What Nechung Kuten La Says About Shugden
« on: January 10, 2015, 04:45:49 AM »
If Kuten la really respects the different traditions even Christians, Hindus, Muslims, he should also respect the Shugden tradition which is no different from others whether it is considered to be above the Lord Buddha Shakyamuni or not.  Why is there discrimination on Shugden tradition?

Janna Weiss
There are seven billion people in the world and many other creatures. Compared with the other creatures, the human population is a minority. In Buddhist teaching, we make a great effort to appreciate the human birth and also the Ten Endowments and the Eight Conditions. Se we all know how precious our birth is and if we look at the teachings, how rare to have this kind of birth and then from a scientific standpoint, we can investigate.

So all sentient beings want happiness and don't want suffering. That is a very essential issue we have to understand. And so if we look at the human capacity and at our intelligence and capacity for learning and knowledge, our position is very unique.

Lions and tigers have bigger bodies. Human intelligence makes us unique creatures. We should really appreciate this fact. And so, if we appreciate this unique intelligence that we possess and appreciate that we all strive for happiness and that we are all striving for that, then we can really appreciate this human birth. We look at the causes... And if you look at the qualities of the Buddha, only a human birth can attain these qualites, so then the human birth becomes really rare and precious.

And so we know we live in a world rich in diversity of religious traditions and rich in philosophical traditions. Each offers unique contributions for our [diverse spiritual needs].
We cannot say this tradition is better than the other tradition. Spiritual traditions are there to help different beings. They offer different sets of methods for the different beings. So, it's very important to respect these different traditions.

So, 1. Appreciate the unique qualities of a human birth, 2. Appreciate the unique qualities of these different traditions. As His Holiness always mentions, we should always respect and really get inspired by the different traditions, because they all offer different things, so I really enjoy the other traditions.

You may have noticed various Shugden protests in New York City. So, from my end, we really respect the different traditions. So, for Christians, Hindus, Muslims, each from their end has their own rules and disciplines. Shugden are claiming a new Gelukpa sect, more important than Buddha Shakyamuni, and that Shugden is Manjushri. So it is really difficult for us to accept that this is a Buddhist tradition. Buddha Shakyamuni is the most important in the Buddhist tradition, and we could not consider anyone else above that, so I'm just letting you know about this.

Venerable Nechung Kuten's practice of equality is tainted with biasness!

Shugden practitioners had never claimed themselves to be a new Gelug tradition.  Shugden followers had remained faithful and devoted to their lineage practices which include Dorje Shugden.  On the contrary, it is Dalai Lama who had formed a new tradition that excludes the practices of Dorje Shugden!  Dalai Lama had abandoned Dorje Shugden and had deviated from the pure Gelug Tradition. Dalai Lama said all his teachers were wrong about Dorje Shugden.  Furthermore Dalai Lama had divided the Gelug Tradition.  Dalai Lama had allowed Jonang Tradition to break off from the Gelug Tradition to form an independent Tibetan Buddhist Tradition. Jonang Tradition had for centuries been absorbed into the Gelug Tradition previously.

There is nothing wrong to say Shugden is Manjushri!  Dorje shugden IS Manjushri.  Venerable Nechung Kuten does not understand the true nature of Buddhas at all! All the Buddhas are one nature, they are part of the Dharmakaya! Buddha Shakyamuni or Buddha Manjushri are equal! How can one be more important than another?  It is from his obscuration that he had discriminated Buddha Shakyamuni and Manjushri!

How can Venerable Nechung Kuten respect practitioners of all the different faiths and traditions except Dorje Shugden practitioners? Dorje Shugden followers cannot be more a Buddhist Tradition! Dorje Shugden followers are true Gelugpas who follow Buddha Tsongkhapa who is inseparable from Manjushri and Shakyamuni! Venerable Nechung Kuten's statement shows the level of his Dharma knowledge!

Venerable Nechung Kuten should instead question Dalai Lama whether the Dalai Lama tradition is a valid tradition. Consider the following points:
1) Dalai Lama had abandoned Buddha Dorje Shugden who is Majushri. Hence Dalai Lama is not a Buddhist for he has forsaken a Buddha and relied on a spirit called Nechung!
2) Dalai Lama said all his teachers were wrong about Dorje Shugden.  Dalai Lama had broken samayas with his teachers/tutors. How will the Dalai Lama Tradition receive blessings of the lineage masters all the way from Buddha Tsongkhapa and Buddha Shakyamuni?  If the lineage is broken from Buddha Tsongkhapa and Shakyamuni, is Dalai Lama tradition then an authentic Buddhist tradition?

Dorje Shugden followers had not formed any new rules or disciplines.  What Dorje Shugden followers practise had been passed down for hundreds of years by the Gelug lineage lamas.  It is the Dalai Lama and those pro-Dalai Lama followers who had bent the rules and thought that Dalai Lama tradition is above Manjushri!

Kuten la, stop making false statements otherwise you make an embarrassment of yourself and the pure Gelug Tradition.

[Your comment is so insightful. I read it several times. Yes, how can Kuten-la's thoughts be so twisted and be in denial? He for one should be well versed in Tibetan history. Or has Buddhism become political religion?? That would be such a shame...]

Nechung spirit pre-dates Buddhism in origin. From Bon: black magic and the occult. The Dalai Lama's reliance on black magic has led to the Shugden ban, the Karmapa controversy, and the assassination of GungTang Tsultrim, these actions are destroying all the Four Traditions.

The Dalai Lama & Nechung wish to destroy Buddhism and usher in a dark age.

Shugden are claiming a new Gelukpa sect, more important than Buddha Shakyamuni,

The funny thing here is that the verborrhagic medium ascribes to Gelugpas the very fault conspurcating Nyingmapas who, while claiming to be “Buddhists”, consider their mythical “Padmasambhava” higher and more important than Buddha Shakyamuni.

While of course Nyingmapas have every right to see their “Padmasambhava” as higher and more important than Buddha Shakyamuni, the question remains, why don't they call themselves “Padmasambhavists”, rather than “Buddhists”?

Therefore, it is quite clear that the debauched medium is just playing the dirty game of smearing other traditions in order the cover the faults of his own Padmasambhavism.

Ironically, Kutenla's predecessor relied on Dorje Shugden:
