Vatican ignored three requests by His Holiness Dalai Lama for courtesy visit.

Just read this and thought to share it here with you all. Truthfully, I am hardly surprised. As usual, China is to blamed in this thorny issue. With highest respect for His Holiness Dalai Lama, I am rather disappointed at the failure to obtain an audience with the Pope. On the other hand, have the Tibetan government-in-exile ever thought of this as karma coming back to them?   

 The Vatican has ignored three requests by the Dalai Lama for a courtesy visit to Pope Francis in recent months, an official with knowledge of the situation told Reuters. The Dalai Lama travels to Italy next week to give teachings in Livorno, but has not been granted an audience with the Pope.

    "It shows the power China has even over the Vatican," the official said. "From our perspective it is just the meeting of two spiritual leaders."

He said many world leaders were unaware that the "middle way" policy of the Tibetan government-in-exile did not seek independence from China, but "genuine autonomy" and an end to repressive policies.

    "To stop this repression, we are willing to compromise and not seek separation, what we are seeking is genuine autonomy for the Tibetan people within the framework of the Chinese constitution," he said.

Sangay wants China to stop repressive policies and seeks autonomy for Tibetans in Tibet. Well how about Tibetan Dorje Shugden practitioners in exile? Are they not repressed by you continuous encouragement of the discrimination on Shugden practitioners. On top of that you encourage family, frinds, students and teachers to break apart causing disunity! How can you request this of China and ask for dialogue when your leadership does the same to your own people? It is quite Hypocritical and does not create the causes for success with China nor your own people!

Yup thats karma returning full force based on the wheel of sharp weapons.

China has probably smartened up, now they are taking on the mantle of global leadership from the US.

They have learnt to play the game on the world stage, that to use more subtle and high level methods rather than telling the whole world they wrong about China. China has > 1 billion people, Tibetans only six million, If the Vatican is keens on saving souls, better to work with China right? So no dialogue with Dorje Shugden people, will result in no more dialogue with all parties that are within China's sphere of influence. 

Plus I do think the demonstrations not once, not twice, persistent ones wherever the CTA brings the Dalai Lama is having a lot of effect. Demonstration is the effect of having no dialogue between Dorje Shugden practitioners and CTA/Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama would rather have dialogue with non buddhist like the Bon or even previously persecuted Jonang sect than Dorje Shugden, makes no sense to carry on this way.

Tibet wants its freedom, if they truly do, unite the Tibetans and be fair.

Shows that His Holiness's presence in the world is not as important as the power of China. When His Holiness passes on, the CTA will be nobody. The Chinese do not need Shugden practitioners to protest against His Holiness, because their influence in this world is huge. Therefore the claims from CTA that Dorje Shugden practitioners are Chinese spies has no basis, just because the Chinese do not need DS practitioners as spies. Also, the Tibetan Youths has noted that some of the DS practitioners they have come across do not have money and sometimes need to borrow money from the non-ds practitioners as well, so it proves that they are not taking money from Chinese government.

Funny that the Pope has denied an audience with His Holiness, just like how His Holiness and the CTA has denied DS practitioners from having an audience with His Holiness himself. What you do to others, comes back to you. No one can escape karma.
