Just wondering what you lot make of this? Seems like something thats come straight out of some sort of spook novel. Suppose then its no surprise that the CTA were trained by the CIA! I just find it sad that the CTA are literally killing off their lamas, for the sake of political correctness. And the heavy karma on that driver who jumped out of the car...

All this also reminds me of Ling Rinpoches recent accident (which wasnt caused by the CTA) when his driver died...how many more innocent people have to die because of this ban?

Geshe Yeshe Wangchuk from Sera Mey was a prominent Geshe who spread the Buddha Dharma and Dorje Shugden practice all over Tibet. He was born in 1928 and entered Sera Mey Monastery to be a monk when he was 16 years old. From humble beginnings, he became an unexcelled scholar, debater and had innumerable students across Tibet and India. He had unparalleled mastery of the Indian treatises and the Tibetan commentaries.

He was arrested and imprisoned by the Chinese authorities and because of his highly respected status, he was assigned to hard labor designed to humiliate him. No matter how hard they tried however, they could not break his will. Upon his release, he worked hard to preserve the Buddhist literary tradition in Tibet. In 1986, Geshe Wangchuk sat for his Geshe exams and was awarded the Geshe Lharampa. He was also the first to be awarded the Geshe degree since the Dalai Lama fled Tibet in 1959. When China lifted travel restrictions on Tibetans, Geshe Wangchuk traveled all over China, India and Japan to teach. This allowed him to be the spiritual guide of many Tibetans in India including the current Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and Kyabje Zong Rinpoche. Just before he passed away, he was shortlisted to be the tutor of the current Panchen Lama, Gyancain Norbu, in China but because of his untimely demise, he was unable to fulfill that role.

In 1997, he was killed in a car accident in Kongpo which was allegedly engineered by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). On the day of the accident, Geshe Yeshe Wangchuk had to travel. Just before departing, the Geshe appeared to have a premonition. Normally, his attendants would accompany him when he traveled, but this time, he told them to stay behind and he went alone. He was the sole passenger in the car with the driver and midway through the journey, the car careened off a cliff. Just before the car hit the bottom, the driver escaped by jumping out of the car.

The Geshe was said to have come out of the wreckage and sat on the ground outside the car, where he entered clear light. Several lamas from his monastery came to the area of the accident and did pujas around him. As a sign of his high attainments, he remained in clear light meditation (Tugdam) for around eight days after the accident. Later, the Chinese police managed to track down and arrest the driver but he denied all accusations of foul play.

While it was inconclusive who actually assassinated Geshe Wangchuk, most people believed that the CTA was behind the incident. It is not surprising because all Dorje Shugden lamas suffer from constant death threats issued by supporters of the Dalai Lama because of the Dorje Shugden ban. Within the Tibetan community in India, the CTA is well known to deliberately publicize the whereabouts and identities of Dorje Shugden lamas that, implicitly encouraging assassination attempts.

In fact, a 1998 documentary on Swiss Public TV, entitled “Dalai Lama/Dorje Shugden”, reported that there was evidence of violence and even death threats towards Dorje Shugden practitioners. It also claimed that wanted posters of Dorje Shugden lamas were being posted in Dharamsala, encouraging violence towards practitioners. Recently, even H.H. Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche has to travel with bodyguards when he is in Europe!

Simultaneously, we also ask ourselves – why did people automatically ascribe the causes for Geshe Wangchuk’s death to the CTA? Despite the lack of substantial proof of the CTA’s involvement in Geshe Wangchuk’s accident, perhaps the CTA should ask themselves why so many people would even think that of them? What causes did they create to be associated with the untimely and unexplained death of such an attained being? Most of all, it is only logical to consider why there are so many unanswered questions, arising from the mysterious and unclear dealings of a supposedly democratic and just government.

I am deeply saddened by news like these. It shows very clearly that the CTA, although they claim that they do protect the Dharma, actually does little to nothing to do so and in fact does things to destroy the Dharma and to silence those Lamas who are not in line with their policies, sometimes by killing them. They killed Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen in the past and they're just repeating it now and thanks to the western media, all of these have been whitewashed, and even worse Dorje Shugden has been blamed on causing his death when it was the CTA all along.

