11th Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden

I found on internet (http://wisdombuddhadorjeshugden.blogspot.com/) that it was the 11th Dalai Lama (1838 – 1856) that officially installed Dorje Shugden as the Protector of the Gelugpa tradition.

Does anyone know of a more detailed account of this recognition?

i was looking into this and found that the 11th Dalai Lama, Khedrup Gyatso (1 November 1838 – 31 January 1856), assumed full power on the request of his government on 1 March 1855, when he was 17 years old. He then died suddenly when he was 18 years old. So if he was to have enthroned Dorje Shugden, it would've been during that year?
