Eventually, people will find out that they are bogus monks as people will learn. Monks are not allowed to handle money or keep money with them or ask for alms after noon. This is in the vinaya rules that the Buddha has laid down 2500 years ago and is common to all forms of Buddhism. When people find out about this deception, i doubt that they will take this calmly at all. The authorities must definitely work harder to stoping this.

The presence of bogus monks tarnished the image of Buddhism. It is sad that some people will go to all extend to take advantage of the public's generosity. It is very difficult to differentiate the bogus and the fully ordained monks. In order to curb this, it is advisable to make donations directly to the temples instead of offering to the monks. In this way, if the public play their part in not making offerings to them, then the problems can be solve.
