It is said in the Lamrim that the highest gift to anyone is of the Dharma. What you have given is the blessings of the protector that create the merits for one to receive the Dharma in every lives until Enlightenment. At the same time in this and all future lives one will be protected from all negative conditions, have peaceful environment and mind, provided with harmonious abode and from disaster, provided long life protected from diseases, provided all material and spiritual needs etc, etc.

What a gift. The highest of the high, not just for this life but also for all future lives.

When we are chanting prayers and mantras,we are invoking a feeling of closeness to a particular Buddha,which could take on the aspect of compassion,wisdom or even wrath, with Mahakala and Kalarupa exhibit.So when we recite mantras and prayers to Dorje Shugden who is the personification of diamond like indestructible power, Vajra power is appearing to the "minds' of those who think of this mantra.This phrase which gives confidence,energy to reach the final goal of Enlightenment,liberation from Samsara.

Thank you for sharing and re-posting this wonderful treasure. I happened to watch a great video on YouTube regarding the resonance of sound and how important a role mantras play in creating vibrations that can transform our thoughts and the environment. When we chant, we also change our brain waves patterns and is now scientifically proven that by doing so we can create inner tranquility and peace. That is why the chanting of mantras on a whole does have its therapeutic and physiological effects on our state of mind.

When we chant mantras we are actually invoking the energies of the Buddha.
Mantras are also prayers that are the spiritual energy of the Buddha in the form of sound.

Not only is the mantra of Dorje Shugden expained but there is a very nice section towards the middle, which elucidates the visualization to be done while reciting the mantra.

We can recite any of these mantras at anytime of the day or night for us to remain connected to the dharma protector, especially when we don't have alot of time to do a complete sadhana.

When we recite these mantras, we can recite them in 7 or 21 or 108 times. We will not be able to see the effects of reciting the mantras at the moment in time but we may be able to see the effect of that later as a result.

Can anyone else share some of their experience here as well?
