nothing. Lets hope nobody ends up this way.

Wow! when you see or hear these occurrences over and over again, it makes you believe the existence of such signs are really real and its no joke! It only appears to highly blessed enlightened individuals who are going to be benefiting sentient beings! It is such great sign that such auspicious signs appear on Kyabje Domo Geshe Rinpoche's current reincarnation which authenticated which will make Kyabje Domo Geshe Rinpoche's more well known and his work to promote Dorje Shugden easier(?)
