"Dharamsala, December 5
The Dalai Lama took a jibe at the controversial religious guru, Ram Rahim Singh, saying Indian spiritual message should reach the world in a better manner, and not in the way the controversial Haryana guru was doing. It was the result of the ideals of the Indian system that even the gurus who did wrong were punished, he said."

I find it very odd that His Holiness is bringing up Ram Rahim Singh who on 25 August 2017 was convicted of rape by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court. His conviction led to widespread rioting, which left 31 – 38 DSS members dead from clashes with police and 120 –300 injured. It is like pouring salt into wounds. India does not need this. Ram Rahim Singh has already been successfully prosecuted.

It reminds me of the recent claim by His Holiness that Buddha was Indian and therefore not Nepali.

There is no need for this.

agreed. this is unnecessary. The Dalai Lama should start looking into his own government. There is Penpa Tsering. There is Lobsang Sangay and Dhardon Sharling, there is Tenzin Dhonden and well, others.

At the lest, the Indian government made their investigations. Unfortunately, in the Dalai Lama's case, the rot's in the leadership. This is a case worse than "pot calling the kettle black".

I wonder in what way the Dalai Lama is now pushing the cause of the Tibetans???

Maybe it is a subliminal message to the CTA that when they don't start to get things done towards creating a better relationship with China, there will be many more problems.

The CTA's job is to give the Tibetans hope and the means to live a life of meaning, yet what the CTA, the Central Tibetan Administration does, is keeping the exile Tibetans dependent on themselves so that they can keep on receiving donations.

The wishes of the Dalai Lama are cristal clear!
When does the CTA finally start to fulfill the Dalai Lama's wishes???

@Pema8, the current CTA is never going to do what the Dalai Lama wants. They do what they want. That is the sad thing. They are using the Dalai Lama's good name and nature of coerce and brainwash the Tibetans into their way of thinking for them to run amok with the funds collected as evidenced by the disputes going on now with Penpa Tsering and Lobsang Sangay and dragging Kelsang "Kaydor" Aukatsang into the fray. What a party this is promising to be.

Not sure what is the Dalai Lama’s intention when highlighting about controversial religious guru, Ram Rahim Singh, and whilst there could very well be a compelling reason for the Dalai Lama’s action, the issue with the Tibetan leadership is as much as worth addressing and even condemning. In fact, the Dalai Lama’s words chastising the Tibetan leadership’s inappropriate actions and conducts so totally unbecoming of a democratic governing body would have immediate impact, especially since the Tibetan leadership has been capitalising on the Dalai Lama’s name to get away with all their wrong doings so far.

Seems like the Dalai Lama is destroying his own reputation, so there will not be another Dalai Lama after the current one.

I mean who wants a Dalai Lama that is known to interfere with other spiritual paths and teacher and is seen to be stirring problems, in an already troubled.
