THE LIST is all anyone is talking about
« on: May 23, 2014, 12:36:55 AM »
So this list that the Tibetan leadership publishes has 20 Tibetans, their names, photos and in some cases their addresses. Frankly, as a white guy Im a little sad Im not on the list. Come on, dont I do enough posting on this forum to warrant an appearance? DAMMIT  ;)

Quote
Tibetan leadership publishes hit list
http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/tibetan-leadership-publishes-hit-list/

On May 20, 2014, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA; the Tibetan leadership) published a list titled, “List of Dolgyal followers who protested against His Holiness the Dalai Lama in US and Europe” onto their official website. The list comprises of 20 Tibetans who protested against the Dalai Lama in Europe and the USA. There are many more Tibetans who they have not listed yet.

What is the purpose of publishing such a list which does not describe the people’s crime? In fact, if you read the article and its title, there is only one thing that the Tibetan leadership finds these people guilty for – the ‘crime’ of protesting against the Dalai Lama. As far as the CTA is concerned, any opinion that does not agree with theirs or the Dalai Lama’s is an act of treason punishable by ostracization and perhaps violence, no matter how justified or logical the opinion is.

Any reasonable person will now question what kind of leadership publishes the names and addresses of peaceful protesters on their website, for the mere act of speaking up against the leadership who implemented an unjust and undemocratic ban on religious freedoms. Among the leaders who published such lists are dictators like Mao, Stalin and Hitler. Their lists were routinely denounced by the free and democratic world. Is this what the Tibetan leadership wants to be known for?

The ridiculous publication of this list has not escaped the world’s attention. Even the Dalai Lama’s followers question the Tibetan leadership’s logic in publishing such a list. People like Thierry Dodin (who recently gave an interview against Dorje Shugden practice) and Jamyang Khedrup have said that such a list and further publications of ‘wanted’ photos is a very bad move. Thierry Dodin even says that publishing such a list like this is “exactly what the Chinese would have done”.

This list defies credulity. Defies belief! How  can any reasonable person or group in this day and age ever be so ridiculous as to think that a list like this will just stop people from worshipping Shugden?. Indeed, now it has attracted the world's attention but for the wrong reasons. Now the world sees this list as reminiscent of the actions of dictators like Hitler or Mao.Can the tide begin to turn on anti-Shugdenists, with public and world opinion growing against them?

This is the list of "Dogyal' followers  who had staged peaceful protests against Dalai Lama's imposition of the ban on Shugden worship which has brought indescribable pain and suffering to Shugden practitioners, particularly in India. This list,as even a pro Dalai Lama camp supporter says is "inviting a pogrom" ( an organized attack , usually with pillaging and massacre, upon a class of the population). It's like a "wanted" list, an implicit order to capture or to kill.

It really shows how the Tibetan government plays violent towards the Shuden practitioners. It’s so unprofessional. Showing the list of the people disagree with the non-religious freedom practice by the Tibetan government obviously is to harm those people.

Good point of why not showing the westerner…this is because it’s so much to do to harm them and they are protected by their government unlike the Tibetan government harming their own people.  It’s such an embarrassing action from the Tibetan government. If anything happen to the people in the list it’s obviously is the act from them. The Tibetan government not only lost their country but also their dignity and humanity.

No surprise that they never ever can claim back their country and whatever remain will just get smaller and smaller.

This list really sounds like lets broadcast a list of all these people we don't like and hopefully some of these country bumpkin Tibetans will do the dirty work for us at no cost and expense. I am sure if the lay Tibetans can hurt the list of 21 directly, then lets find out their families. They are sure to have a family everybody has a family.

What the CTA is doing is reminiscent of the Days of Mao during the Cultural Revolution anyone who does not conform needs to be eliminated, or the Taliban. This is a dark dark time for Buddhism. I have heard of the CTA's hit list from some years back, now I live to see it in person. CTA is really evil to publish this list.

Their lives are in danger now! With the recent violence that occurred at Trijang Ladrang and others, surely they will be attacked or something. Even their families will not be spared. So, the CTA is telling the whole world that these are the people who are against us and please know their faces. Those who attacked the hit list, will fall into the CTA's trap of not getting their hands dirty. It is like saying, "Tibetans, you do the dirty job!"

