Its Official! The Tibetan Leadership Is Totally Deluded

This is on based on an 2017 article in which the Sikyong Lobsang Sangay claimed that Tibetan Buddhism was saved because 30,000 monks and nuns specially trained in India (presumably by the CTA) "sneaked back" into China-controlled Tibet and saved their civilisation and the religion.

We have heard many wild and absurd claims by Lobsang Sangay who has become extremely good at telling fibs, but someone better give him an Oscar for 'Best Script For a Wild Fantasy'.

Sangay didn't elaborate where the 30,000 monks and nuns were from. If these so-called specially educated members of the Sangha were from the Tibetan settlements, then it would have literally emptied out all the Tibetan monasteries in India. If these 30,000 monks and nuns were from China, then surely it must be surely who is behind Tibet's revival of Tibetan Buddhism.

In any case, if 30,000 Tibetans could do so much, why not send another 30,000 and take over Tibet again?

We may not like that China took over Tibet and we can have debates about whether Tibet actually belonged under China's sovereignty. But one thing is for sure - the CTA is the one that is destroying Buddhism with the corruption of its principles and by the politicization of Tibetan Buddhism. China on the other hand is reviving it. Even Gavin Kilty, the Tibetan translator who is very pro Dalai Lama has this to say:

When the current Chinese president, Xi Jinping, was visiting Europe recently he said, in response to a question about the Chinese government’s lack of care for the Tibetan people, “The Chinese government cares more for the Tibetan people than the international community does.” From one point of view he was correct. The government has poured billions of yuan into Tibet to bolster its economy, improve infrastructure, and provide services. There are even stories of the government building homes for Tibetans who return from exile, and of providing them with jobs and money. Monasteries have been rebuilt; hospitals and schools are constructed where there were none before. These improvements in Tibet are undeniable. The country resembles a large construction site. This is what the president meant when he said the government cares for Tibetans.

Just in the Dorje Shugden ban alone, we have seen how the CTA has deformed the concept of devotion to the guru and the importance of keeping oaths, not to mention completely twisting Tibetan spiritual history.

This is a good article to illustrate how much the CTA take everyone for fools and why the Tibetan cause is failing. How can it succeed when you have someone like Sangay at the helm?


China did not succeed in destroying Buddhism in Tibet: Lobsang Sangay

Sangay said the Tibetan government in exile discourages self-immolation and also noted that not a single Chinese person has been harmed by Tibetans.

Tibetans have foiled China’s attempts to “destroy” Buddhism in the remote Himalayan region with the help of nearly 30,000 monks and nuns “educated” in India who “sneaked” back to revive their culture, the leader of the Tibetan government in exile has said.

Lobsang Sangay, the president of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), said the “very objective of the invasion, occupation of Tibet in some ways if not defeated, has been diluted because (the Chinese) thought that they would destroy the Tibetan Buddhist civilisation thereby assimilate Tibet into China and Tibetan into Chinese. But it did not work.”

“Since 1980s, we have rebuilt voluntarily mainly by Tibetans inside Tibet and Buddhism has revived. And our sense of culture, civilisation and identity has also been revived in Tibet,” Sangay said yesterday at a public event organised by The Heritage Foundation, an American thinktank.

He said an estimated 30,000 Tibetans who were “educated” in India and “sneaked back” into Tibet have revived their civilisation.
“By going back in 1980s, when there was some social space in Tibet particularly, and in China in general, Tibetans rebuild monasteries in Tibet and learned and reeducated themselves with the help of some of the exiles (who were) trained and educated monks and nuns,” Sangay said.

“Buddhism has revived. Tibetans in Tibet are not just embracing Buddhism even the second and third generation of Tibetans are very much conscious of their identity,” he said. But, he said, the Chinese government “is hell bent upon the destruction of Buddhism in China”. Communist Party-ruled China is officially atheist.

Referring to the ongoing demolition of the Larung Gar monastery – the largest Buddhist institute in Tibet, which has some 12,000 monks and nuns, he said “unfortunately what is happening is that the Chines government is reviving something akin to cultural revolution in Tibet.”

He said the situation is same with other monastries in Tibet, “from where monks and nuns are being expelled.” “Because of this and other repressive policies of the Chinese government, 149 Tibetans have committed self-immolation of which nearly 130 have died,” he said.

Sangay said the Tibetan government in exile discourages self-immolation and also noted that not a single Chinese person has been harmed by Tibetans.

He also blamed China for the rapid melting of “thousands of glaciers” in Tibet on which 1.4 billion people in Asia depend for fresh water, saying migration of the Chinese to the Tibetan plateau and rapid urbanisation and industrialisation has led to the development. The Tibetan civilisation and culture ought to be preserved, he said.

Reiterating the “middle way” approach of the spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in resolving the dispute, Sangay said Tibetans should be granted “genuine” autonomy within China, within the framework of the Chinese Constitution.

“If the Chinese government implement their own laws listed in the Constitution and minorities nationalities act, we could take that as genuine autonomy,” he said, adding that the US supports the middle way approach of the Tibetan people.

“We do believe that the Tibetan cause would prevail,” Sangay said.

All he has done for the Tibetans is to break them up to divert attention from his failings. Using an authentic practice of Dorje Shugden to break his people up and create so many sufferings from discrimination, persecution and segregation is the only contribution he had to his people. Of course, there is the siphoning of public money into his own pockets and those he keeps as his stooges. His pride really has no limits. If he had cared, then he would have had stopped the self-immolations within Tibet, instead of calling them heroes. I do not doubt that the CTA is inciting self-immolations and for sure Tibetan suicides became more common after Lobsang Sangay came into the picture. The CTA says that Kirti Monastery is monitoring the self-immolations but when you see the video, its a couple of monks with handphones from Kirti Monastery in India talking to counterparts in Kirti Gompa Sichuan Province. Its the CTA behind this but using Kirti as a cover.

