um, that's because the Dalai Lama announced who the Panchen Lama was and where he lived!  :o

ooops!

Perhaps that was 'Nechung's' idea?  ;D  He's full of great ideas!

Nechung definitely was the one who advised HHDL to announce the incarnation and whereabouts of Panchen Lama's reincarnation.

After HHDL announced, Panchen Lama was arrested and never heard from again.

Why is the Tibetan Govt in exile silent on this matter?
Why is Nechung silent on this matter?

Keeping quiet does not make the mistake go away.

Panchen Lama's incarnation is one of the most important incarnations in Tibet, actually the 2nd after HHDL. So shouldn't the exiled Tibetan Govt do something about this?