I guess this is the CTA's 'underhand' way of inciting violence and persecution against this protestors, as if the blame ever got back to them they could deny ever inciting violence as a simple list for the public to be aware of those who protest against HHDL. This is a very sad turn of events but clearly shows that the CTA are becoming desperate in their attempt to enforce such a ruthless ban. I agree with the sentiments of the other posters on this thread, but truly believe that we will now see the CTA resort to more actions like these, showing that the plight of Shugden practitioners is gaining international recognition, and that the work of my brothers and sisters who practice Dorje Shugden and those who are working hard to educated others around the world about the falsity of the ban and the plight of those who are subjected to persecution due to their religious beliefs.

Great they have make the list! This shown to the world that the CTA actions and what they have claimed are different. They told the press, there are no Ban, then what the list for? It is a serious threaten and also shown that the CTA are capable to act on violence towards their own people !

Now the world knows CTA's actions! How to protect the Tibetans if they continue to act like this? Practicing Dorje Shugden is not harmful in any way.It is CTA's actions that are harmful.Stop the violence on the innocent Dorje Shugden practitioners who only want to practice peacefully.

Independant from the fact that the list has been published on the internet, the main thing we learn here is that there *IS* a list. And if there is one list could there be additional lists (more hidden)? As we know there have already been lists previously. It seems that these kind of lists are one of the CTA’s favorite “tools” instead of democratic tools. What a shame for all the western people who support the CTA with a lot of money hoping to support something good

The CTA are getting more desperate to clamp down and suppress the DS practitioners through threats and violence. This shows how barbaric they are! If there is no ban as what they claim, then why come out with the lists? How many more will be punished?

Firstly, the assistant of HH Trijang Rinpoche, Gen Chonze was attacked http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/the-controversy/cta-creates-violence-again,/, next Domo Rinpoche’s monastery was attacked http://www.dorjeshugden.com/forum/index.php?topic=4878.0, and even  outspoken advocates against DS ban were threatened with death! http://www.dorjeshugden.com/forum/index.php?topic=4826.0.

It is shameful that the CTA resort to such undharmic and uncivilized acts to counter the Shugden movement for religious freedom and human rights!!!

What CTA is doing is so tactless and barbaric!  We are no longer living in the barbaric Tibetan times where you are able just to run the administration like their own shop. There are consequences in what they have done. By putting the HIT LIST out is inviting a lot of issues, lawsuits from the human right group.

I hope CTA has good advisors. There will be lots of issues coming their way.

The International Shugden Community's responds to Dalai Lama ‘Wanted List’:

Posted on May 26, 2014
Responding to the CTA wanted list inciting violence against prominent Tibetan Shugden Buddhists, the ISC’s legal representative has written to each representative of the Tibetan Government in Exile. He has informed them that they will be held legally responsible for any harm that comes to these Shugden Buddhists as a result of the CTA’s actions.

The duty of a government is to care for all its citizens. The CTA does the opposite. The world is watching.

Mr. Kaydor Aukatsang – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in North, South, and Central America
Mr. Tsewang Phuntso – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Latin American countries
Mr. Tsering Dhondup – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Paris
Mr. Tseten Samdup – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Central and Eastern Europe
Mr. Thubten Samdup – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Northern Europe
Mr. Ngodup Dorjee – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Western Europe
Mr. Lhakpa Tshoko – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in East Asia
Mr. Sonam Norbu Dagpo – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Oceanic and South East Asia
Mr. Dawa Tsering – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in Taiwan
Dr. Ngawang Rabgyal – the Dalai Lama’s legal representative in the Commonwealth of Independence States

Wanted! Dead or Alive! USDXXXX reward! The list reminds me of the wanted posters in the wild west. LOL.

The matter of fact of this list however, is no laughing matter. 20 people on the list have their lives immediately threatened not to mention that of their families and friends.  The CTA is really dastard and their practice is 180 degree away from that of the very religion that their suppose to believe, Buddhism. The list is not less than a death sentence to the people on the list. In some cases, death may be better.

On the public relation side, the list is a public relation disaster for them. I should laugh but for the above reason, I am laughing. For spiritual reasons, we need to practice patience and hope for the best. Better, we need to work hard to lift then ban so that similar list would not need to arise.
