To say that Trijang Rinpoche has a close relationship with Dorje Shugden would be an understatement. If any of youve read the biography of his previous incarnation, it talks about how Trijang Rinpoche when he was younger was a playful chap not interested in studying. So when Trijang Rinpoche was playing when he was meant to be studying and his tutor was about to catch him, Dorje Shugden would knock loudly to let the young incarnation know the tutor was coming so he could go back to his books and pretend he was studying all along. Always thought it was a cute story but someone later pointed out to me that Dorje Shugden was being kind to the tutor too. Hed have accumulated a lot of negative karma for beating an attained being even if the motivation was good.
In this life its not different if youve observed Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche over the years. It started with Dharamsala harassing him as a child to give up the practice, to the point he was chased out of the monastery and had to seek refuge in Europe. Well that child that Dharamsala thought they could bully is now grown up and clearly has never abandoned or thought to abandon the Dharma protector practice. Its just sad to be honest, that politics for Dharamsala is so important that they would stoop that low to bully and harass a child. Nowts sacred to them. And someone of lesser mind wouldve bent to the pressure but Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche didnt. It just goes to show the strength of character, mind and practice.
As a friend once told me about this ban, itll separate the wheat from the chaff. Yeah I see it now for sure.
