The Panchen Lama benefitting China and the world

The 11th Panchen Lama (Gyaincain Norbu) now teaches in China, and beyond the controversy over how he had been recognized, is, for many, the genuine Panchen Lama.

Not just anyone can be bestowed the title of Panchen Lama and survive the task, surely it must be someone very special, in fact, if the Panchen Lama is what history shows he is, then he could have made it in such a way to be reaching to his status, not that he grasps onto it but because with this status he can help many faster, more efficiently too.
Enlightened beings may emanate in more than one physical "entity", several Masters have been recognized in more than one rebirth living concurrently.
Thus there is a high probability that the actual Panchen lama in China may actually be the real deal!

The 10th Panchen Lama was highly respected, he taught to hundreds of thousands, from farmers to high ranking officials and scholars.
I will not be surprised that the current one will do the same and achieve recognition not only from within but also, eventually, from outside China, proving his status through his enlightened actions.

It is just really amazing how all the debates can be going on with regards to who is the actual Panchen Lama. Although there are so many people that has already recognise which is the Panchen Lama, there are still so many schisms that are going on.

So who should we be listening on who is the "actual" Panchen Lama? No matter which side we support, there would definitely be things to counter back saying that we made a mistake.

Wouldn't it be better if we just let the who is the "actual" Panchen Lama matter down and rejoice whenever they teach to masses, spreading Buddhism far and wide?

Ive always believed in this, and I still believe it now - I dont give a toss who the real 11th Panchen Lama is. Why? Because lamas can emanate in many forms and not just one body. If we think that he will only appear in one body, then were very silly to limit the enlightened mind in that way. What movie was it that three children were recognised to be the reincarnation of a Tibetan lama, as the body, speech and mind emanations? I forget.

But thats not whats significant about this article. The fact of the matter is, the Panchen Lama is equal to the Dalai Lama and HE wrote this prayer. And whats so significant about this prayer? Sure the 5th and 14th Dalai Lamas had their one-page praises to Dorje Shugden, but just LOOK at how many pages the Panchen Lama used to praise Dorje Shugden. Even the length of the prayer tells you this protector wasnt any other deity to him, that he found this protector to be particular beneficial, beneficial enough to devote so many pages to him.

Why should we give a toss about the Panchen Lama and the fact he wrote this prayer? I mean when your talking about high lamas, this is the highest of the high. He surpasses all of the abbots of all of the monasteries, he surpasses Trijang Rinpoche, Pabongkha Rinpoche, all of them. He is the one who has the attainments and the qualities to rule Tibet in the absence of the Dalai Lama. Yes, all of these other high lamas ARE holy and good but the Panchen Lama is in a league of his own.

Hes the guy who can provide spiritual guidance to all of the lamas, in the Dalai Lamas absence, and who commands authority over all of the monasteries if he so wishes. And this text is so important because its one thing to teach someone elses works, but its another thing entirely to compose a prayer that people can recite, to invoke an enlightened being to assist us in our Dharma practice.

I just wish I could read Tibetan!

The Dalai Lama bans the practice while the Panchen Lama supports and writes praises for this protector. Frankly speaking, would this type of controversy really be attractive to the people in this world? Would they be interested to find out more when they are so busy handling their daily affairs? Can things be simpler and more accessible for the people to learn and practice rather then be embroiled in politics? This battle can be a little too personal. What do you think?

Given the dramatic recognition of the other Panchen Lama by the Dalai Lama and his mysterious disappearance and the appearance of this Panchen Lama would seem to point towards a measure of foul play. Despite this controversial beginnings, the current Panchen Lama seems to become quite a charismatic little spiritual leader in his own right.

True, there is a belief that high tulkus like Panchen Rinpoche would have not 1 but numerous emanations. However, that concept alone might boggle some minds and upset some people's world view of incarnations. Whatever it is, Panchen Lama may have already preplanned this whole thing like a charade but for what cause and reason? Naturally to bring Dharma to people in China and elsewhere. Perhaps, to bring a sort of leadership to Shugden practitioners in China? Perhaps.

As long as the Panchen Lama is giving authentic and genuine teaching about Dharma, than it is alright with me. I think , we are smart enough to differentiate what is right and what is wrong. Time will tell.

Like the Karmapa there could be several versions of the karmapa.

Some people have accused the Dalai Lama for revealing the true Panchen Lama and getting the boy and his parents to caught by the authorities. Dalai Lama is a monk and his awareness is much more refined and sharper than most people and do we think he does not know the consequences of him mentioning about the Panchen Lama.

Most likely it was all planned  by the dharma protector, this outcome.

DharmaSpace may be right about the fact that the dharma protector had made predictions on the rightful Panchen Lama to be recognized and the other who was caught by the Chinese authorities. If we think about it, the Dalai Lama had banned Dorje Shugden and does not rely on DS protector's advice. Therefore the Dalai Lama had relied on the source of advice of the other "enlightened" protectors who may have pointed out the not "rightful" Panchen Lama. Who knows?

I still think that what Dharma Defender has said is more likely to be what is happening. Panchen Lama is being reincarnated not only to one form, but instead (in this case), two forms. We would never know who is speaking the truth as well as there would definitely be supporters for both sides. And the only beings that would be able to verify would be the high lamas that are emanations of Buddhas, or enlightened protectors.
