"700 in Washington D.C."

http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/news/700-protesters-in-washington-dc-demanding-religious-freedom/

More than 700 International Shugden Committee (ISC) members, even from Mexico and England, were gathered for a peaceful demonstration in Washington D.C.. At the National Cathedral where the Dalai Lama was giving a speech, some ISC members asked Him questions about the Dorje Shugden that made Him reach an impasse. Immediately, the members were escorted out by the security personnel without further protesting against the Dalai Lama.

These protesters showed how effective a peaceful protest is by asking questions step-by-step to His Holiness.

Historical leaders have shown the effectiveness of the peaceful protests through endurance, patience and intelligence. The Shugden practitioners know that violence will create another violence, and eventually form a vicious cycle. Calmly asking questions about His ban on the Dorje Shugden and attacking His logic and policies rather than His personalities was an excellent strategy. Now the Shugden practitioners have stepped further in bringing religious freedom and happiness.

I applaud the devotion of the protestors as they not only have to incur personal expenses to join the demonstration (some flew in all the way from UK) but withstanding the scorching sun and probably humiliation by the Dalai Lama's group. So much was against them yet they still went out there.

On the other hand, it is so sad to see a Buddhist community divided spiritually and physically. The protestors confined to an area and on the other side of the 'fence' were the anti Dorje Shugden group. Both groups are Buddhists, yet divided. Back in South India where the great Gaden Shartse is, a wall was erected afew years ago, separating Shartse and now Shar Gaden. Monks who have been friends for years stop talking to each other and do not acknowledge each other when they meet on the streets. The ban has caused so much pain and destruction.

It is heartwarming to see so many devoted practitioners near and afar gathered together for a peaceful protest to have the rights to religious freedom. What DS practitioners are asking for is to practice without being ostracized and treated like criminals. Not only are DS practitioners deprived of religious freedom, they are also deprive to freedom of speech. When two braved protestors managed to question the Dalai Lama; they were escorted out from the National Cathedral. http://www.dorjeshugden.com/forum/index.php?topic=4713.0. What is baffling is that the Dalai Lama speaks of peace, harmony and compassion yet when it comes to Dorje Shugden practitioners it is the contrary.

May the ban be lifted soon as it has already caused so much pain and sufferings.

Well done ISC! It’s so touched and I respect them a lot. The devotion towards their Guru who gave them the practice and their great effort to bring 700 people from far to organize the trip for the protest. Obviously you can see Lord Shugden practitioners can never go violent and being so professional during the protest. It’s important for all the devoted practitioners to show their support to show the world how much suffering that the practitioners have gone through (pls refer http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/tibetan-leadership-organizes-violence/) and even the Dalai Lama couldn’t  give a logical explanation for the ban and further to that his 2 teachers are the great Lamas has been practicing and how can that be wrong? If Trijang Rinpoche and Lati Rinpoche are wrong, how can Dalai Lama be right? As from the evident Trijang Rinpoche comes back for his unmistaken incarnation, how can that be if he’s practicing demon or spirit as claim by the Dalai Lama?

I’m so glad to see the media coverage on this protest and it’s so important to let the world know this ban has created so much suffering to all the devoted practitioners. I’m inspired by ISC dedication and we should continue to tell “The Truth” in anyway to bring down the ban.

I really look up up to those people made their way from foreign countries to Washington D.C.  for the ISC's protest. This shows that the name Dorje Shugden  is gaining popularity.
The ISC's people really handle their job well, unlike the people of the CTA and Dalai Lama they[ISC people] do their job without any form of violence or anger. This shows that people who practice Dorje Shugden are generally  more calm and peaceful unlike the people who hate Dorje Shugden and call him a evil spirit.

Thank you ISC for being a good example for Dorje Shugden practitioners by doing everything peacefully and orderly.

I hope that the Ban come down soon without any form of violence or bloodshed.

Wow! This is good news for Dorje Shugden practitioners. Everyone should be given the freedom to protest and to voice out their thoughts. And when a protest happens, it should be in a peaceful manner whereby no attacks should happen. Peaceful protest is the way to be. If someone uses forceful manner, what outcome will you get? Thinking from other point, if you hurt someone during the protest, what karma will you accumulate? 700 people turned up for a protest is no joke. The people have make the effort to be there and to show Dalai Lama that his ban should be lifted soon. I pray that this Shugden ban be lifted soon.

This is really something! I salute and bow to all of them! I really feel the warmth when watching the video, how they peacefully protest to lift the ban, people from around the world stand for the ban. I am so touched. This means one thing, the whole world is watching. Watching how Dalai Lama react about this controversy. People from the world concern about the ban, about religious freedom. When I read that "the two ISC members asked the Dalai Lama if Trijang Rinpoche and Ling Rinpoche were wrong about Dorje Shugden. The Dalai Lama could not answer their second question." Of course Dalai Lama couldn't answer that question! Lol. If he said they are not wrong, means himself is wrong about the ban. If they said they are wrong, then he himself also wrong too, due to he is from the same lineage. No matter what answer Dalai Lama gave, is contradictory. He can only say 5th Dalai Lama instituted it. Then he twisted it, "actually, Dorje Shugden monasteries are good but it is the lamas who have made a mistake." So, which statement he mentioned is a firm statement? LOL. "Dorje Shugden monasteries are good but it is the lamas who have made a mistake" this actually contain a lot of hidden meaning. Let's hope that the ban will be lifted soon.

Hello Richardlaktam PLEASE GET UPDATED with the LATEST NEWS on ISC. I would not SOLUTE or BOW to any of them so fast. This is a very old news - 2014 and there is nothing to rejoice about them now. In fact, if you know what's happening, you'll probably think they are DEGENERATING. Look at what they are accusing of HH Trijang Rinpoche and look how rude Kelsang Rabten is in his response! Just so disgusting and I cannot believe we supported them and now we get back stabbed. Feels like all HH Trijang Rinpoche's student got back stabbed! Feels like our lineage Lamas all got back stabbed, why because if you say HH Trijang Rinpoche is wrong then you are saying all the highly attained Shugden Lamas including Dorje Shugden himself is wrong! If this is so, they better renounce being a Shugden practitioner!