Anyway if its mainly monks that are self-immolating, then all the more the Dalai Lama should say something and intervene. If the Dalai Lama were to issue to a religious edict saying that any Tibetan who self-immolates breaks samaya with him and henceforth the self-immolator's family are excommunicated, all these suicides would stop for sure.

But 30,000??? I don't think the CTA is able to co-ordinate this kind of effort. They are too self-serving and incompetent to do something on this scale.

Still, I hope it is true and it becomes exposed that they did train and educate 30,000 Tibetan people to do this despicable act. Then it should show that the CTA spent the most effort getting the Tibetan people to harm themselves.

Dont be silly Mr Lobsang Sangay. He can't educate 162 Tibetans to not self-immolate and now he claims that he trained 30,000 monks and nuns that were sent back to Tibet to save the civilisation and the religion. Why doesn't he train another 30,000 Tibetans to get back their country since 30,000 Tibetans are so powerful?

Why dont he also send millions to fund the monasteries and the Tibetans in Tibet to save their own people and the monasteries? China has been funding major monasteries and also renovating iconic religious sites such as the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Why after China had done so much, then Mr Lobsang Sangay said he is the one responsible for saving Tibet's culture and religion?

He can't even handle the situation and corruption in his own government that forces a monk to threaten them to stop their monkey business or he will kill himself. This coming from a monk who is supposed to be engaging in deep meditation and retreats speaks volumes. The situation in the Tibetan government is so terrible that even a monk who is not supposed to be involved in all of this nonsense to make a drastic statement hoping that he will be able to help to relieve the suffering of his fellow Tibetans.

All Tibetans should just return to Tibet under China and abandon CTA who has done nothing for them but exploited them.

The information he has released to the public about Dorje Shugden are all distorted facts and lies. He only creates harm and brings no benefit to the Tibetans.

The ones who suffer are the Tibetans. They are exploited by their own leadership and yet they don't realise it. The representatives in the Tibetan leadership have their future well planned. They have a passport, house, car, education and money. They can enjoy their lives, move around freely while the normal Tibetans have to remain stateless and their movements are restricted.

That is really sad for Tibetans and it is the truth. The Tibetan Leadership have planned their future pretty well i must say. Foreign passports, property in overseas and fat bank accounts for the rest of their lives. Tibetans in exile are so foolish to pledge their loyalty to leadership that exploits their own people while reaping benefits for themselves.

It is amazing that after 60 years, Tibetans are still so loyal to them despite the lack of progress in the Tibetan cause and also the ill treatment from the leadership. Non of the fund that was donated for the Tibetans ever reach them. Millions of funds went are being donated to the Tibetan leadership annually while the Tibetans live in poverty does not make sense. Where did the funds go?

Coincidentally, Lobsang Sangay can pay off his mortgage loan for an overseas property rather quickly raises suspicion. Sadly, Tibetans are blind to all of these and they even went to the extent of self-immolation to save their own country. So much innocent lives are lost because Tibetan leadership did not do their job well and they failed all Tibetans.

The Tibetan leadership has no leadership quality. If they have, they would have produced some results for the Tibet cause. They don't feel shameful or guilty for not being able to deliver anything to the Tibetans. Until today there is still no tangible plan from the CTA on the future of the Tibetans in exile.

Many Tibetans have given up hope on the CTA. Some of them migrated to the western countries for a brighter future; some of them decided to go back to China to reunite with their family. Those who are still in India even though try to obtain Indian citizenship but are disallowed by the CTA.

The CTA has lost control of the Tibetans in the west, they try to control the Tibetans in India so they will still have refugees and poor me story to earn the sympathy from the west and get some free money. But as the number of refugees is getting fewer, I believe the fund from the sponsor will be less as well. The CTA must feel very uneasy now. If they lose their sponsorship, it will be very hard for them to sustain.

The CTA definitely is deluded. Lobsang Sangay just plucked the number from the air and said it for the sake of saying it. Are the Tibetans and everyone so gullible to believe the CTA has sent 30,000 monks and nuns back to Tibet? These 30,000 monks and nuns have saved Tibetan Buddhism? With what? I know China has invested millions of dollars to restore monasteries and precious Buddhist artifects or relics. Lobsang Sangay should let us know how did these 30,000 monks and nuns save Tibetan Buddhism.

Lobsang Sangay and the CTA are very arrogant, they don't think people has a mind to analyse things that they say, they just give stupid statements and force people to follow. The Dorje Shugden ban is a very good example, many things the CTA said about Dorje Shugden is not true and baseless. This shows how deluded they are thinking people with sense will believe them.

The CTA is incapable to manage and run a country. Otherwise they would not have lost Tibet. If they are an effective leadership, their cause would have been a success long ago, but after 60 years, they are still struggling. They lied to the Tibetans and they exploit the Tibetans for their own interest.

The Tibetan leadership has always been deluded and they are viewing the world as if it is their playground. They manipulated everyone and everything around them to get benefit for themselves and this includes the Tibetans in exile who are their own people.

Now they are even making up false news to show to the world that they are actually doing something and have some kind of results. The Tibetan culture in Tibet is not suppressed as long as no one talks about the Dalai Lama. China is investing a lot of money to help preserve the culture and also the heritage in Tibet.

Funds are given to monasteries and also to the preservation of holy sites. China is certainly doing a much better job in preserving the culture and heritage of Tibetans than the Tibetan leadership. Tibetan leadership knows that and they have to make up a huge lie to convince to the world that China is not better than them in preserving their own culture because that is what they have been fighting for. In a nutshell, the Tibetan leadership is willing to do whatever to make themselves look good and make China look bad even if they have to lie about it.
