No one likes the Dalai Lama anymore
« on: September 06, 2014, 09:56:30 AM »
Interesting article from "Global Post" from 4th September

"The Dalai Lama is losing friends all over the place as the world undergoes a geopolitical realignment." Perhaps the Dalai Lama's naive political stance on blaming all of Tibet's woes on China has finally backfired?

You want to know why people don't like him?
  1. Can't tell a Karmapa from a random dude
  2. Can't follow enlightened protector Shugden, but relies on spirit oracle (not sure what is Nechung really) Nechung
  3. Lies non stop to everyone, saying he's a pope etc.
  4. Teaching in person was NOT anything like his books
  5. Actions are not what he says to do (hypocrite)
  6. Sold Tibet to the communists while blaming Shugdens for it
  7.  Isn't the brightest bulb in the shed.

  Any questions:)?

It does not serve any nation any good to jeopardise their diplomatic relations with China who is currently the economic superpower and then loses the trading opportunities with China.  The Chinese government views His Holiness Dalai Lama as the enemy that poses a threat to the stability of Tibetan Autonomuous Region in China.  Hence many western nations do not welcome HHDL's presence in their countries for fear of incurring the wrath of China who won't hesitate to impose trade and other sanctions against them.

The world is beginning to be aware of HHDL's and Central Tibetan Administration's unfair discrimination on Dorje Shugden followers. If HHDL does not lift the ban, He will be remembered as the first in the history of Nobel Peace Prize Winners who does not walk his talk.  HHDL is a Buddhist who has no compassion and continue to let Dorje Shugden followers suffer from the effects of the ban!

HHDL is already politically and economically not welcomed by western nations.  He will become even more unpopular if he continued to maintain the ban on Dorje Shugden.

H.H. Dalai Lama banned on the practice of Dorje Shugden has produced nothing but disharmony and sufferings. As an omniscient being he would have foreseen the misery and confusion such a ban would cause. The world is watching with much concern as he refused every request for discussion and debate.
H.H Dalai Lama needs to tell the truth and lift the Dorje Shugden  ban to regain his popularity.

Certainly, the popularity of the Dalai Lama is waning.  Who would dare to offend China, the current dominion and emergence of world economic and military superpower at the expense of trade and bilateral relations of one's nation.  Many nations would not like to be placed in the freezer by China for befriending the Dalai Lama and standing in solidarity with Tibet.

The next country which might be coerced into submission is India the host country of the Dalai Lama.  In which case the Central Tibetan Administration and the Dalai Lama would face much challenges in maintaining an exile entity.  As it is now the Central Tibetan Administration is not recognized by China and hence the existence of CTA is bleak.  They could be asked to dissolve or face expulsion from India and return to China.  In this stance China will only receive them with a specified term and condition, that is to practise the protector Dorje Shugden.  Wouldn't this be the wheel of sharp weapon returning to CTA in a good way?  :)

Interesting point you mentioned about India. India has their own interest to protect themselves from. What would you do if your neighbour is causing trouble to your relationship with others? CTA is creating more enemies by discriminating its own people for practicing Dorje Shugden.

This is why the protests and information dissemination about the lies of the Dalai Lama should continue and indeed accelerated.

Very soon, the Indian government too will be asking themselves - just whom have we given refuge to?

The Chinese government dislikes the Dalai Lama as they view the Dalai Lama as a political threat and in view of the growing economy of China, no one dare to offend and jeopardize their relationship with China. His refusal to lift the ban and his lies of Dorje Shugden has created so much suffering for practitioners also make him unpopular. So much disharmony, problems, unhappiness arise because of the ban of Dorje Shugden. He contradicts what he preached and many have the opinion that he is a hypocrite. So how can he be liked by others?

I am still of the opinion that Dorje Shugden and the Dalai Lama are working together to spread Dorje Shugden and Je Tsongkhapa's tradition.

The Dalai Lama's has done much, created a ban that splits the Tibetan people and the Tibetans are fully aware of this, the ban he has initiated has created a lot of violence and counter violence, monks discriminated, schism amongst monks, monk property sized improperly, monks and lamas threatened, he has managed to attract the attraction of demonstrators wherever he is. So the Dalai Lama is exactly where he has positioned himself to be.

The Dalai Lama being Chenrezig has no fear, if this current life ends he can find another rebirth to once again to continue his work and bring the dharma to sentient beings. So no worry about the Dalai Lama.

Who stands to lose the most with the Dalai Lama's popularity at an all time low?

CTA naturally of course. CTA is starting to become a wounded animal and they stand to lose the most with the waning popularity of the Dalai Lama. We do need to take note of CTA, the wounded animal.

Oh dear. What have happened to the world. Much as I hate the disharmony and sufferings caused by the ban on Dorje Shugden practice, I still have the highest respect and regard for this emanation of Avalokiteshvara. Yes, I am fully aware of the ostracized Shugden believers and the many other consequences of the ban imposed by His Holiness Dalai Lama. I am praying fervently that the day will come soon that His Holiness would verbalize from his holy mouth to stop torturing the Shugden practitioners and it is perfectly alright to practice Dorje Shugden.

Tibetan Shugden Buddhists have had to leave their fire-bombed homes; send their children abroad for their own safety; have been tortured; have been murdered. These are all horrible crimes that the Dalai Lama is solely responsible for.
Four million Shugden Buddhists are affected by this illegal ban that has been allowed to perpetuate by irresponsible journalism and irresponsible politicians.
So perhaps it is about time the Indian Government took their collective heads out of their collective asses and stood up to their ill-mannered guest. The Indian Government has to power to restrain the Dalai Lama and his band of thugs, the CTA.

I cannot pretend that I like the Dalai Lama now with the Dorje Shugden ban and the toll it has taken and is still taking on innocent people, sangha and lay, who refused to give up their practice and guru devotion. And the world leaders have noticed the injustice brought upon these people with this ridiculous ban on religious freedom and human rights. I do not know the Dalai Lama's motivations but those actions do not make sense to me. And I guess to many people out there. Hence the decline of his popularity.

Remember CTA declaring that the Tibetans in exiled are democratic. CTA are equally responsible for the ban. The fact that CTA going along with the ban for so long and now with all the evidences pointing Dorje Shugden has nothing to with the Tibetan cause and Dalai Lama's health, this shows their disregards for the Tibetan communities. They are tarnishing the image of Buddhism and high lamas as we speak.

I wouldn't say that it is completely correct but if you were to really have faith in Buddhism, Dorje Shugden and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, then you will realise the fact that His Holiness is very passionate towards upholding and spreading the Dharma, even if He had to make everybody hates Him. This is how compassionate His Holiness is.

His Holiness is very passionate towards upholding and spreading the Dharma,

The evil dalie is very passionate towards promoting gruesome self-immolations, bloody racist riots, the CIA anti-China hate agenda, relentless witch-hunts, schisms within the Sangha, and so forth.

But since you call this sinister agenda "upholding and spreading Dharma", you obviously suffer from some deviation in your Buddhist education. Somehow you mistake gangsterism and terrorism for "Dharma".

Quote
even if He had to make everybody hates Him.

While the evil dalie indeed became a hateful entity, he does not deserve hatred but just compassion, as any misguided crackpot. He should be compassionately inserted where he belongs, the garbage bin of history.

Quote
This is how compassionate His Holiness is.

Since according to you becoming a hateful entity as the result of pursuing a sinister criminal agenda is a sign of "compassion", then evildoers such as Jack the Ripper must count as high bodhisattvas in your version of Buddhism, right?
