Would you believe this?!

The second annual international Shugden Dorje Awareness Day is going to be organised by a Christian leader priest... Rev. Robert Koerber. This is so amazing and sooooo refreshing to read. What a big blow on CTA's face when they finish all their dramas and realise this for sure.

Rev. Koerber will help organize the second annual International Shugden Dorje Awareness Day at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, National Catholic Church, at 15 Thayer St. in South Deerfield today!!!
Interfaith harmony is the obviously correct way to go and it puts all those Tibetans who discriminate against Dorje Shugden practitioners to shame!

This should be celebrated and more of such events is what we actually really need now around the world with so much hate and animosity going on, we definitely do not need to add to it instead we need to difuse it with more positive events like this! Koerber said the event is a chance to “put away differences” in a world with “too many guns, too many drugs, too many gangs, too much hate, too much anger.” Well, Amen to that!

SOUTH DEERFIELD — The Rev. Robert Koerber believes respect and religious tolerance are more important now than ever before.

With this in mind, he has helped organize the second annual International Shugden Dorje Awareness Day at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, National Catholic Church, at 15 Thayer St. in South Deerfield, set for Saturday. Representatives from various Tibetan communities from across the United States and Canada will join area clergy and laypeople of other faiths to recall the need for the teaching of love, peace, mercy, forgiveness and compassion.

Koerber said the event is a chance to “put away differences” in a world with “too many guns, too many drugs, too many gangs, too much hate, too much anger.”

Traditional Tibetan food, prepared by members of the various Tibetan communities, will be shared in a buffet starting at 3 p.m., and a special concert will be held in the church at 5 p.m. Penpa Tsering, a musician from the Boston area, will offer traditional Tibetan songs on various musical instruments. Brothers Sonam and Lobsang Gyaltsen will perform other peace songs. There will also be music from other faiths.

Koerber said he is particularly excited about the planned attendance of the Venerable Rana Rata Orchie, who Koerber said is a most honored Tibetan monk from Mongolia and will share some words of peace.

Also, an angel serving as a centerpiece to the church’s meditation garden will be blessed. Koerber said Sonam Lama of South Deerfield will help construct new stonework for this spot, which will serve as a place of prayer, reflection and meditation for anyone who visits.

The following day, the Holy Name of Jesus Parish will celebrate its 90th anniversary. A special anniversary Mass of the Eucharist will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Most Rev. Anthony A. Mikovsky, along with the Rt. Rev. Paul Sobiechowski and other area clergy. A barbecue at South Deerfield Polish American Citizens Club on South Main Street will follow.

So happy to see the Dorje Shugden Awareness Day being celebrated across the world.

May we all be protected by the Protector Dorje Shugden always!

This is beautiful and meaningful. Regardless of what religion you are what important is one put compassion, forgiveness, and respect into practice. When I read this article even people from different religious will respect the differences and would accept differences to promote peace and harmony. What important is not to emphasize the different but the similarity of our practice which is peace, compassion forgiveness and etc. This is the way for us to move forward and to live together in this world.

It’s sad that Tibetan leadership can’t see this and even discriminate against their own Tibetan just because of different preferences of spiritual practice. This shows how backward Tibetan leadership is and how they stuck in their own world. Whether the Chinese are in the picture or not, Tibet will not last like before because of their leader’s mentality and never learn and be opened to be democratic.

What the Tibetan leadership should fight to stop self-immolation, fight to stop a war, fight to stop being rude and barbaric to anyone, fight to befriend with the Chinese, fight to respect all spiritual practice, fight to unite Tibetan, fight people create disharmony and fight people disrespect human rights.

Hope to see more of such harmony activities from different beliefs and from different part of the world. This is hope for world peace.

Wow, this is very refreshing to know that a Christian priest will be organising the International Dorje Shugden Awareness Day, an even of another religion. This is simply wonderful. We may come from different religious background but there can still be harmony.

Regardless of religion, a genuine religion promotes harmony and respect. Let's be real, we are living in a world where people are of different skin colours, we speak different languages, we eat different foods, etc. No one is better than the other, we have to accept and respect the differences.

If a Christian priest can be so open to support another faith, why can't CTA be fair to all the Tibetans regardless of their beliefs? It is very unfair of the CTA to segregate its own people and to penalise them. A real democratic government will not do what the CTA is doing.

When is the CTA going to lift the ban and treat Dorje Shugden followers fairly like the rest of Tibetans? Even Christians can be friend and have business deal with Dorje Shugden followers, why can't anti-Shugden people be the same? Without harmony and unity, Tibetan community will not progress, the CTA has to understand it.
