The video is funny! but it did made me think about certain things.

I thought of parallels between the ban and hitler's anti jewish sentiments and they're more or less the same. Hitler hated the jews due to a personal vendetta against a jewish arts college for criticizing his painting, and the Dalai Lama "hated" Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen and Dorje Shugden because TDG was his contender for the position of the 5th Dalai Lama. Hitler gassed the jews and the Dalai Lama created a blanket ban against everyone practicing Dorje Shugden and as a result many practitioners suffer unnecessarily....can anyone see the parallels in this? I can and its kinda scary.

Haha! What a funny video! It's much like what a btchy, hot-tempered Shugden practitioner would say (although those shouldn't be the descriptions of a DS practitioner)!

I find it to be a humorous and light-hearted parody of the situation, but it's definitely not a parallel of Hitler gassing millions of Jews and HH Dalai Lama banning the DS practice! FAR from it, Ensapa! lol

Our fellow Shugdenpa's suffering is not "unnecessary". More people have, and will continue to, benefit from Dorje Shugden's practice in the long-run, just as how millions of Tibetans who went into exile during the Chinese invasion was not "unnecessary". How many people have received the Dharma since 1949?

If we want to point fingers as HHDL for banning the practice, why not point fingers at Nechung? After all, Nechung keeps giving false information about DS, which contributed as one of the causes of the ban. This was taken by one of thaimonk's posts back in 2010.

"His Holiness the Dalai Lama consulted Palden Lhamo by means of divination and other methods to discover whether the propitiation of Shugden could be continued or should be prohibited."

Actually, HH the Dalai Lama consulted the State Oracle:

1rst answer of the State Oracle:

"Dorje Shugden a powerful deity, only to be worshipped by beings with high realizations. However worshipping this deity would upset Goddess Palden Lhamo (a superior protecting deity, who does not have an oracle)"

2nd answer of the State Oracle:

"the deity is appropriate to be worshipped by an individual, but not by a group"

3rd answer of the State Oracle:

"Dorje Shugden is a deity, suitable to the others, but not to the successor of the 5th Dalai Lama and those working for the Gaden Phodrang Government established by the 5th Dalai Lama."

4rth answer of the State Oracle:

"Dorje Shugden is a spirit born out of a Kagyupa-monk who hated the Tibetan government, and not the incarnation of Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen"

5th answer of the State Oracle:

"Dorje Shugden is the spirit of Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen, whose Samaya bond to the 5th Dalai Lama was not good, thus it is harmful for this government."

6th answer of the State Oracle:

"Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen was a good lama, whose works of composition are praiseworthy, therefore Dorje Shugden cannot be the spirit of such a master."

7th answer of the State Oracle:

"Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen himself was a false Tulku, who came to be among the candidates for the 5th Dalai Lama and failed to be chosen, but through clever tactics of his mother on the first Panchen Lama Choe Kyi Gyaltsen, he was recognized as the fourth reincarnation of Panchen Sonam Dragpa (the teacher of 3rd Dalai Lama), but was then born as an evil, trouble-making spirit to harm the Tibetan government."

When HH the 14th Dalai Lama presented his "proofs" to HH Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche, his Tutor answered:

"Palden Lhamo would not lie to You"

*************************************************************************

It is truly amazing how Nechung in trance changes his answers to the Dalai Lama regarding Dorje Shugden.

One of the main causes of the ban on Dorje Shugden are the statements made by Nechung.

The inconsistencies are alarming.

... but then again, without Nechung, Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen may not have remembered his previous sworn promise. After which when he ate the rice given by Nechung, and meditating, reminded him to arise as a Dharma protector...

So, who are we to point fingers to now?

Interesting that you brought these points up about Nechung. On Nechung's inaccuracy, it seems to have begun after a certain interesting incident about an assassination against the 13th Dalai Lama's life:

Quote
No sooner had the 13th Dalai Lama become the ruler of Tibet than Demo Rimpoche, the regent of the 13th Dalai Lama’s minority, attempted to regain power by killing him through Buddhist black magic. It appears that after Demo Rimpoche relinquished power to the 13th Dalai Lama, his enemies began to exact revenge on him by harming his supporters and friends. Helpless to protect them, the ex-regent and his brother and manager, Norbu Tsering, became increasingly frustrated and bitter. Norbu Tsering enlisted the help of a lama known as Nyagtru, from Nyarong in Eastern Tibet, who used the deity Shinje Tsheda in his black magic rites and ultimately prepared a particularly powerful mantra which consisted of the figure of a man with outstretched arms and legs. Surrounding this figure were various written mantras, and inside its body the words Thubten Gyatso and chiwa were written: Thubten Gyatso was the personal name of the 13th Dalai Lama, and chiwa was his birth year. This black mantra was put inside the sole of a beautiful pair of new boots which Demo Rinpoche sent as a gift to Sogya, another Khamba lama who had achieved a high level of spiritual development through the diety Shinje Tsheda and whose own spiritual development, it was believed would synergistically increase the power of the black magic and end the Dalai Lama’s life.

Perhaps until today, it is not the real Nechung who goes into trance, but him, and nobody could tell....

This is so funny and the video is so creatively done. But the messages that it's bringing out are very clear and straightforward, we all should enjoy religious freedom, we all deserve it. And I must say that, this is a clever editing hahaha. Thank you for sharing! :)
