Sacred Places of the Ganden Oral Lineage
« on: April 19, 2015, 07:32:43 PM »
Welcome my friends, to Mt Jomo Lhari. This sacred mountain is home of not only some caves of Jetsun Milarepa, but it was here on these slopes that Gyalwa Ensapa traveled to meet Mahasiddha Dharmavajra at Garmo Chozong hermitage to receive the precious transmissions of the Ganden Oral Lineage!

Welcome to the mountainside of Wolka Cholung retreat hermitage where Lama Tsongkhapa Losang Dragpa did long retreat with Togdan Jampel Gyatso and company. This is where Jetsun Jampel Gyatso earned the nickname "Juniper Berry!"

Fruven,

You welcome. It is said in Commentary to Valid Cognition that mind goes to the sight of cognition. When we read the lives of the Masters, then see actual images of their belongings or places they've done practice in or given transmission, for me it is especially blessed.

Thanks Chokyi Dorje. True that the cognition of sight links directly to the mind. The senses of which sight is part of is usually inputing samsaric images that binds us to samsara but for the fortunate ones the images of the holy can plant the seeds of enlightenment that surely will bring us to enlightenment. Whether we have the 18 opportune conditions complete or not, as long as we are born in a fortunate eon and in this case planet Earth, even non Buddhist have these seeds planted by the activities of the Buddhas and their sons and daughters.

I rejoice in these images.

So much to read, so much to see, so much to know. I will need a few more eons to just see all the holy images and places that is needed to see, what more having to learn all that is to learn. But, thank you all for sharing the images and websites to visit.
