And the site just put up your favourite , I found this site by accident a couple weeks back its great it has the bio of many great masters.

By the way this is an even better bio on Ling Rinpoche
http://dorjeshugden.net/wp/?p=6218

I like this very much
“One of my teachers during this time was Je Pabongkhapa Dechen Nyingpo, manifestation of the glorious Chakrasamvara (Pal Khor Dompa). Among my other teachers were the great Kyabgon Yongdzin Sikyong Tradag Dorje Chang, Kyabje Yongdzin Trijang Dorje Chang, Kyabje Khangsar Dorje Chang, Chone Lama Rinpoche Losang Gyaltsen Palzangpo and others. I studied with thirty scholars and practitioners. Their kindness cannot be repaid even by holding them on my head for infinite lifetimes.”

So, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche were both students of Kyabje Pabongka Dechen Nyingpo. Kyabje Pabongka passed all of his teachings to Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche to preserve it as he felt he wouldn't be able to leave Tibet when the Chinese came. So, the sacred duty of preserving and propagating Dorje Shugden went to Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and it is no wonder that the Kyabje Ling Rinpoche does not speak of anything of Dorje Shugden because he knew full well, who Dorje Shugden is. After all, they say Kyabje Ling Rinpoche is one with Yamantaka himself, another form of Dorje Shugden.

it's interesting, isn't it? Dalai Lama says that his teachers (which include Ling Rinpoche) were "wrong" about dorje Shugden practice. Ling Rinpoche and Trijang Rinpoche were both very strong Dorje Shugden practitioners. If what they say is true about dorje Shugden being a demon and sending his practitioners to hell and making them suffer, then why did Ling Rinpoche reincarnate back among us, safe and sound and not at all suffering in hell? There are many contradictions in what they say about Dorje Shugden's practice which do not fit Dharma logic at all.

The illogical arguement in the Dorje Shugden ban that DS is a demon or a spirit is so obvious to everyone  that even the blind can see and the deaf can hear.

Moreover,  the current incarnation of  Ling Choktul Rinpoche was officially recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as the true reincarnation of the late Kyabje Ling Rinpoche at the age of 2 in 1983. He was then enthroned in 1987. So how can Dalai Lama condemn Dorje Shugden practitioners while he is the one to recognise  the incarnations of these DS high lamas? It is just so obvious that Dalai Lama is working hand in hand  behind this......for a bigger picture that all of us are dying to see.

So if HH accepts Ling Rinpoche new incarnation, enthrone, received teachings from Kyabje Ling Rinpoche...so doesn't that mean that HH is teachings are from a line of lineage Gurus that practices Dorje Shugden "the spririt" ? So if we take initiation from HH the Dalai Lama... then doesn't that mean we will not gain any results/attainments?

Like it or not because of this BAN on DS pratice... we now have Shar Gaden Monastery which is a revolution and will definitely grow bigger and stronger and change the history of Shugden Gelugpas... it is watching a prediction  that Dorje Shugden will arise soon has just begun. Say whatever the may

Wow! Ling Rinpoche's previous life was the Gaden Tripa and also the tutor to the 11th Dalai Lama. What an esteemed master and it seems that he is carrying on his role very well! He is also a master of humility and we hardly hear much about him as he humbly goes about his sacred duties. I guess, in part we are overwhelmed with Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche due to the lineages, teachings and blessings we gain from him but hardly hear much about Ling Rinpoche. It is easy to forget that they were both  Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche heart disciples and so every teaching, blessing and ritual that the Dalai Lama does is due to the kindness of Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche.

I heard that Ling Rinpoche in this life has chosen to keep a low profile because of the Shugden issue. He has limit his contact to many people to prevent being accused as a Dorje Shugden practitioner. I wonder if it is true, because if it is, it would be very sad indeed for someone who was the abbot of Ganden and also the Dalai Lama's tutor to have to be treated this way. Can anyone confirm this?

It is said that the unmistaken incarnation of Kyabje Ling Rinpoche was born in 1985 in Dharamsala, India and in 1987, recognized again by the student of his previous life, H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama. The young current incarnation is currently focusing on his monastic studies at Drepung Loseling as well as giving teachings all around the world, proving to be just as powerful a scholar and spiritual guide as his predecessor.

The Gelug assembly of Varanasi University requested Kyabje Ling Rinpoche to compose for them a simple way to do the fulfillment, confession, request for activity and serkyem for Mahakala, Kalarupa, Palden Lhamo and Dorje Shugden. Thus Kyabje Ling Rinpoche composed the following text (Source: Jam mgon rgyal ba’i bstan srung rdo rje shugs ldan gyi ‘phrin bcol phyogs bsdus bzhugs so. Bylakuppe, India: Ser smad gsung rab ‘phrul spar khang (1992), pp. 63-69) http://www.dorjeshugden.com/great-masters/tributes/a-tribute-to-his-holiness-kyabje-ling-rinpoche/

Now why would the Gelug assembly of Varanasi University requested Kyabje Ling Rinpoche to compose for them a simple way to do the fulfillment, confession, request for activity and serkyem for Mahakala, Kalarupa, Palden Lhamo and Dorje Shugden if Ling Rinpoche rejects Dorje Shugden practice and does not practice it himself???

Strange don't you think?

When we look and analyze the two main Gurus of our Gelug lineage and HHDL Guru were students of Je Pabongka... in other words almost all the teachings we received today and received by HHDL were from Je Pabongka. So if Je Pabongka practices something demonic and wrong, then why on earth to we continue to follow the rest of the teachings when the source it came from is wrong. Basically whatever teachings HHDL gives today came from this same source.... so in other words he is passing down teachings from a contaminated source? If like this we might as well stop all our practices and yes stop going to HHDL teachings whether you are a Shugden practitioner or not!

As a young monk, Ling Rinpoche’s education followed the general monastic curriculum, beginning with the five major texts – the Prajnaparamita, Madhyamika, Pramana, Vinaya and Abhidharmakosa. Commenting on the five major texts and the expectations of monastic training, Ling Rinpoche wrote:

"These basic texts of each of the five main texts, as well as the commentaries by Je Rinpoche, his son-like disciples, and Panchen Sonam Dagpa are memorized. We were expected to comprehend the meaning of both the root texts and their commentaries, to discuss all their difficult points, and to clearly analyze and understand the different points of view of the principal Indian and Tibetan masters. Thus I studied thoroughly, debated with wise and intelligent dharma friends and gained considerable knowledge."

Panchen Sonam Dagpa is Dorje Shugden... which is supposedly demonic, so the monks in all Gelug monasteries are learning from a demonic teacher, hence might as well stop all studies in the monastery then, no?

If that is the case then it would be the same as saying that the entire Gelug lineage is evil because Dorje Shugden's past incarnations are 3 great masters of the Gelug tradition, and also that the Sakya lineage is corrupt because Sakya Pandita, Buton Rinpoche and the previous Sakya Trinzin are the previous incarnations of Dorje Shugden. So then what is holy anymore? Unless of course, Dorje Shugden isnt really a demon but the Dalai Lama is saying this to steer his followers to a direction, or to prepare the grounds for them to accept Dorje Shugden as their ultimate Dharma protector.
