Very touching indeed. Zong Rinpoche and Tsem Rinpoche were indeed extremely close. From what I gather, Zong Rinpoche recognized Tsem Rinpoche and asked him to come to India. Tsem Rinpoche complying left USA for good at 23 (?) for India. Very nice.

2) Beautiful and inside look at Tsem Rinpoche in the beginning when he joined Gaden back in 1988:

His poem makes me cry because I recognize his feelings. When your Teachers are gone then you feel that you are not home any more anywhere ... although they are with us constantly at the same time.

TK, Tsem Tulku has a complicated story, that I would like somebody to tell in detail. I know fragments, quite moving too.

Although born in a very high family he ended up being for some reason an adopted child. He lived with his parents in New Jersey, United States, close to Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tharchin´s center, Rashi Kempel Ling. I think that he had been somehow recognized already as a Tulku. Apparently he used to run to Rinpoche´s place, and Rinpoche was forced to tell him that he had to go back home, because his parents didn´t want him to go to the temple. So he would go, and then come back and leave a little bunch of flowers at the doorstep of that great Lama, that he considers his first Teacher. He probably run out of home at fourteen or so, and some time later he found Zong Rinpoche ... the rest we can see in those pictures, and read in that poem.

Very touching indeed, thank you.

Apparently Tsem Rinpoche gave a teaching on Vajra Yogini last nite. On this post, his students in the COMMENTS SECTION, wrote what he spoke about last night. The way Tsongkapa transforms into Vajra Yogini is fantastic. The stuff of divine X-Mens!!

Read the comments on the teachings:

The incredible closeness of Tsem Lama and Song Rinpoche is uncommon..if I may say, is the perfection of 50 Stanzas of Guru Devotion coming off the pages to life.

Thank you TK for sharing about Tsem Lama. It is indeed very inspiring and touching.

I read Tsem Rinpoche's teachings on Vajra Yogini and learned a lot from it. The comments from his students David Lai and Jamie Khoo are also very useful. Very inspiring. Thank you.

Yes, this is real good stuff. I read it through 3 times! Anyone who wants to prepare themselves to receive this sacred empowerment in future must start the preliminary practices as advised by Tsem Rinpoche. It is actually not that difficult to start with.

I love Tsongkhapa and I love Vajrayogini and I'd always wondered how to choose or to take both as a yidam but this explanation really was a light bulb moment for me. I very much loved the audio teaching on that blog post which describes the transformation of Tsongkhapa's enlightened qualities into Vajrayogini's stunning form.

Fantastic. And the steps to take to prepare for Vajrayogini practice for a kindergarten Buddhist like me are so practical and useful. Thank you to such kind Lamas like Tsem Rinpoche who presents Dharma in such a convenient and easy manner. And massive thank you to TK for always pointing out these fabulous gems online...

Guru Devotion is most supreme. After all, without the Guru - where would we all be? How will each of us truly learn, and how far can books and texts expound on the teachings for us to understand without doubts, confusion and mistakes? Gurus are the very reasons Buddha's Teachings are kept alive from one generation to another. The Dharma lives on because of our Gurus and the teachings continues because there are great Masters. I pay homage to all Gurus. May they always continue to be our GUIDING LIGHT in this world of darkness.

Tsem Rinpoche indeed has a very unusual life story, it is very inspiring. His life story further convinced me why he is truly a RINPOCHE.

I follow Tsem Rinpoche's blog closely and have compiled here in chronological order his life story, from Rinpoche's own words. However for more exhaustive life story of Tsem Rinpoche please refer to his website mentioned at the bottom.
