How to read Texts
« on: April 08, 2009, 02:39:31 AM »
Dear all,
Though i'm not planning to learn Tibetan as I think unless all of a sudden my tradition required me to. I believe the time has passed for me to learn since so many in my tradition have done the hard work already!
I do however would like to pronounce the words better.
When you read such texts like the ones Trinley Kalsang presented and ones such as 'Enlightened Beings'by Janice Willis you can clearly see the kindness of the translators.
When written phentically such as in many books these days and with almost all of the Ordained Sangha's names..it's much easier to say them, but when it comes to these others I cannot help but get lost and manifest a Headache when trying to read the names correctly.

Does anyone have a program or something just as good  that would help me pronounce Tibetan much easier?
