DHARAMSHALA, July 28: The Tibetan government in exile along with International Gelukpa Association and Tibetan Do-med Association will offer a Long life prayer ceremony (Tenshug) to the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his 80th birthday next year.

The Long Life Prayer ceremony will be held on June 21, 2015 due to his pre-scheduled programs in United States of America on His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday.

The Long Life prayer ceremony was first proposed by Tibetan Do-med Association in 2012 and later joined by Tibetan government in exile and International Gelugpa Association in organizing the ceremony.

Addressing a press conference, Lhundup Dorjee, Secretary of Department of Religion and Culture said, “We have been advised to make this long life prayer ceremony jointly, which we accepted gladly because Tibetans always believe the confluence of prayer, confluence of your offering have more value than doing it individually. So, we treat this as a very auspicious occasion and we gladly accepted it.”

The Tenshug Committee also requested Tibetans in India to donate Rs 3 and others living across the world to offer the same amount in their respective currencies by February 28, 2015.

Thomtok Rinpoche, the abbot of Namgyal monastery representing the International Gelugpa Association, also noted that besides the Long Life prayer ceremony the International Gelugpa Association will organize various programs including a discussion on religion and education.

Tenpay Ngodup, President of Tibetan Do-med Association said, “In Domed region of Tibet, it is a custom to celebrate 80th birthday of any member in a family or high lama in a grand way to pay tribute to the person. And His Holiness the Dalai Lama is loved and respected by not just Tibetans but many people around the globe.”

The Tibetan government in exile in May announced a series of major events as part of the “2014 Year of His Holiness the Dalai Lama”.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, Tenzin Gyatso, was born Lhamo Dhondub to a peasant family in a small village called Taktser in Amdo (Ch: Qinghai) Province, north-eastern Tibet on 6 July, 1935.

For Tibetans the world over, the Dalai Lama’s birthday is one of the most important and auspicious occasions in a year and is normally marked by elaborate celebrations in traditional Tibetan way.

Offering a grand long life prayer ceremony for the emanation of Chenrezig is surely a meritorious deed. I am very sure no Tibetans would want to miss out on this virtuous act. His Holiness have just celebrated his 79th birthday recently in Ladakh conferring the Kalachakra empowerment to thousands. I wish His Holiness would have strong body and healthy life to continue spreading the words of Buddha.
This shows that the worship of Dorje Shugden DOES NOT shorten the life of His Holiness as claimed.

Then, according to this very logic, offering a grand long life prayer ceremony to a psychopath terrorist is surely a non-meritorious deed, right?

I think we cannot judge Buddha's actions from only the surface. If we do that we are very short sighted. Actually we cannot never judge a high Lama/Buddha's action, period. If we are patience and discern the results of these apparently evil actions we will see that the results is tremendously positive for the greater good.

Similarly, sometimes as a child we may think that our parent's action is bad and even evil be since a parent generally has the best interest of the child in their minds the results is usually for the greater good. Hence, lets not be the child but we should just respond positively to these actions by taking a positive attitude toward it.

I prayed for His Holiness long life on His birthday even though I am a Shugden practitioner. His is not my Guru but my Guru has thought me that He is Chenrezig and has benefitted many. Despite His ban on the Protector practice; which on the first level of results has caused much sufferings to many, we must not think of His Holiness as anyone else except Chenrezig Himself for one will not experience anything one has not sown.
If is like when a Guru slaps a disciple, we should not think that the Guru is abusing the disciple. The Guru is actually purifying the karma of the disciple. Similarly, the ban has a similar effect.

It is Chenrezig and Manjushri working together for ALL sentient beings in these degenerate times.

Long life to His Holiness and the Guru!

Actually, it is the other way round. We can and should judge anyone's actions before irresponsibly calling them a ”buddha”.

One should be specially careful not to irresponsibly call such a vicious terrorist as the evil dalai a ”buddha” or a ”mahasiddha”, thus endorsing and legitimizing his crimes

If we do that we are very short sighted.

And if you call a perverse criminal such as the evil dalai ”a buddha”, how far-sighted is it?

