Letter Circulating in Tibetan communities around the world.
« on: March 04, 2008, 11:31:56 AM »
Please find attached herewith two very important subjects for your kind
attention and action. Please make sure that all Tibetans in your respective
communities are fully informed about the contents and urge them act
accordingly.

1.       Shugden: His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed on 9th January 2008
at Mundgod about holding a referendum on Shugden. Since 1970s His Holiness
has advised us again and again that shunning the Shugden worship will be not
only beneficial for oneself but also one's relation with His Holiness and
Tibet cause.

2.       Chatrel: This special provision offers every Tibetan (from 6 years
of age) to procure a green booklet to be within the Tibetan community in
exile. To avail of this offer in getting a green booklet within the time
frame will make one proud of being a Tibetan under the leadership of His
Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Government. You will receive detailed
procedure information from the Office of Tibet under whose jurisdiction your
community falls.

I kindly ask you all to acknowledge receipt of this mail by return. I would
like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have acknowledged my
mails dated 28.11.2007 attaching therein Parliament News 4 and 30.12.2007
along with enclosure of my report from July to December 2007.

Best regards,

Chithue Sonam MONKHAR

Interesting another article on how the Ban was creating division and segregation among the Tibetans in exile over Dorje Shugden.

Just read for the mechanics how the Ban was formed by hiding under the pretence of democratic choices.

It smells very undemocratic to me. Nothing new here but apparently if we are not educated to the workings of democratic system we might think it is nothing wrong.

CTA would go such length to purge Dorje Shugden practitioners but the effort to help Tibetans to grow economically is very little, their actions become very questionable.

Dear Fruven, I totally agree with you.  I have mentioned before that if there is no Ban all the resources that Shugdenpas have can be used to propagate the tradition instead of using to combat adversity.

At the same time CTA can use their time to elevate the economic situation of Tibetans in exile.

This is one of the type of sufferings created from this ban.  All lose and no one benefits.  Fighting and controversies are a waste of resources.  On the part of the Shugdenpas, it is very difficult to be doormats, especially when information about Dorje Shugden is untrue.
