Ultimately, the Dalai Lama has the final say anyway lol.
Hardly on an issue so sensitive to India.
Tawang, inhabited by the Tibetan Monpa people and home to the great Gelugpa Tawang Monastery, belongs to the traditionally Tibetan border area currently under Indian control, but disputed by China and India, known in China as South Tibet and in India as Arunachal Pradesh, which was the object to the 1962 Sino-Indian War,
Local Monpa people's ongoing protests oppose the construction of several environmentally damaging hydroelectric power plants. Recently, India's police has brutally murdered and injured several protesters, and abusively arrested their leader, Lama Lobsang Gyatso.
The corrupt dalie-appointed abbot of Tawang monastery shamelessly sided with powerful economic interests, favorable to the construction of the environmentally-damaging hydroelectric power plants, and therefore is repudiated both by Tawang's monks and by the local Monpa population.
Therefore, the dalie-appointed, corrupt abbot was forced to resign, while the evil dalie himself, in order to save face, has declined to appoint a new abbot. The fact is that the evil dalie has thoroughly lost his authority amongst the Monpa people, who now fully realize that the self-proclaimed “Chenrezig” is nothing but a corrupt mafioso.
The Indian central government, while desirous to go forward with the hydroelectric power plants, does not want to see a Monpa anti-government rebellion, which would directly play into the hands of the Chinese in a disputed border area. Therefore, it should not be excluded that India might eventually even renounce the power plants.
Anyway, whoever appoints the next abbot of Tawang will learn from the Indian government that this next abbot should refrain from following the disgraceful example of the already ejected, dalie-appointed corrupt abbot, and thus refrain from taking sides on the issue of the power plant.
Bottom line, not only will the evil dalie have no final say on the issue, but also he is now once and forever loathed by the Monpa people as the very symbol of brazen greed and corruption, under the abject service of economically powerful, anti-social interests.
Below follow pictures of the monks and ordinary people brutally murdered and injured by Indian police while peacefully demonstrating against the power plants supported by the evil dalie and his corrupt abbot. You can also sign a petition here:
