The Dalai Lama's view of weapons
« on: July 11, 2015, 04:50:53 AM »
Interesting. Can someone tell me where to verify this "Buddhist" view in the Lamrim?

The evil dalie, being himself the epitome of violence, is widely accepted in the West as some kind of “non-violent” leader.

The Chinese government and press, on the other hand, accurately portrays him for what he is, as a wolf in sheep's clothing.

This is a measure of the collective delusion, or mental slavery, induced by the brainwashing propaganda perpetrated by Western self-styled “free-press”.

Buddhists in general, and Shudgenpas in particular, in their quest for freedom, should therefore get rid of such media-induced mental slavery.

At the level of the law of karma, weapons are neutral. It is the actions that is cause by the weapons that are negative. Further, weapons violence are made with the motivation for violence as a way to "defend" a cause. So it can be use to help a country defend itself which inevitably causes death and injury but also prevent injuries to others. So it is really a very amplified mixed of karma.
Only very evil people or Mahasiddhas can view weapons as attractive.

You completely miss the point. The topic under discussion are not weapons per se, but the delight shown by the evil dalie lame over weapons.

Anyway, weapons are not neutral. They are tools of violence. Their very presence inspire violence. And violence is the very negation of Buddha's Dharma.

The fact that according to you weapons are “neutral” show your own inclination towards violence, and your own disinclination towards Buddha's Dharma.

Being yourself inclined towards violence, and disinclined towards Buddha's Dharma, it is just natural that you support the harmful actions of your violent hero, the evil dalie.

It is the actions that is cause by the weapons that are negative.

Weapons themselves are the product of negative actions aimed at making profit out of violence. And further negative actions are both inspired and made possible by such weapons.

Further, weapons violence are made with the motivation for violence as a way to "defend" a cause.

Pretexts for violence, such as “defending” a cause, do not make violence any better. And a cause which needs to be “defended” by violence is hardly a worth cause anyway.

Anyway, the causes defended by the weapon-lover dalie, such as brutal religious persecutions, racist bloody riots, and the suppression of his own people, are all violent by nature, whereby his love for weapons only reveals his morbid state of mind, obviously shared by you.

So it can be use to help a country defend itself which inevitably causes death and injury but also prevent injuries to others.

This is the standard discourse of weapon traffickers, and of gangsters in general. Your brazen defense of such a repugnant discourse shows that my previous guess about your mental morbidity was not far-fetched.

So it is really a very amplified mixed of karma.

A mix of hatred with violence, which is the favorite mix of your depraved hero, the evil dalie lame, whom you morbidly try to justify and glorify.

Only very evil people or Mahasiddhas can view weapons as attractive.

Mahasiddhas, being themselves beyond hatred and attachment, could not possibly be attached to tools for harming others, specially to the point of finding them “attractive”.

Shavaripa who was fond of weapons was humbled by Chenrezig, gave up his attachment to weapons, and became a peaceful person, eventually a mahasiddha.

Your gratuitous, ungranted, irresponsible statement that mahasiddhas view weapons as “attractive” show the lack of seriousness of your debate, which is just aimed at justifying and glorifying the obnoxious, putrid character of a demented criminal, the evil  dalie lame.
