DHARAMSHALA/GAYA, JAN 8: The Tibetan Prime Minister (Sikyong) Dr. Lobsang Sangay today in a rebuttal to China’s denial of pressuring Tibetans from Tibet to attend the Kalachakra called Beijing’s claim an ‘exaggeration’.

“It is a fact that those who are here for pilgrimage with legal permits and documents from the Chinese authorities have been directed to return and failure to do so would result in severe consequences,” the PM Sangay said at a press conference in Bodh Gaya.

Here goes Sikyong Sangay slapping China all over again and meddling in religious affairs. His political survival strategy has not changed at all and because of this, Tibetans are to expect more of the same results with regards to their demand for Tibetan autonomy - none, zilch, nada, zero, zip. Tibetans please read on.

Let's dissect the situation.

First of all, get it straight, Sikyong Sangay is the Prime Minister and politician. Harvard Law graduate not Geshe-la, not monk.

His Holiness Dalai Lama is the religious leader, emanation of Boddhisattva Chenrezig, and has explicitly dropped his political role since 2011.

The Kalachakra initiations and teachings are a religious affair just like the pilgrimage which the Tibetan Chinese were on, as reported in the above news article. Tibetans were given legal permits and documents from the Chinese authorities to carry out their pilgrimage to the holiest place in the Buddhist world - Bodhgaya. Read that again, yes, the Tibetan Chinese were given permits and documents from the Chinese authorities to carry out a religious pilgrimage to Bodhgaya. Hooray! Rejoice! Good on you China!

Now if His Holiness Dalai Lama were to be only linked to spiritual leadership and practice as many other religious leaders are, do you think China would have advised these pilgrims not to attend the Kalachakra teachings and initiations? No. Why? Because it would be seen as a 100% genuine religious event.

But who continues to time and time again politically-link His Holiness to be an anti-Chinese crusader? Sikyong Sangay and gang of course. How? Dorje Shugden.

Sikyong Sangay and gang has turned what is religious advice from His Holiness Dalai Lama into internal and external religious discrimination and tainted the sanctity of the position of the Dalai Lama by calling all Dorje Shugden practitioners Chinese spies, Chinese funded anti-Tibetan traitors, and more.

Sikyong Sangay and gang are the ones who continuously label His Holiness Dalai Lama as anti-Chinese by taking His Holiness' religious advice on Dorje Shugden to become "ban the Chinese sympathizers".

Sikyong Sangay and gang are the ones who deliberately and falsely paint devoted spiritual practitioners who have no other agenda than to practise, teach and spread what the Lord Buddha Shakyamuni has taught us fortunate beings, as Chinese "dogs".

Tibetans, it is time to make a stand on the separation of religion and state.

Only His Holiness Dalai Lama and only him, should have the authority over general religious affairs of the Tibetans and His Holiness has clearly stated recently that there is nothing wrong in practicing Dorje Shugden.

Tell your politicians to take their hands out of commenting on religious affairs and stop spreading lies about Dorje Shugden practitioners.

Only then can the talks over Tibetan autonomy commence.

Lobsang Sangay is not a "Prime Minister". He walks around with this "Made Up" title. He is the "Prime Minister" of NOTHING. This is an "Unofficial" title for a non existent government that is recognized by not one single government in the world.

The Sikyong was appointed by the Dalai Lama but has no country to rule, and no real government to aid him. He has no recognition from the world leaders which is why the Dalai Lama still has to go and meet the world leaders, and unfortunately as happened in the White House meeting, have to leave by the back door. Can the Sikyong step up and let the Dalai Lama concentrate on teaching the dharma?

Lobsang Sangay is going around talking bad unskillfully and undiplomatic-ally, out to'bait and bite' China. He's even attributing the climate to China's invasion of Tibet. He's condemning that China is pressuring Tibetans to attend Kalachakra initiation in China. Why is the CTA pressuring the Tibetans to abandon the practice of Dorje Shugden?

Can Sikyong Lobsang Sangay talk real politics and governance rather than meddle in spiritual matters? Why mix church and state?

Well, ain't it awkwardly obvious that the Sikyong is successful at jeopardizing his chance of ever returning to Tibet. Or would he even want to step on Tibet soil at all? Too bad for the rest of the patriotic Tibetans in exile who have placed all their high hopes on the CTA lead by Lobsang Sangay to work out their path back to their beloved motherland. It is plain to see that all of the words and actions of the CTA would only bring them further away from Tibet. Please do not put the blame on Dorje Shugden anymore.

After reading the post by Ringo Starr and other comments, the thought of "rabid dog" seem to come to mind when describing CTA and Sikyong Lobsang Sangay's actions. No longer having the controlled direction and just biting due to confusion and fear.

A stateless Prime Minister with such a prestigious education, Sikyong Lobsang Sangay should have used his position to strengthen the negotiation power of CTA with China, given the support of Western countries back then. Instead his reliance on the popularity of the Dalai Lama and the ludicrous sponsorship monies received, CTA had grew comfortable and remained insignificant. Inciting the hatred for Protector Dorje Shugden and his practitioners, Sikyong had used the ban initiated to distract his people, Tibetans in Exile from the fact that they are still stuck in India as refugees and living on charities without much future. Most of the monies were spent on propaganda activities and materials against China and Dorje Shugden. The people had no trouble with the Dorje Shugden practice and so CTA maliciously link it with China by saying Dorje Shugden practitioners are Chinese spies. Now he has the effect he wanted and the people who lost their country grew angry.

After so many years, the world changed with the Western powers shifting their affiliations towards China due to her successful growth in trade and political outreach. The Dalai Lama had many years been stating for Autonomy Rule of Tibet and wishes to return to Tibet. Yet CTA are still in their own world and not waking up to the fact that the world is turning their backs to the Dalai Lama for fear of offending China. When they should be working on policies of friendship towards China, CTA is still spitting offending rhetoric at the one who holds their fate to return home in her hands. It is really clear that CTA and Sikyong is scared to give up their comfortable lives of freeloading on huge sponsorship monies with US being the major sponsor. Last I read, it was somewhat of USD19 million per year from US. With monies like this in their pockets without much work other then to irritate and harass China, CTA continues to leave their integrity in the gutters and leave their people floundering in refugee camps around India. Many Tibetans in exile who gave up on CTA, returned home to Tibet and found it surprisingly much better living than it had been under old rule. China had poured so much funds into rehabilitating Tibet into its former glory and allowed freedom of travel and ownership of properties, businesses and religious practices. The occasional unrest is probably incited by CTA, misusing the Tibetans' loyalty to the Dalai Lama as their political pawns.

CTA and Sikyong Lobsang Sangay should quickly realise that wrongfully accusing Dorje Shugden as the villain simply does not help their cause other than to create more negative karma for themselves. China may be their political foe but with wisdom, CTA could turn her into their ally. After all, China holds the "Yes" or no to Tibetans in exile's return home in her hands and she is generous with the many allies she has. May the Dalai Lama's wish to go home be fulfilled, the illogical ban on Dorje Shugden be lifted and the sanctity of Tibetan Buddhism be restored to its former glory.

Taking initiation implies taking vows, and therefore loyalty. Now, swearing loyalty to a separatist tool of Western imperialism, such as the evil dalie, someone who has consistently supported Islamic State and other terrorist organizations, should indeed be a matter of concern to any responsible government, such as the Chinese.