Even in degenerate times, high Lamas such as Geshe Wangchuk manifests his mahasiddha qualities! Unshaken by the car accident, Geshe Wangchuk could still come out from the car and sit in proper meditation as he enter into clear light. THIS IS LIVING PROOF that DORJE SHUGDEN LAMAS have attainments and assisted by the protector do not have any fear of death.

How could people claim that Dorje Shugden is a spirit or a demon when he helps protect high Lamas on their transition to his next destination? Makes no sense!

If it is true that the CTA is behind suh acts, it really has no ground to give lessons of ethic and moral to nobody, not to Dorje Shugden practitionners, not to the Chinese Governement.

Sadly, the story of Geshe Wangchuk's death has been spun around by the CTA, and they have their version of Geshe Wangchuk's death that they point Dorje Shugden to be the cause, when it was the driver that they have hired to assassinate Geshe Wangchuk is the real culprit behind this. Has CTA not learnt its bitter lesson of losing Tibet when they killed Reting Rinpoche? Now they killed another high Lama just to further their political goals....how sad and selfish because it will only result in their downfall. Imagine if Geshe Wangchuk was to educate the 11th Panchen Lama, how much people could benefit!

I guess the truth of how Geshe Wangchuk died might not be told. But why is pretty clear. It could had been just an accident or it could had been an assassination plot but whatever it was, a great teacher is gone. But he will be back to continue where he left off or he could have already returned. If his incarnation had been found, he could now be in his teenage years to see the ban on Dorje Shugden being brought down soon.

I can only hope that his reincarnation returns so that the ban can  be lifted soon. However, there is no guarantee if the CTA in this case would install another puppet tulku that's politically correct just to inherit his ladrang or his title just so that the real one cannot continue his Dharma work in Dharamsala. But in any case, I really hope that Geshe Wangchuk would return maybe in China and be able to benefit even more people and not just tiny little Dharamsala. Again, it is the CTA's loss. But from this account, it seems that the driver had every intention of killing him.

Dorje Shugden practitioners are the ones accused of being murderers yet here is just one example of the CTA's assassination plots that have been revealed. Others are well-known attempts on the lives of Dorje Shugden masters such as HH Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche, which forced the young incarnation to leave India due to the threat on his life.

How can any government be sanctioned when they carry out murders, whatever the reason, let alone on purely religious grounds? Isn't buddhism about peace and harmony, not death and destruction?

There is also a more recent assassination plot where Kyabje Dagom Rinpoche was poisoned slowly over a period of time with poison put into his food. He is well aware of this but choose to eat them anyway, the way of how Milarepa choose to manifest his death. There were many signs that point that the CTA was behind his death, and I do really hope that he will return soon to spread the Dharma again and open more Dorje Shugden temples to push the ban off the cliff.

This is a solid proof that one can achieve attainments by practicing Dorje Shugden.

If time and time again it has been proven that Dorje Shugden Lamas can easily control their deaths and enter clear light meditation, wouldnt it mean that Dorje Shugden is not a bad deity but a good one instead?  But I guess the Dalai Lama's fans are too blind to see that because they are just too blinded to look at things from a more objective level. The other more sad outcome of these shenanigans is that most of these lamas are also bad mouthed these Dorje Shugden Lamas and as a result many people in the west do not know of their existence or have a wrong impression of them.

Obviously, the Tibetans and the CTA would not hesitate to kill anyone that they perceive is in their way of Tibetan independence, and that includes high lamas that they think is obstructing the independence of Tibet. They have no regard for life or for anything that is holy, as long as they can get what they want. But on the other hand, it also demonstrates on how the Dorje Shugden Lamas have full control over their rebirths and deaths at the same time. At the end of the day, the one on the losing end is the CTA and not these high lamas and if they continue and not repent, it will cause them to be closed down soon.