Actually, the sacred Mahayana Sutras and Shastras state very clearly that we can an should carefully examine anyone presenting oneself as a teacher, and thoroughly reject those charlatans not fulfilling the requirements of a valid teacher.

Therefore, you have just stated a idiocy, period.

Then please be patient and show the rest of us the ”tremendous benefits” of putting fire on oneself, of murdering innocent civilians in Lhasa, and of committing heinous actions of immediate retribution such as causing schism within the Sangha.

Quote

Everyday we see in the news parents who have murdered their own children. Two days ago this happened in Maine, US. http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/national-roundup-family-of-5-including-children-found-dead-in-maine-apartment/2014/07/27/f46b22ea-15d3-11e4-9e3b-7f2f110c6265_story.html

But, in the current case, the dangerously childish one is the ridiculous stooge dalai, and thus every reasonable sentient being, taking into consideration the evil dalai's best interests, should help catching him and putting him behind bars, which is where a terrorist belongs, as one do with a mad dog infected with rabies.

Hence, lets not be the child but we should just respond positively to these actions by taking a positive attitude toward it.

Great. This means that you are now a grown-up girl and not Little Red Riding Hood anymore, that you do not believe anymore that the Wolf evil dalai is Grandma Chenrezig, and therefore that you are going to stop supporting a terrorist and his terrorist acts. Congratulations.

And the Buddha taught that his followers are supposed to think with their own heads.

And what are you sowing when you promote an evil terrorist as ”Chenrezig”?

But since those suffering and dying because of the psychopath dalai are just experiencing what they have sown, then this means that the psychopath is Chenrezig, is it?

This is because you see the evil terrorist as your guru; no wonder that you follow his footsteps glorifying evil and terrorism, as exemplified by his medieval witch-hunt.

Actually it is the evil dalai and his fanaticized supporters such as you working together for the idiotification of all sentient beings, as it fits these degenerate times.

In my opinion, the longer Dalai Lama lives the more obvious his claims on practicing Lord Shugden shorten his life is a false. As a Buddhist I will wish the Dalai Lama to live long but for a greater reason, for lifting the ban and unite the Vajrana practitioners under one roof again.

The ban has created so much suffering and broken Samaya from the practitioners to their Guru for their broken promises and vows towards their practice. That is very bad. Dalai Lama need to lift the ban and give the opportunity the those practitioners be it laymen or monks to repair the samaya in order for their practices to be flourish and to bring the Buddha dharma far and wide to the world to benefit many.
I’ll pray for the long live for the ban to be lifted!

HHDL can't be great throughout so many lifetimes up to the time he declared the ban on Dorje Shugden and be a terrorist after that. It's illogical. Benefiting others is not only looking at this current lifetime. It also encompasses future lives until we become Enlightened. We will see the truth when it eventually unveils.

It's important to keep educating the public of Dorje Shugden because through knowledge, more people will realise that the ban is illogical. When the momentum picks up, CTA will have no choice but to release the ban because their contradiction will become more apparent.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama who is believed to be the emanation of Chenrezig had so far manifested so many evil actions in the form of the ban on Dorje Shugden.  It is hard to accept that there is a bigger picture to this ban. And this bigger picture is about His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama making Dorje Shugden the most popular Dharma Protector of this time and age who will benefit many.  However, this is done at the expense of the Dorje Shugden followers experiencing tremendous amout of suffering! For ordinary folks like you and me, it is difficult to have this pure view of His Holiness' actions.

What baffles me most is why aren't all the high lamas who are the Dorje Shugden practitioners come out in the open and together speak out against His Holiness' ban on Dorje Shugden and His Holiness' atrocities todate?  United as a force, these Dorje Shugden high lamas and all the other Dorje Shugden followers can put a stop to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama once and for all!

If the current 14th Dalai Lama is proven to be false as he is claimed to be, then it is only a matter of time that the ban on Dorje Shugden will be lifted.  Please refer the other thread about the false Dalai Lama http://www.dorjeshugden.com/forum/index.php?topic=5040.0
