Amazing indeed! With a huge crowd of 400000 attending the Monlam Festival, even more than the total number of Tibetans -in-exile, can anyone doubt that in Tibet in China, Dorje Shugden practice is flourishing!
Chatreng Sampheling Monastery monks and laypeople are to be admired and greatly respected for their strong Guru Devotion. In the absence of their Guru, the illustrious Kyabje Trijang Rinpocche, their Guru devotion is all the more remarkable. Ajeka, for one, who spent all of 20 years in the building of the Monastery, is to be lauded for his fierce Guru Devotion and his being a strong and unshakeable Shugden practitioner.
The impressive 3-storey statue of Tsongkhapa is testimony to the hard work and determination of the people of Chatreng, especially its 100s of monks and 1000s have lay-people.
Chatreng Sampheling Monastery must surely be remembered for having produced members of the band of Chushi Gangchuk warriors, selected by Dorje Shugden, through the Panglung Oracle, who escorted HH Dalai Lama to safety in his flight from China to India.
