Confession prayers and emptiness
« on: July 08, 2012, 11:10:06 AM »
I find that when Im doing my prayers, depends on what period of my life it is or what Im going through, but different verses with jump out at me. The last few weeks Ive been thinking a lot about this:

Quote
In the presence of the Gurus, Yidams, Protectors and their retinues,
I confess that even though all phenomena are completely pure, like space
Out of ignorance, as in a dream or an illusion
I have committed many wrong deeds.

I was thinking that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. They have no permanent form, smell, sight, taste and feel so for deeds to be deemed wrong, I could be coming from a couple of perspectives. (1) for me to operate out of the view that they are permanent and unchanging, that is wrong view, therefore making the actions wrong deeds (2) when I act out of a view that phenomena in permanent, the actions are selfish, thereby harming others and therefore making the actions wrong deeds.

Of course I may be totally off the mark with this. Anyone care to correct me?
