Nechung Rinpoche practiced Dorje Shugden!

It is impossible to engage in the study of the King Protector Dorje Shugden and avoid discussions of Nechung, the State Oracle who approached Duldzin Drakpa Gyaltsen to commit the latter to an oath to arise as the Protector of Tsongkhapa's teaching on the Madyamika. We see also that Dorje Shugden and Nechung have historically collaborated to protect the Dharma and the history of Nechung Monastery itself proclaims that Dorje Shugden will take over as the Dharma protector of the Tibetan people.

It is only in recent times that Nechung has been used as yet another instrument to demonise Dorje Shugden and it does not add up that the protector who caused the arising of Dorje Shugden should now disparage him. It would mean that Nechung made the mistake of his "Dharma career" and broke his oath to Guru Rinpoche to protect the Dharma. How could Nechung have done the right thing to uphold his oath if indeed he was responsible for creating the "demon" who is trying to destroy the Dharma. It doesn't make sense.

Not surprisingly it is said that the Nechung Rinpoche practiced Dorje Shugden himself and this comes from  a very reliable soruce "TK" who provided much of inside (and accurate) facts about the protector practice and what actually goes on behind the scenes. Have a read:

Thank you vajratruth give us a strong point that Dorje Shudgen is not a demon. This is really make sense that Nechung will not create a demon but is a dharma protector to benefit all. This is straight, simple and logic point, nobody should have doubt on it. Moreover, HH Trijang Rinpoche is one of the core Dorje Shudgen practitioners. The ban on Dorje Shudgen is effect to everybody except HH Trijang Rinpoche. I think HH Dalai Lama will not make such exceptional to HH Trijang Rinpoche if Dorje Shudgen is a demon and subsequently will harm his guru later.

Totally agree with what Sandra has said. If Dorje Shugden's practices really harms anyone, then the Dalai Lama would not allow his guru Trijang Rinpoche to do Dorje Shugden's practices as well.

Just like what Vajratruth has said. Nechung would not break his promises to Guru Rinpoche. His promise is to protect the Dharma, hence Nechung would uphold it no matter what happens. I believe that all these controversy that is going on now would be something that the CTA is hyping it up in order to create stories that would make others think that they are the ones that people should take pity on them. Making China seem as though they are the "bad" people for not giving the Tibetans back their land and also not letting the Dalai Lama entering China/Tibet grounds again.

It is just unfair that people keep saying Dorje Shugden is a demon and keep putting different accusations on Dorje Shugden like that.

WHAT Nechung Rinpoche practiced Dorje Shugden himself If this is the case, I don't see anything wrong with Dorje Shugden practice and why must a ban is imposed to Dorje Shugden practice ??  Interesting !!! What is the main reason behind all these

You know what this is a conspiracy by those who are in power that if normal tom dick and harry started practicing Dorje Shugden, tom dick and harry will be smarter and mindful and would questions what are happening behind their backs, questioning those who are in power. You wouldn't want this too happen, would you? You will lose your position of power. Precisely, this is what will happen.

Wow. This is great. But we must remember that it is Nechung who made Dultzin to arise as a protector and it is Nechung who reminded Tulku Dragpa Gyaeltsen of His promise. It is Nechung who created the conditions for TDG's murder that enabled TDG to arise as Dorje Shugden.
Of course Nechung's role is huge is the history of the protector. So it is not surprising the Nechung Rinpoche practices the Protector.

Till this day His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) still faithfully consult Nechung through the state oracle knowing very well Nechung is an unenlightened worldly spirit. In reality the real spirit is Nechung whereas Dorje Shugden is a fully-enlightened Buddha! Whom are you taking refuge with? 

HH Dalai Lama, CTA and those concerned are disqualified as Buddhist due to their reliance on Nechung for refuge and for forsaking Buddha Dorje Shugden!  In that case they are not in the position to tell the Buddhists i.e. Shugdenpas not to propitiate Dorje Shugden. They have no basis or right to ban Shugdenpas from practising Dorje Shugden while they rely and consult Nechung. What double standards!

We all know for a fact that Dorje Shugden is not a demon and the ban is baseless. Nechung is an interesting character like in any movie who is aiding and abating the hero to grow and spread far and wide, although he may appear foolish and contradictory.

Just like what Dondrup say, the Dalai Lama and the CTA had been consulting an unenlightened protector, in other words a spirit. With this, how could they be banning the practice of Dorje Shugden saying that it is because Dorje Shugden is a spirit, people should not practice his practices.

If this is the case, they should immediately remove Nechung as the state oracle as well. Because Nechung is a spirit. Hence, with them not doing so, their argument is invalid as they too consult and practice practices of unenlightened protectors or spirits.

Surely this flies in the face of all those who uphold the ban on the practice of Dorje Shugden. There are so many things that if people really knew and thought about would highlight the absurdity of the ban, and this is one of them.

Why to do people always forget that it was Nechung himself who asked Lord Duldzin to arise as a protector in the first place? And if practicing a non-enlightened protector is bad, as is claimed my proponents of the ban, why is the practice of propitiating other obviously and unquestionably un-enlightened protectors still allowed?

It is not surprising that Nechung Rinpoche practiced Dorje Shugden. He played a huge role to Lord Duldzin to arise as a protector because he knows the Dorje Shugden is an Enlightened Being.
