As the Admin clearly points out in his article "Panchen & Shugden", it is obvious that in time the Dorje Shugden practice will flourish in China, and all over the world (except in a few small Tibetan settlements under the flying flag of a doubly non existent country).

No matter how sad these things may seem at first, but looking beyond they can be inmensely beneficial.

This is the door to freedom, the starting point to separate politics and religion...

May those Dorje Shugden followers do not miss this great chance!!!!

This message was posted five years ago in 2008, when it is said that Dorje Shugden practice will flourish in China...and today we see that lamas like Lama Jampa Ngodup and Trijang Rinpoche are teaching there. How prophetic!

And how compassionate and far-thinking to realise that things can seem sad and difficult at first. But I have always been taught, when we want to do nasty things, everything will be in our favour because it IS the Kaliyuga time when positive is viewed as negative, and negative is encouraged. When we want to do something good like practise Dorje Shugden, the Protector of OUR time, of course obstacles will arise to prevent us from our practice. And I supposed, a period of purification as well...

I like to think that these Dark Ages (when we have to practise in secret) are our period of purification and testing, to build up our tolerance for resistance and obstacles, and train us in overcoming difficulties so that when the ban is lifted, we have become so well-versed in skilful means that spreading Dorje Shugdens practice will be a piece of cake!

Personally I think, despite all of the difficulties due to the ban, now is a very exciting time because there is SO much potential in both the east and the west for the dharma to spread like wildfire. People are becoming increasingly unsatisfied with the current materialistic, capitalist mindset that money is the key to happiness, and are frustrated with the dogmas of the current "major" religions with all of their infighting and bureaucracy.

I was a bit too young to be around during the first "wave" of dissemination of dharma to the west. But who do we think of when it comes to those who really spread the dharma in a way suitable to modern-day practitioners? Teachers like Trijang Rinpoche, Zong Rinpoche, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and so on. All relied on Dorje Shugden to spread the dharma far and wide. Can you imagine what will happen when the ban is lifted?

No matter how you wanna see it, Dorje Shugden Lamas are in general more successful compared to the non Shugden Lamas when it comes to Dharma activities. Name one non-Shugden Gelug Lama that everyone knows other than the Dalai Lama (except for Lama Zopa because he is practicing in secret). None. There will be no one in that category because those who dissociate themselves with Dorje Shugden cut short the lineage blessings from themselves. This alone should tell everyone that Dorje Shugden is correct. the prophecy came true for China and now Dorje Shugden is spreading like wildfire there amongst the Tibetans and it will spread over to the han Chinese soon.

Speaking of prophecies, this reminds me too of how the previous Trijang Rinpoche has also prophesied that there might seem to be conflict between the Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden, and that we must remain patient and not carry wrong view of either, for that would be the behaviour only of a very low level practitioner. This is what was written in Music Delighting The Ocean of Protectors, an essential text written by Trijang Rinpoche about the practice of Dorje Shugden:

"But some who are narrow minded, not understanding this point, consider this Dharmapala to be like an ordinary worldly being and, with supposed faith in the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama, disparage him; or else they indeed admire this great Dharmapala but criticize the Dalai Lama or Panchen Lama. Using either one as a reason not to admire the other and speaking badly about either in any way is the conduct of an ordinary being who, under the influence of attachment and hatred, just tries to help friends and hurt enemies; it obscures the increase of these great holy Aryas' deeds and creates the karmic cause to experience unbearable suffering in the future. Why is this true? Because it is utterly impossible that such great beings, who are special emanations of Arya Avalokiteswara and Buddha Amitabha, could lack the power to overcome the harmful force of any sort of magical spell, harmful demon, or spirit."

And later,

"Again, some who like to speak illogically say that there is resentment between this lord of Dharma Guardians and the Great Dharmaraja Nechung and that it is therefore unsuitable for the Tibetan Government and its workers to rely upon this Protector."

So he indicates here how important it is for us to maintain the pure view always that both the Dharmapala and the Dalai Lama are enlightened beings, and NOT to develop wrong view about either, because we're simply led astray by the talk and speculations of others.

Prophetic indeed, for while the storm blew around us during the height of this ban on Dorje Shugden, just how many practitioners out there succumbed to peer pressure and ended up either disaparaging the protector or the Dalai Lama?

Now, it will becoming clearer that both of them were working towards creating something bigger - that the practice of Dorje Shugden is growing in the largest country and the fastest rising power in the world, is a clear example of this.

Well said beggar. Both Dorje Shugden and HH Dalai Lama are enlightened beings. We should not develop any wrong view about either. I still believe that the ban is simply illogical that it will cause harm to the life of HHDL. Instead, I do believe that it is for a bigger picture such as to create a lot of news and awareness about Buddhism and Dorje Shugden so as to bring it into China as well as the west.

With this year is the year that Trijang Rinpoche turns 30 and starts to go around the world to give initiations (http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/news/trijang-rinpoche-visits-europe-2012/), would be every excited to see him spreading Dorje Shugden widely.
Can’t wait for the ban to be lifted soonest!

Trijang Rinpoche is quite clear on this issue, as if he knew that a ban was coming. To think otherwise would be a great fallacy. To me that advise is crystal clear for me on how to manage the ban and how to see this whole issue as without affecting our Dharma practice. So many people chose to forgo Trijang Rinpoche's advice on this matter (and thus broke their samaya) so how can attainments come to them? It is different if they are still practicing in secret and outwardly does not practice to show respect to the Dalai Lama. The whole thing could be another method for both the Dalai Lama and Dorje Shugden to benefit many people in the world en masse.

True Tibetan practitioners in Tibet will never follow the China backed Panchen Lama. Everyone knows he is a fake. There is not one single photo of him in Dharamsala here or the Tibetan communities throughout India.

The most successful lama in the world at all levels is His Holiness the Dalai Lama. No other lama has surpassed him now or ever. And he doesn't practice Shugden. What do you make of that?
You don't need Shugden to make you 'successful'. :) Shugden is dangerous and you must not promote his practice nor practice.

Lol you didint read that I did say, other than the Dalai Lama. There are Lamas that is the Dalai Lama's equal in their own way. If you say that no lamas surpass the Dalai Lama in any way, now or ever, are you saying that Lama Tsongkhapa, Guru Rinpoche, Atisha, Nagajurna and Shakyamuni do not surpass or cannot compare to the Dalai Lama both in thought and deed? The Dalai Lama is wonderful and great and if it works for you and others, good for you and them :) but it is too far away from me and I'd rather train with a Guru that matches the description in the 50 verses of Guru devotion rather than whether or not they practice a certain deity. If Dorje Shugden is dangerous, then Trijang Rinpoche and the like would have been in the lower realms by now but instead their Dharma work only grows.

This post was created in 2008 and revived in 2013 and some of the prophecies have proven true.

This post mentioned that under the current Panchen Lama recognised by the Chinese Government, Dorje Shugden will grow and those living in that era should not miss out.

Come to think of it Serpom Monastery is having a new beginning now.  Let us watch.  More is coming.
