"Petition to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama"
« on: February 28, 2014, 08:18:44 AM »

http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/petition-to-his-holiness-the-14th-dalai-lama/

Darren Prout from the United Kingdom submitted a petition to end the persecution of Dorje Shugden and be granted the freedom of religion. He wrote the petition in a very polite manner in order not to call another violence. One of the main arguments was that it is ironic how Dalai Lama travels around the world to teach tolerance and compassion, but the Dalai Lama Himself is not following the principles. He must stop the prosecution.

Being active yet peaceful is the most important key and step to bring the end to any prosecution.

Perhaps some believers are stuck in their houses just hoping that Dalai Lama will end the prosecution sometime. And they perhaps think that there are many others protesting on behalf them. But one makes a huge difference. The group has become huge by adding one person and another, and so on and became powerful. If more people submit petitions and take actions to end the prosecution, there will be a change. Dalai Lama will get the pressure. Look at some of the Olympics results from the past. Some gold medalists were demoted to be silver medalists because world citizens thought that judges were heavily biased. More and more people should act like Darren Prout.

Signed!

Hope more people would sign the petition quickly! Religious freedom is important for everyone! No one deserves to be oppressed for their differences. It may be difficult today, but just like many others that were oppressed in the past but free today, it can happen too for Dorje Shugden practitioners.

I have signed the petition. Close to 2.5K people have done so too. It is baffling that despite all the protests  and petitions, CTA remains oblivious to it all . Can't they see that the suppression on dorje shugden practitioners has now attracted international media's attention and also has become an international human rights issue judging from the recent protests in San Francisco, Berkeley and Los Angeles. The protesters were mainly Westerners, not Tibetans. Either CTA is a bunch of illiterates or they have their personal agenda.

SIGNED! SHARED and gonna TWEET it!!!

I am still wondering why has the "MEDIA" still not ask HHDL some hard questions about this BAN? There is soooo many angles to write about and to bring up. I hope one brave reporter would appear and do this. There are so many questions one can ask His Holiness like...

1) Do you believe in religious freedom?
2) Do you know what constitute religious freedom?
3) Why do you ban the so called "spirit" worship of Dorje Shuugden in your exile community? Do they not deserve human rights and religious freedom.
4) You wish for China to give this very basic human rights to the Tibetans in Tibet, why are you His Holiness not giving this to your own people?
5) If they have the right to practice whatever they wish, then why is there a wall separating Dorje Shugden monks and non-Shugden monks?
6) Why are they not allowed in public hospitals or education for their kids?
7) What is religious tolerance to you His Holiness?

This is far more interesting than whatever talks HHDL is going to give in Washington next!

I think for some of us religious freedom is such a basic human rights that we neglected that not everyone is living in the same country like ours and enjoy the same freedom protected by the laws. The ban has created much suffering and unhappiness in the Tibetan community. At the same time the CTA are taking physical actions against Shugden practitioners which contravene the teaching of Buddha of not harming sentient beings. In essence CTA is using force to make people accept the Dorje Shugden ban. There are many examples in the world that government has used force to make its people accept an ideology. In other words making others accept our own viewpoint by threatening and punishment. The Buddha has taught many and there are even teachings for the rules on how to run a country well. HH Dalai Lama is an enlightened being therefore he can very well give good advises on this matter.

This is one of the most important way to force the Dalai Lama to lift the ban. He must be expose for what he has done. Millions are suffering discriminations and denied basic human rights. For a compassionate person that he is suppose to be, if he thinks the Shugdenpas are praying to a malevolent spirit then he should show even more compassion instead of harming them.
We need for the world to see the sufferings caused by the Dalai Lama's ban. Videos on the youtube like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdTnEnBsneM should be circulated to the world for them to judge and see the actions of the Dalai Lama and the CTA and for the world hence to pressure the Dalai Lama.

I really hope that more people would sign this petition in order to create more traffics and pressure on His Holiness. We can also share this to our friends and families, it only takes some personal information, won't be too hard to sign for it. His Holiness must end this discrimination now, only HE can save the people and stop the war, everybody deserves religious freedom.
