His Holiness the Dalai Lama is confirmed on his way to the prestigious Glastonbury Festival at Somerset. I am just wondering if they will put up a sign to say Shugden practitioners are not allowed to revel there since His Holiness is making an appearance and giving a speech.
His Holiness has confirmed he will be taking to the stage at the prestigious music and arts festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset in June.
Regular festival-goers can't wait to see the 79-year-old Buddhist monk perform - but unlike the headline acts he will appear alongside - he won't be playing any instruments.
On his official website the Dalai Lama, the head monk of Tibetan Buddhism, revealed he will be giving a talk on the closing day of the event on Sunday, June 28.
The announcement said: "Public Talk in Glastonbury, Somerset, England on June 28.
"His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning."
The festival plays host to a range of diverse performers, with country music legend Dolly Parton and Metallica, the first heavy-metal band to play at the farm, taking to the famous Pyramid stage in 2014.
Despite being sold out, so far the only act officially announced for the festival is Lionel Richie, who will take the Sunday legends slot.
According to the official Glastonbury Festival website, the full line-up of acts will not be announced until the spring.
