Here's pics of HHDL in one of the many monasteries built in Tso Pema area. The place is small and looks very humble.

It makes me wonder, why does HHDL spends so much time, effort and stresses so much for other traditions but annhilating his very own......

Most likely Nyingma monasteries will not recite Tsongkapa'a mantra. But that does not mean Gelugs are justified to worship the spirit Shugden.

Sectarianism does exist among some people of all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, but Shugden is a whole other issue. He is a spirit and he has nothing to do with sectarian rivalry. He is a problem on his own. He is just a evil spirit.

Shugden is just a front and a mouthpiece that allows the other 3 schools to express their disdain and disapproval against Gelugpa because for them to announce it publicly would make them obviously sectarian and people would start to ask "if you're really Buddhist, why are you sectarian?" So to avoid that, they simply criticize a Dharma protector unique to the Gelugpas to get the message across.

You see, it is easier to say that a particular Dharma protector that is unique to a certain tradition to be bad than to say directly that the tradition is bad, because if you make it too obvious that you think a certain tradition is bad, people will think that your tradition is bad. So the perfect solution would be to attack their Dharma protector, then tell your close students to spread the word.

Advices like "don't go to lamas who are connected to Dorje Shugden" implies to forget about Gelug completely, as the current generation of Lamas are all influenced and under the lineage of Pabongkha who transmitted Dorje Shugden to all off them. It is pure, blatant sectarianism on a whole new level. Dorje Shugden is just a cover/excuse for such mindsets…its much more polite to say that than to deliberately say that Gelug is bad.

In that retrospect, the Dalai Lama only gave the other traditions a platform to express their disapproval for Gelugpa and at the same time. the backwardness of the Tibetan people so that some of them will see that and improve from there instead of always whitewashing history and not learning anything….

Thank you Ensapa... you certainly made me think! What a plot huh? Something out of a great movie even. It makes a lot of sense that Dorje Shugden is made the "scape goat" and used as the object of criticism to attack the Gelug tradition.

The funny thing though is that the criticism really has no basis if one looks at all the facts but still this faction exists. Can't wait till the ban is lifted and those that have criticized would have to gulp their words down so hard they would choke!

Whatever the case is, HHDL consecrating Guru Padmasanbhava statue is a clear example of how all the different schools should act. Why fight between ourselves... surely the divide between other major religions clearly show us that unity is key.

It is because the Gelug school is the biggest, most established and the most powerful school of Tibetan Buddhism; so it doesn't need his help as much as the other older schools. This is a fact and is so simple. Moreover, since he is from the Gelug school, he naturally helps  the Gelug school just by being himself. This is the bone of contention of these other schools and from it arise the sectarianism issue.

I believe this is a great act of a Mahsiddha, what seems annihilating may be actually the opposite ie actually building. The proof is that the Dorje Shugden practice is the fastest growing practice now and future potential growth is mind boggling. Dorge Shugden practice is the single most effective practice for beings of this degenerate times.

Personally to me, Guru Rinpoche, Dorje Drollo and Dorje Shugden all contain the same wrathful and enlightening energy. There is no difference between the 3 but the appearance. So in retrospect, the Dorje Drollo on Dorje Shugden statue is stupid because it represents Guru Rinpoche supressing and tearing himself up and it will generate the energy that will cause unfortunate circumstances to arise.

The Dalai Lama consecrating the statue is actually him trying to send a message to the nyigmas that Tsongkhapa is one and the same with Guru Rinpoche, which is in actuality a very powerful statement to the nyigmas to not hate gelug and also to reinforce and remind them that Tsongkhapa and Guru Rinpoche is one and the same in nature and for them to not be insecure.

To unite Tibet, the other sects must feel that they are part of Tibet and that they are accepted and represented fairly in the parliament. They also need to feel that Gelug is not trying to usurp their monasteries as there were many rumors that the Gelugs wanted to do so in the past. All these are nothing more than insecurities by the other traditions.

The last and most interesting prophecy is the Karmapa telling the nyigma monastery that one day they will all have to rely on Dorje Shugden...does that mean that the nyimas will have to practice Dorje Shugden too in the future and HHDL is just planting seeds..

If only all of us Vajrayana aspirants truly have guru devotion then all the bantering about Dorje Shugden and different lineages of Vajrayana would not have escalated since each of their own inception decades and centuries ago.

If only those students of the Great Fifth had real guru devotion. If only those students of all the sects had real guru devotion. Then we may now be talking about how to proliferate the dharma instead of fueling own Three Root Poisons. Ah, samsara

During this degenerate times, as prophesied  by Karmapa, even the Nyingma monastery will one day have to rely on Dorje Shugden so I think that what HHDL is doing is just planting seeds for the time to come when all sects will have to rely on Dorje Shugden.

Anyway HHDL has set a very good example of how all sects should be in harmony when he consecrated Tso Pema's Guru Padmasambhava Statue Project.
