TYC activists storm Chinese embassy as China's 19th Party Congress kicks off

President Dr Lobsang Sangay studied English Literature at Hansraj College, Delhi University from 1988 – 1991. During his college days, Dr Sangay was the President of the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC) and a prominent Tibetan activist. Following his studies in Delhi University, Dr Lobsang Sangay went to Harvard University in 1995 from where he received Doctor of Judicial Science (SJD), Harvard university’s most advanced law degree, on a Tibetan Fulbright scholarship programme.

DHARAMSHALA, October 18: Coinciding with the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, around 50 Tibetans including members of Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (Rohini) and TYC executive members stormed the premises of the Chinese Embassy in the Indian capital.

Police arrested the activists from the largest pro independence group of the Tibetan exiles following protests outside the heavily guarded Chinese embassy in New Delhi today.

Lobsang Sangay should discourage this kind of protest as it only creates more friction. How is this kind of protest going to help if they wish to have a dialogue with China and wish for Tibet autonomy?

If Mr. Sangay continues to stay quiet and we don't see any drastic change then we all know that CTA is just saying all these things as a front to gain sympathy and funds from the western world. They just always contradict themselves, this is why they are never going to gain anything from China or the West because eventually when His Holiness passes... who on earth is gonna care about CTA? What have they done to contribute to our planet earth or economy? What is so great or special about them when they divide and ruined their own people's lives!
