Great news, I rejoice to hear that people are creating such blessed and large images of Shugden. The larger the merit, the greater the merit, from the craftsman, to the sponsor, to the practitioner.
Would be a great idea to have this statue as the central image of an altar, surrounded by smaller images of the other emanations and entourage. It would be perfect for a statue or an individual practitioner's private practice room.
For our new friends who may be wondering what the big deal is about how big the statues are or not (pun intended), there is a lot of significance in the sizing, detailing and creation of statues. We are taught to view the statues not just as statues, but as a "vessel" (for lack of a better word) that the enlightened beings (in this case, Dorje Shugden) will be invited to reside within. They are not just a block of metal / wood etc. They become the Buddhas themselves. So we should put as much effort as we want towards making the statues as beautiful and perfect as possible - this is an offering of effort on our part, which is very powerful.
Size matters, across many levels - the larger the statue, the more time is spent by the craftsman making the statue. For every moment that he spends on the statue, he is collecting tremendous merit for this and future lives. The sponsor will have to spend more money to "purchase" the statue - this is also symbolic of the effort that he has spent to earn that money, which he now puts towards a Dharma item which people will come to worship and pray to.
Then, the larger the statue, the "easier" it is for more beings to see the statue (this is why, in some places, there are very huge outdoor statues, which can be seen for miles around by people and animals all around the region). It also increases the chances for small beings, like small animals, insects, birds etc to touch or sit upon or circumambulate the statue, thus also creating great merit.
So this is indeed great news to rejoice in, knowing how many more beings will be able to see Dorje Shugden in this larger form and receive such powerful merit. Thank you for the news and I wish that everyone here will one day have the chance to bring home their very own large DS too.
